[Resolved] Go Air — FLIGHT CANCELLATION | |
HI: GO-AIR FLIGHT 451 (DELHI TO MUMBAI, 5.05 AM) WAS CANCELLED ON 03 JAN 2010 CITING BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS. I RECEIVED A SMS FROM GO-AIR AT 2 AM ON 03 JAN 2010. HOWEVER THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO FOG IN DELHI DURING THE EARLY MORNING TIME. IN FACT, THE NEXT GO-AIR FLIGHT TO MUMBAI FROM DELHI (G8 229, 7.05 AM) DEPARTED FIVE MINUTES BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TIME!! THIS FURTHER CONFIRMS AND PROVES THAT THERE WAS NO BAD WEATHER AT DELHI AIRPORT THAT CAUSED THE CANCELLATION OF GO-AIR FLIGHT G8 451. ONCE THE CANCELLATION WAS ANNOUNCED, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDED BY THE GO-AIR CALL CENTER PEOPLE HAS BEEN EXCEPTIONALLY POOR TO SAY THE LEAST. I SPOKE TO VARIOUS PEOPLE AND IN ALL CASES, THE CALL CENTER PERSON COULD NOT CONVERSE IN BASIC ENGLISH!! GO-AIR NEEDS TO EMPLOY ADEQUATELY EDUCATED PEOPLE WHO CAN SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH. IT IS REALLY A MATTER OF GREAT SHAME. OVERALL, I AM THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED WITH GO-AIR AND IT'S STAFF. PERSONALLY, I WILL NOT TRAVEL WITH GO-AIR AGAIN. THE GO-AIR FLIGHT G8 451 WAS CANCELLED FOR OTHER UNKNOWN REASONS AND THE CORRECT REASON WAS NOT SHARED WITH THE POOR AND HAPLESS PASSENGERS WHO HAD BOOKED TICKETS ON THIS FLIGHT. GO-AIR HAS DONE THIS TO ME ONCE BEFORE AND I REALLY CANNOT TAKE IT ANY LONGER. I WOULD SINCERELY ADVISE THE INDIAN AIR TRAVELER TO STAY AWAY FROM GO-AIR. IT IS OPERATED BY A BUNCH OF THUGS WHO HAVE ABSOLUTELY ZERO BUSINESS ETHICS. I AM TAKING THIS COMPLAINT TO THE CONSUMER COURT SO THAT GO-AIR PROVIDES ADEQUATE COMPENSATION TO THE AFFECTED TRAVELERS. totally agree with the comments.
go-air has bad reputation for cancelling flights without a proper reason. both staff (air port, call center, etc) and management is crooked.
govt of india should take strict action against go-air management for the malpractices that are being followed on a regular basis at the expense of poor passengers.

Dear check with meteorological dept of delhi which will clear yr doubts of the fog condn.Wat u generally see on ground level, its not same on air.There were almost all airline who cancelled there flight that day.
Go Air — damaged goods
i have travel from pune to delhi on flight no g8382 on[protected]. in that flight i have miss my items on my bag. the bag is not in well possition when i recive at delhi air port.i have recive a complaint form from go air person.he ask me that complaint will clear in 7 days. but till today it is not cleared.9%

I had booked family ticket on 17th march 2009 at 9:54amTicket details is as follows:

Flight No.; 173
Date: 09/04/09
From: Goa to Delhi, Dep Time 7.25 am
Airline PNR: TJOWSR
I had urgent meeting in Delhi on 09/04/09 at 12:00pm so i had booked the ticket so early. But on 05/04/09 i had a phone call from Go Air that the my flight has been cancelled. This is very ridiculous.
If any solution is there pls.inform me.
