[Resolved]  Google 10th Anniversary Awards Centre — lottery scam

I too have received this email, i suppose i get at least 2 of this type every month, if it was true i'd have long given up work & lived off of these mails i get !!

You did not earn the money and nothing in this world anything free, this way these cannot catch you.

I have recieve the same message!! withe exactly the same ref no. and file no.

is it true??

i have to send my personal information or not?? somebody tell me what to do please?

I hope that you will sent a good reply.But when I contacted it was told that they will be sending an email regarding this, but I haven't received that email till yet. i got same email.
but first message i got in the mobile.
which could be quite interesting...
the message is that i got a international mobile award from google.
so they asked me to confirm through phone call or through mail
then i done both.
i contacted them they said i have to send the personal details.
then i got two mails about the award winnin.
but i didnt pay them even 1 rupee.
iam waitin for that spammin mail.

I have also recd the same mail . Also they are asking me my personal details along with proof of identity .& i have to pay some money as well . Just tell me if they are paying me money 500000 GBP then why they dont deduct all the charges & pay remaining amount to me directly on my address . I think they are making fool by doing such things.

They are sending these spam mails expecting some fools to respond to it and pass on the details regarding themselves. They will follow up these and send you another mail that the funds are ready and to inform them the mode of transfer and will ask you pay a claim processing fee or courier charges fee of some $2500 or some figure like that and you will have to send them that. On receipt of this money they will send you a fake cheque or draft and when you produce it at the bank for encashment, banks will tell you that these are unreliable and I know of another fool who claimed otherwise and the bank told him that they will present the cheque or draft for clearance and to do that you will have to pay the Bank the clearance charges of another huge amount approximately 1% of the amount involved. In short you will lose around 2% of the amount involved initially and at the end, the cheque will be returned to you for lack of funds or the statement that this account is closed or some other reasons. So do not believe these scams and forget about getting quick rich without doing any work. Chums go and do some work and you will get the returns which you can really enjoy.
