[Resolved]  Godrej / Microwave Oven — Replacing the Parts in Microwave Oven

I have been gifted with a Godrej Microwave Oven on 12-Dec-08 by my friends. Following are the details of the purchase and the product -

a) Place of Purchase - Reliance Hypermart Ltd.,
Shaikpet, Tolichowki, Hyderabad - 008
b) Model No - GMC 20E 08SSGX

We had experienced a small technical glitch on 19-Sep-09 and have immediately registered a complaint with Godrej Call Centre[protected]. Details of the compaint are -

a) Compaint Description - As we identified the plastic clamp which holds the Grill Heater got broken, due to spill over of the contents in Microwave Oven during the process of baking. Not sure the extent of the damage caused, we have called the call center and initmated immediately.
b) Complaint Number - 605130
c) Complaint Date - 19/9/2009

While we have registered the complaint and have waited for the able and effecient technicians from Godrej to approach us, we did not hear from anyone of them. Despite the numerous calls and interactions over phone with the call center executives and the service center in Hyd[protected], we have not been approached by them until November-09.

The technician who visited us in Nov-09, has informed us that the plastic part (clamp) is not available and cannot be replaced, but also as observed by him the lamp in Microwave Oven need to replaced. He has informed us that he would be coming back with the new lamp to replace the same, at the earliest. But as usual the technician who dissapeared, has never appeared / turned back with the new lamp, neither did we recieve any further updates.

After lot of futile attempts made to contact the call center and the authorities at Godrej Service Center in Hyd, we have registered a new complaint '630524' on 21-Dec-09. Despite this and the numerous calls from our end we did not recieve any reply from them. We have even approached one Mr. Santosh ([protected]), a Manager of one of the Service Center in Hyderabad, on 23-Dec-09. He has promised us to get our problem resolved in couple of days, but looks like the good days are yet to come for the technicians to pay us a visit.

I observe an absolute recklessness and lack of interest shown by the Godrej authorities to the customers.

Please note that during this whole process, myself and my family members have gone through lot of agony and emotional stress to get a viable solution for the problem. While I am still in agony, I have tried to passage my complaint with utmost care.

Hope this forum or media would provide some immediate help to us.
