I purchased directly from Godrej Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd., a Fridge, 250 Litres Double Door. The order was booked by Salesman D.Ashok – Code No.4428. He offered that if I pay a sum of Rs.15,525/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Five Only) a new Fridge would be delivered to me on exchange of my old fridge. I agreed for the said proposal and paid a sum of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) as advance on 18.06.2011.


A Fridge was delivered through vehicle bearing No.TN21AG 8451 bearing Invoice No.841/93145046 dated 14.07.2011. At the time of delivery, the said Fridge was in damaged condition. When it was pointed out to the person who delivered the said Fridge, Ashok, Salesman requested me to take delivery and informed me that after inspection by Technician, new Fridge would be delivered to me. I believed the said assurance and took delivery and paid the balance amount.

One technician by name Sayed came and inspected the Fridge. After a month of delivery changed the damaged door. The door which was replaced did not have a handle. From the date of replacement, water started leaking from the Fridge. After repeated phone calls and complaints, the said door was again replaced. But the replacement did not rectify the defect.

Since repeated complaints did not have any response, on 03.02.2012 I gave a Complaint and persisted that the said defect should be rectified immediately, failing which, I will be constrained to take appropriate proceedings. Then only a Technician by name Vijayakumar came and inspected the Fridge and informed me that the said Fridge could not be rectified and it must be replaced by a new Fridge. He talked to the concerned Manager. I also talked to Mr.Muthukumar, Service Centre Manager, Cell No.[protected] on 13.02.2012 and 14.02.2012. He requested me to bear with him for 2 days and he would come and inspect along with another Manager by name Mr.Vijayakumar and replace the defective Fridge with new one. Even though the Officials have categorically stated that the said Fridge could not be repaired, the same was not replaced.

Ironically, Mr.Ravi Bhatt, National Service Head sent a Letter stating that I have been selected as Smart Care Ace Customer with ACE No.[protected] and that their Technician would attend to my complaint within 4 hours. But I have made more than 500 calls from 14.07.2011. I belong to middle class family. The officials are treating me in an insulting way and informed me that I can do nothing to a big company like Godrej.

I issued a notice dated 16.02.2012 to Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Ltd., and their officials through my Advocate. Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co., Ltd., Chennai and Mr.Muthukumar, Manager, Service Centre, Chennai “refused” to receive the said notice. I am sending a copy of Notice for your ready reference and for more particulars.

Please take up my grievance and fight for my right.

Godrej Refrigerator-342 Lts — Door Handle

I had purchased a Godrej 342 Lts Blue Berry refrigirator on 11/04/2009 from a dealer in Chennai called "Chellamani & Co".
Recently the Grey plastic covering on the main door handle came off and I'm not able to fix it again.
I'm really surprised at the cheap quality of plastics used in a refrigirator costing more than Rs. 23, 000.00.
I kindly request to get the door handle replaced immediately.

Godrej Appliances India Ltd — Godrej Refrigerator Door Handle

had bought a Godrej -GFE 36 DZ Berry Blue (342 Lts) on Apr-11-2009. Two weeks later I noticed that the Grey Panel on the Main door handle started coming off at the top.
I immediately called the Godrej technician, and he came on Apr-28-2009 and told that the Grey Panel has to be replaced and that he would place an order for it. However till date I keep calling the costomer care and they give me no proper response. Please arrange for the Grey panel and have it replaced as soon as possible.
I'm very disappointed at the cheap plastics used in the Godrej refrigirators and that too in a refrigirator costing more that Rs. 24, 000.00. I'm really surprised that this has happened in a matter of less than 2 weeks since I bought the refrigirator.
Please look into this and have it rectified as soon as possible.

I have attached a picture of the fridge and highlighted the door handle on which the Grey panel has to be replaced.

I have Gogrej Cold Gold Refrigerator. The handle is broken. The serial No. of the refigerator is 009521. I lodged a complaint on 13/08/2009. My ID is 2499886. Till today even after calling on your service centre at Dombivali west four times, no responce is elicited yet. One can imagine the hardship faced by your customer after spending so much for the product.

Godrej Refrigerator — non availability of services

this is to refer tht inspite of repeating calls made on a godrej toll free numbers
in the need of a yearly maintanance contract of my refrigirator thr no response frm the company side
we ar really fed up wth my refrigator as it not giving us coolness and auto gets defrst
pls do the need full at the earliest as i am in much trouble

Godrej Fridge — Non working in spite of change of compressor

Our Godrej fridge is out of warranty and know it stop cooling and make noise from long back.

We already change our fridge comprassor but still the problem is same.

In spite of no. of call made to the service person, no one ready to attend the same.

Pl. do the needful ASAP.

Godrej Fridge — NON AVAILABILITY OF THERMOSTAT COVER FOR GOLD GOLD MODEL

I am having one Godrej frigirator model Gold gold 300 litre for the past 6 years. when i opened the door the light in is not working .Evn though the bulb is in good condition the light is off . Godrej Fridge — No Proper Services, Payment taken well Before(16 Day Completed and Still no Action)

We have a Godrej Fridge, where the compressor went bad. We have resisted complaint @ [protected]. Complaint Number:569774 on 12/05/2011 (Bill Number: 3272) . A Amount of Rs 3700 was collected for replacing Compressor and for new stabilizer. Even after 15 Days and several call to Service Center and to Technician (G Satish) and his Manager (Prabhakar) , there haven't turn up. I am very much disappointed with the Service of Godrej. I was even planning to buy 2 AC for my living room, but after seeing the Services i am hasting to continue with ANY Godrej Product. Please take immediate action.

Godrej Fridge — Very poor services

I am Anisha Gupta, R/o Delhi, had called Mr. Santosh (cell no.- [protected]; an authorised person the Company) for change of Drain Box of my refrigerator. My call no. is 154029 and had paid Rs. 200 for it to him in advance. I got a confirmation msg of above said payment form the company on 7 May 2011. But no action was taken. So, I again called the him for the same on 20 may 2011. My call no. is 171466 and CNS is 683. But still in vain. Now I am trying to contact him for last few days but he is rejecting the call deliberately again and again. Such kind of misbehaviour is being done by the company's authorized persons. So I am filing a complain for it hoping for the right action to be taken by the company. If still nothing is done in this regard I will be forced to move to the consumer court.

Godrej Fridge — Gift items not delivered

I purchased a Godrej refrigerator on 2nd Jan,2011 at Valasaravakkam Sathya Agencies. They said they would gift a Bombay dying Blanket and a Hot box as free. They didnt deliver those offer items when they delivered the Fridge to my home. When we called them, the response was very poor. They have also written at the back of the bill that the offer items will be delivered soon. Till now we have not received it. When we call the Customer care people, they refuse to answer us properly. Even we got the Manager's mobile no and checked with him. He told us to come to the shop to collect the gift. But when we went there we understood that he called us for striking out the things what he has wrote at the back of the bill or to take away the bill from us. Then he harshly said we will not deliver any offer/ gift items what we have committed. If they dont provide us what they assure, why the hell they make the commitment with us. Never and ever buy anything in that shop and pass this message to your near and dear ones. Let's stop them and there should not be anymore affected people like me because of their poor customer service.

I am struggling for availing service after paying service charges to Godrej service center, find below complete history of issue

1. Booked complaint (N[protected] with Godrej call center no- [protected] on 17th April’2014
2. Godrej technician (Vedirad, [protected]) visited on same day in late evening and inspect the fridge and suggested to replace Gas filter and gas for which verbally he has given estimate of approx. 1750/-
3. He asked us to pay this amount in advance as per estimate but when I requested him that I will pay once to finish the job he asked me to call his boss Mr. Vijay ([protected]), when called 3-4 times he dint pick up. When technician Vedirad called he picked up immediately
4. When checked with Vijay he told you pay the service charges and tomorrow when you pay rest of amount as per estimate he will do the job
5. I paid Technician visit charges 375/- vide receipt no.095 dated 18th April’2014
6. I called again call center and Mr Tangaraj attended but he was not aware of advance amount process so he suggested me to call Bangalore Service executive Mr. Jai Prakash
7. Called Jayprakash so many time but he didn’t picked up
8. Next day i.e. on 19th when I called Vijay of Maria Refrigeration’s he refuse to send person for resolving the complaint without advance
9. Immediately I called Godrej Call center and Mr. Venketesh attended, on my request he connected me to Mr. Bala of call center and Bala suggested me to contact Bangalore service supervisor Mr. Mohan
10. I called Mohan but he also not supported and told you pay advance, I agree to pay advance but he told he will not able to provide service today he will send technician on Monday only i.e. on 21st April’14
11. Mean while I received SMS that my complain (N[protected] is closed with remark customer is not ready to pay estimated amount which is not at all correct
12. Again I called call center and spoken with Bala and re opened new complaint (N[protected])with old complaint no. (N[protected] reference in it

Now I am awaiting Godrej so called prompt service helplessly after paying the service charges to technician
