[Resolved]  Epson Stylus Tx101 — WORST PRINTER

I completely believe with all the above complaints since I am suffering with the same condition.I went in search for refilling the cartridges at Ghatkopar and Chembur Stationaries but all rejected saying it cant be refilled.And the New one costs so high about 450 for one.With only 10-15 printouts.

Why dont we all come together and stage a protest. Either for some alternative or compensation.or to take back the faulty machine

I m totally agreed that ink cartridge of Epson Tx101 last only for 10 to 12 pages costing 25 Rs per page what a crap, even while printing i got horizontal banding in black and Cyan really i done big mistake because one of my friend advised me to buy HP printer which is far more better than Epson either u say printing cost or cartridge refill, i also install CISS but still not able to get good result really Epson Casio made fool o[censored]s.

Yes, I agree that epson cartridges are not long lasting. So I buy compatible cartridges from www.ebay.in They work very fine and I had no problem. It cost me Rs. 140 including shipping. Search for EPSON COMPATIBLE CARTRIDGES there. There are a few sellers.

But lemme ask you " what are the alternative options ?". Do we have any other printer for 3500 and yet economic to print?

answer is clearly "NO"

But there is a Patch to this problem. It is called CISS or INK TANK system or PipeLine system

Its actually a jugaad where a smart chip can make cartridges from the local inks. U have to check in Google for CISS technology and then contact some local vendor to install pipeline on the existing system.

Costs around 1000 to 1500 Rupees . Then your printing cost will reduce to less than one rupee per page.
Ever since i use CISS, i stopped taking Black and white prints. All my prints are colored and i change ink only once in an year.

mines printed 3 pages i agree its the worst printer i have ever had i am not buying any epson product again for the rest of my life and telling my friends to do the same

baba sagel ... i would like to try that ciss system, Can u give me more details as to where you purchased it from. One of the local vendor (vashi, mumbai) i contacted said it would be available for 2.5k and there are cheaper chinese varients . But i dint want to send more money on this crap printer unless it gave me proper results .

i am subhash from coimbatore,
i bought this printer Epson TX101 last year and was very happy that i could use it moderately in home for my prints but all that dream was shattered like a mirror when i went to the printer shop and asked for the cartridges for the price. and finally i got 1 compatible black cartridge which costs rs 100 it worked perfectly
and again my ink was out and this time was my colored ink i went to the same dealer and asked for the different colors for my printer which cost rs 300 for 3 colors and i got them and installed them,

but they did not work i went and told them the same story but they refused and they said there must me some problem with the printer & also told they cannot do anything as this product does not have any warranty as they said earlier.

with a hard heart i came home and figured out what could have actually gone wrong with these compatible use and throw cartridges, the ans was very simple the old cartridge was have a V6.0 chip at the back. but the new cartridge was V5.0
Bingo i got the solution, , i got the chip from my old cartridge and just pasted it in the new cartridge and that worked but it said ink was low on the cartridge.. but that was Temporary

and i searched for some refillable cartridge for the printer i got some info in alibaba.com it was the same chip which is used in my printer the V6.0 with auto reset .
i contacted them but they are whole sale dealers for that so i have to order a minimum of 5 set of cartridges, which was not worth for me. and also i faced some problem during payment.

and again i searched for the refillable in ebay.in and came across this dealer who promised me that same thing this was very cheap also and i made no hesitation in buying this product throu ebay.

i got this prod delivered in my home and i installed in my printer and PERFECT

my printer is back with life and working very fine.

Yes, Epson was totally miss leading the INDIAN consumers by printing attracting words by saying prints upto 700 pages and high resolution scans on their PRINTER Packing's. Even seeing all these complaints why consumer courts are not taking any action on the company ????

I also one of the victim of EPSON Comany from Hyderabad. Now onwards, Please spread the awareness among your friends and see that no one buys any product from EPSON.

absolutely; lets join hands & protest ; demand for our right to good products when we are paying price ;

the reseller - a known person sold the printer to me for rs 3500; one month later, the same printer cost rs 2700 at shopping mall. The reseller is teling that he made only rs 100 in the deal ; & I can talk to the distributor. also the print is bogus; non-economical at all.

I have lost my EPSON Stylus Printer Driver CD
I have tried to download it from your website and installed but the scanner driver did not work It gives the message "the epson scan cannot be started"

nothing can be more correct. i replaced all the cartridges with the new ones. the printer just refused to give out black prints. i teted the nozzle, cleaned the head twice. i printed ONE3"x3"color print. shockingly I DSCOVERED CYAN CARTRDGE WAS EMPTY!!!.
YOU HEARD ME RIGHT. 1. I COULDN'T PRINT BLACK PRINTS

Cartriges of TX 101 stop working too early, some times without getting empty. I am planning to buy HP printer separately. Of Tx101 I will use scanner.
