[Resolved] Hcl Laptop — Defect in Laptop
I had purchased the HCl laptop on the date 26 july 2007 from M/S Mark Computers Ltd., T-2357 2nd floor, Hardhayan singh road, Karol Bagh, Delhi.
To my surprise the quality of the laptop was such that it started creating problem after 2 months of purchase only i.e in the month of the october 2007. I contacted the dealer and to more surprise and dismay that he refused to entertain the problem and said that his job is only selling of the laptop he is not bothered with the servicing part of the laptop.
Now on contacting the HCL service centre in Noida (F-1, Sector 8, Noida) on 1st october 2007 when i took the laptop to them they did something on it and said that sir it is working fine now (the slip no. is 33523). But I never expected such a great qu ality of service from the HCL. On bringing back to my place I found that the problem is still there and they had not rectified at all. ( A clear case of fraud and cheating). Here on this visit Ms. Aparna told that their was the jumper problem in one lot and your laptop belongs to that lot. My question is that when the HCL is aware of the problem why didn't recall the product at first place as the customer responsive company.
Again on bringing the problem to their notice it was finally rectified on 4th october 2007. (slip no. 163).
So, far so good but the story didn't end here. Again after a period of 2 months i.e in the month of January 2008 the same problem again repeated and the Laptop was now submitted to the HCL service centre at the Noida.
Since, this was the clear case of manufacturing defect and the fraud I would like to demand the replacement of the defective laptop being sold to me along with the compensation for the mental harrasement and the lost of time and money because of this fault of HCL. Moreover, I want the action to be taken against the dealer for his non responsiveness as per the customer laws.
I request the appropriate authorities to look into the matter for the speedy resolution of the case.
