[Resolved]  Electricity — power cut

This is regarding general powercut which is in force in our state (TN). The power cut time is from 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm. Over and above this is there power cut after 6.00 pm also. This is affecting the large number of students who are preparing for the school final exams. The EB office here is least bothered about these challenges. They cut the power at very odd times, by 6.30 pm, 8.00 pm and in the early mornings when the whole family is making all arrangements to go for school, office and colleges. Local body representatives are least bothered about this, since these people have their own invertors / gensets to tide of the power cut. What will the other families do? Moreover, the mosquito menance is adding to the woes.

Let me remind that city has only one hour power cut. Why is this parity? Do we not vote as the city people? Does the shops away from city sell for low prices?

Would request concerned ministry to advise the local authorities to at check the timings of powercut for the next 3 to 4 months so as to enable those children to peacefully sit and prepare for the exams. Remember that one of your own kith and kin may be suffering.

Also it is understood that our area power supply has been streamlined with the installation of better transformers, but there is severe power drops. Daytime power is very poor, where essential water motor cannot be run at all. Would request the authorities to check the area for any unscruplous use of power.
