A Vodafone customer with mobile [protected], with photoidentity in custody of Vodafone, sent fake lottery SMS to 10 lakh people asking them to claim cash prize of 3.5 crore GBP. I spent time and money, complaining/reminding EVERYDAY to Vodafone, TRAI, DOT, Communication Minister, Police Commissioner, Prime Minister, President, media. After sustained reminders for 13 days, I received fake lottery SMS from same Vodafone mobile and with same content. Can there be any doubts that both police commissioner and communication minister are sharing the booty? How can nation tolerate Kapil Sibal on Lokpal bill committee? Total fake lottery money in two SMSs : Rs[protected] x 2000000 = Rs7, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 I don't know how to state that sum in words. When I was at school, a billion had 12 zeros, at medical college, a billion had 9 zeros. I don't know if 7000 kharabs makes a valid statement in words - I don't know counting beyond kharab. Police refuses to book FIR involving that INFINITE looking amount. Shiela Dixit's DJB wants me to submit FIR for theft of water meter costing Rs500 or else, pay a compounding bribe of Rs200. Yeah I just got the same message sent to me too in Australia! With the same wording that I had won $2, 000, 000 USD but a slightly different email. Yes it is a scam and I'm sure they will want your bank account details too!
I'm a millionaire too! LOL I'm in NSW Australia.

My message arrived at 5.08pm (my time) on 16th May, but the received time on the message said 2.08pm which alerted me to it probably coming from Asia. Message reads (exactly as below):

CONGRATS!!YOUR MOBILE NUMBER HAS WON FOR YOU $2, 000, 000 USD IN THE FREELOTTO MOBILE PROMO.FOR CLAIM, SEND EMAIL: [protected]@live.com & CALL: [protected]

When you look at the message details the Sender number is actually +[protected] (+277 being a Sth African code).

Must admit I was tempted to call or email... but thankfully googled it first!

Neha Singh, Nodal Officer : You are offering service to Talibans, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, and other terrorist outfits.
CBI should seek remand of Vodafone Chief. I represent all 10 lakh citizens targetted by you.
How is my mobile or operator concerned?

Dishonourable Prime Minister
It is heartening to note that at least salaried employees are being trapped for involvement in telecom scams. It is still more heartening to hear Subramanium
Swamy say that Anil Ambani, P. Chitambram and and you yourself would soon land up in jail.
Since every scam in India is masterminded by technocrat prime minister, your early landing in jail would boost up credibility of judiciary.
I am not amused typing this note but what else can I expected to know with FIR refused at Paschim Vihar police station on 1st May and same criminal offence
committed by Vodafone THRICE AFTER MY POLICE COMPLAINT.

Warning Lottery Scam
Everyone,

I too received this scam text. So I looked at the courier company website - not linked to any FREELOTTO emails or texts- and here is the company disclaimer I found on the Elite News website:

"We have recently become aware that Elite Worldwide or Elite Worldwide have been named in some e-mails that suggest that the recipient has won a substantial sum on the lottery or a competition and that once an amount of money has been sent to process the claim a cheque will be delivered by Elite Worldwide. Please send no money to these people. We have reported this to the police and continue to notify all who contact us that this is merely an attempt to part them from their money. We have no connection with any lottery and do not hold or deliver cheques on their behalf."

I think that is case closed. It is a scam.

Once hopeful winner.
I recieved SMSs too and i won 720.000 pounds
