[Resolved]  Emirates / Delta — Lost Baggage and Valuable items


My family and myself travelled from USA mumbai on 31st dec'2008 via Delta connection to Dubai and via Emirates from Dubai to Mumbai. At Hartford USA, we were forced to check in our cabin baggage by delta Air hostess. When we landed in Mumbai, both bags were lost.

Next week I received one bag which were tampered by some one and my valuables such as IPOD and some cash were stolen from it. For my second bag, they initially were trying to say it is lost without tag. When we personally visited their office, suddenly they found my bag, Again, they took 2 days to get that bag and from this bag they stole my jwellery box. Both these bags were personal cabin baggage and because airline forced us to check in those we are in problem.

Currently, no one is responding positively to recover from my loss. Same experiences have been reported some of my colleagues in Infosys.
