[Resolved]  GoAir — Lost Luggage and very poor response to situation

I travelled by GoAir (G8 229) from Delhi to Mumbai on 26th Nov 2010. The airline lost a checked in strolley bag. Upon registering the PIR with GoAir in Mumbai, I was given a few phone numbers and also the assurance that the airline would be in touch with me to give updates. I have not received a single call from them and what is more, there is absolutely no response on the numbers they gave!

I am appalled at the apathy of the staff and at how lightly they are treating the situation. Going by the number of lost luggage complaints GoAir has and the paltry amount they offer as compensation, I even wonder if this is part of their business plan to make money off passengers' checked in bags!

I am giving this forum a shot before proceeding legally against the airline.

Ohhh my God same thing happened with me on 13th Dec and flight is also same that is G8 229 from delhi to mumbai 7.05 am ...No one is picking my call

After reading above post I thinkI have lost my red color safari strolley bag...

So guys please keep this thing in mind and do not prefer GO Air to save just 400 RS ...hey god why didnt I booked indigo ticket to save just RS 400

I would like to add to it. I would say it the worst airline. I[censored] want your luggage to reach safely to u...then please dont go by GOAir.
I think you should take the airlines to court. First, their flights are always delayed. Their staff is indifferent and never available when there is a problem.
This was my experience: I traveled on Flight G8/194 fm BLR to BOM on 23rd Dec 2010. The flight was delayed and I reached Mumbai at 1.30am to find my suitcase damaged. The lock was missing and the zip broken. The bag was also stained black and filthy. I waited for the collecting staff but that took me 45 mins till a 'Rohit' arrived and gave me a feedback from that doesn't ask for my contact number.This clearly shows the arline does not care and just treats your problem like a joke!!
I was told by Rohit that the deputy manager would call within two days . It is now ten days and there is no response to his cell:[protected].
I have called the airline's Mumbai office and now told that they will call me back. They hope I will tire of waiting and drop the issue. I think this is really disgusting for the Wadias who pride themselves.Such airlines should not be allowed to operate and cheat and fool the people. I hope this is read by the owners the great Wadias!!!
I travelled by GoAir (G8 2372) from Bangalore to Delhi on 03rd Jan2011. I was carrying two strolly bags and the total weight was 25Kg, the airline staff made me pay for the extra 5 KG also. The airline lost one checked in strolley bag which had all my wollen clothes. Upon registering the PIR with GoAir in Delhi, I was given a few phone numbers and also the assurance that the airline would be in touch with me adn will definitely deliver my baggage at my house. I have not received a single call from them and what is more, when i tried to contact them they were very rude to me.

I am appalled at the apathy of the staff and at how lightly they are treating the situation. Its more than a month now, still I have not heard from them what necessary actions they are going to take. I am tired of calling them up and kind of given up my hopes...
I will never recommend anybody to travel by thie airline.
