[Resolved]  Great Eastern Electronics, Kolkata — Bad Service

I had purchased a washing machine ( Samsung) from this renowned dealer at kolkata. Its already 3 weeks from purchase but still they are unable to send someone from parent company for demonstration. As its a fully automatic machine we are not able to operate or use the same. Being such a big dealer they are still unable to service their customers.

I've purchased a Faber Chimney from Great Eastern Dalhousy branch on 15th April, 2014. I've made the full payment through my card. It was clearly specified in my invoice that the product will be delivered within 5-6 days. Now its 29th April and still its not delivered. I've called them up several times, and they give excuses like the coolie person is not good, product is returned as I haven't received it and so on. What can I do?

Please Call them and ask for support. I have a very good experience with them since 2006. Everything had been demonstrated properly on time as per my availability in home.
I've purchased a Godrej refrigerator. The day after purchasing they delivered the product. It was a old one. The cover was full of cockroaches. The power cord was cut by rat. The cord was in a dangerous state. There was scratch in the front side door. The paint of side wall was not finished properly. The main thing is that they provided a very old stock refrigerator.
I called them. They told that they will replace the same two days after, but they didn't. When called again, they told that only the power cord would be changed.

This is the service of Great Eastern. I'll never go for it and will take an important step against them if they don't replace the same.

This great eastern electronics is the worst dealer in kolkata. They sell specific company products only.
the do not give any offer if you want to buy a product of a company of your choise.
I have purchased a Microwave against cash payment from there shop at 30/B, Jessore Road, Kol-127. on 29.01.10. The delivery date was on 30.01.10. They are not yet making the delivery and making many excuses. aatleast 20 times we contacted over phone, everyone passing the ball to others . even the manager, Mr Om Prakash couldn't spear one minute to listen the complaint. Its obviously worst company.
Great Eastern Kankurgachi gives a good price but the worst service . Worst service is garanteed. On 1st April I paid for a Vidocon TV in exchage offer after several reminder they supplied the TV at home on 5th April afternoon and advised not to open the box andsaid same will be done by Vidocon company people.God knows when this Videocon company people will come. My advise evey one who reads this is not to buy any thing fom this lousy shop .

company displayed that one assured gift with every purchase but they didnt give me any kind of gift...
one sales person assure me that you will get a wrist watch with this buy they didnt give it..what is the reason behind this i dnt understand...they cheat with customer i think...one more worst thing i watched, they didnt pick up the phone...please look into the matter...

I'm going to buy a washing machine and also thought firstly about G.E.E, Behala. Seeing all these things Im confused. Can anyone suggest if not from G.E.E then from where service as well as cost would be better. Please suggest.
you can try khosla electronics at their various show room in kolkata. I can tell you about the showroom at Garia who has given me very good service whike purchasing washing machine, refrigerator .They are very prompt in delivery and quality.

please do not go to khosla eletronics, i have got a very bad experience. my sister bought a new microwave from there, when they brought it at home they found that it was a repaired one as the repairing tag was still there. they apoligized on this and gave a replacement. another incident when we bought a refregirator for my sister's marraige, within a year the door came out and we also came to know that the connecting wire was a duplicate one...

Shopped for Electronics @ Great Eastern, Kakurgachi twice. One in May this year- when I bought a television (Philips) and a washing machine (Fully Automatic- Onida) and then again recently on October 1 this year - when I bought a microwave (Onida), 2 geysers (Bajaj) and a Mixie (Philips). My experience has been horrible to say the least. They ask for full cash payment on purchase (which is not an unreasonable request) and then take their own sweet time to deliver. They never stick to the delivery schedule promised and take their own time to send company personnel over for the demos. This time they have gone one step further and sent only some of the stuff that was purchased and the onus is on the customer to check and ensure that all the consignment has been sent over. Their delivery people are rude and uncooperative and deliver late at night and insist on being tipped. The microwave I bought on October one got delivered on Oct 3 but remains unpacked and unused till date because the company rep has been given the wrong address and therefore has not reached my doorstep till date (afternoon of Oct 6) do give the demo.
Please read my post and give Great Eastern, Kakurgachi the widest possible berth in order to save yoursel[censored]nneccessary grief and heart-burn. I repeatedly told the sales-lady @ GEE, Kakurgachi that the appliances were for my 70 year old elderly mother and therefore stuff should be delivered at reasonable hours and not very late at night. However, all my pleas fell on deaf ears and today she sits waiting at home while GEE, Kakurgachi has made their money, closed the sale and switched off their mobile phones leaving me to coordinate with Onida service centre staff, while @ work out of my office in Gurgaon. It is harrowing to think that such poor service is possible in today's day and age!
Myself Atanu Tarafdar had purchased one Whirlpool 1-2-3 White Magic 650-S washing machine on 3rd NOV against full cash payment.. Ii was deliverd to me after 5 days asn the technician from the patent company visited my place after 3days for demonstration. After opening the box it was found that there was a big dent about 6-7inchies. I was advised not to use the machine and it would be replaced as soon as possible.Please be noted that, till today i.e 29NOV, no one either from great eastern or from whirlpoll has taken any initiative to deliver/replace the machine. I had to make several phone calls and visted great eastern store but there seems to be no one bothered reagrding any assistance. I'm fully disappointed with great eastern and Whirlpool.
My self Niladri Sekhar Ray, setp in Great Eastern Garia Branch on 12/12/2010 for purchase a Digital Camera. Seals Executives ware sale a Cannon @ 7300/- by forsed which is 1 year old and that set was a display Item. And sales executive assured me that if I want then they are change that set within 2 days. But when I requested them to change that set very next day they deducted near about 1000/- from my bill.
So I fill this company cheated me.

A bad experience...Today (6th jan 2011), i went to the great eastern garia branch to buy a fridge of samsung 280L double door in maroon color, which the manager (mr chatterjee) confirmed that they have fresh piece in stock and assured me that the display piece will not be sent to me by today evening and asked me to make the payments for the same. So on trusting his words i payed 9000rs in advance for the same and the balance 7300rs i told him that i will pay to the delivery person, and came back to narendrapur(my residence). In the evening when the fridge was delivered to my place i was horrified to see that it was the same displayed piece. On that when i called mr chatterjee, he bluntly answered me that they dont have any fresh piece in stock and i should keep this fridge only for 4-5 days or till he receives the new stock which he himself was not sure when the new stock will come or else i should return the fride and he will send someone to my place to give me back my advance payment. I dont undesstand how is it possible that in the morning new stock was available and he confirmed me that he will not send me the diplay piece and in the evening he had the guts t send me the display piece without any hesitation. Isnt this called as cheating the customer, because if i couldnt have make out that this is the display piece than he would have happily stayed silent with this matter. Moreover, the way he talked to me was as if i was an to call him and irritate him. Please i need to know is this how a customer should be treated and harrased. Can somebody please look into this matter as this is not a professional way to work, and also there are so many complaints i saw above, so is there anyone who is looking after all these complaints...please help...

Even we also faced the same trauma. today I purchased a Videocon Refrigerator which they promised will be delivered by friday evening. But thats not the matter. I had taken a Maharaja Jucier Mixer with a scheme with the said Refrigerator & as soon I reached home & opened the Juicer Mixer Box I found the Juicer Jar was totally broken. When I tried to call the company on all the given telephone nos. on their bill & other nos available on the Internet not less then 100 times but no one is picking up the phone. When for my good luck a lady picked up the phone, she passed the call to service centre. Then to the service centre when I told him the problem he forcibly asked me to come to the service centre which is not less the 14-15 km from my place. When I insisted that this is totally unused pcs & I just 1/2 Hr back had purchased the stuff then He again passed on the ball to the Great Eastern. & now again after trying more then 100 times, no is picking up the call. Now tomorrow being Election holiday, if I'll go to their showroom the day after tomorrow, I'm sure, they are not going to hear my plea by any means. Now what to do, I don't know?
I had a similiar kind of experience.I bought a 2 ton carrier split AC 2 years ago. Since it was not working and we are not getting any proper help from the carrier company I went to gret eastern, ballygunge branche to get some help, but they just refuse to give any help.They said it is only companies responsibility now.There language and attitude was just disghusting.

I have recently bought a 300 ltrs Haier refrigerator from Great Eastern beck bagan branch. I was extremely disappointed with their after sale service. Neither was the product delivered on time nor they have sent anyone for a demonstration and it has been a week since the product was actually handed over. Its a shame that with such a name they are such irresponsible.
I have bought a Samsung micro wave oven on 13.06.11 from Garia outlet, since now nobody came for a demo, nobody picks up the phone given on the bill. No after sale service, don't purchase anything from there.

Brought a Videocon microwave machine from the Syed Amir Ali Avenue Branch on 31 st August 2011 and till date that is 16th September they are yet to deliver the product. They have been payed in full but they just do not seem to bother.Their phone seems to be out of order and even after repeated calls they have failed to honour their part of the deal. Feel so helpless. Hope someone gives me the phone number of the owner so that I can call and thrash out matters. Yet their ads come out daily and consumers flock to the dealer not knowing what is in store for them.
