[Resolved] HDFC Bank Bank Credit Card — Illegal Charges against Purchase a product under 0% EMI and Processing Fee.
I have purchased a Bed from Evok on 05Jan 2013.
There was a scheme that 0% EMI for 6 months with 0% processing fee. I have confirmed it with Bank and EVOK as well. But still bank has charged 1895.68 + 227.48 (Service Tax) + 6.82 (Cess Tax) = 2129.98. Immediately I have called to HDFC Customer care (HDFC Bank CC Evok Purchase Ref No: [protected]) and ask for this extra charge. HDFC Customer Executive has said these charges will reversal in your next month bill.
I have called 3 times for the same issue. But still issue remains same; HDFC Bank has not reversed 2129.98 in this month bill (Mar 2013). They have been not reverse from my account. After 2 months HDFC Bank has said that this scheme is now not applicable. If so, why HDFC Bank keep us in dark for 2 months. And after 2 months said that scheme is not available I have to Pay this amount.
This is totally illegal. HDFC should have to aware the customer when heshe asked the information. After 2 months they cannot say like that you have to pay the amount, scheme is not available.
This amount is more so that HDFC Bank is doing so. I have purchased so many products from HDFC Bank card under the same scheme and every time bank has reversed my charges. But this time Amount is Big so they are behaving like this. It’s totally demoralizing and irresponsible behavior of HDFC.
I am totally frustrated with your this kind of behavior. I totally harass by you since last 2 months.
Please cancel my credit card, Anand Kumar Sinha ASAP. I do not want to use HDFC card and worst service.
And I am not going to pay single penny against your illegal charges.
If needed then I will go to Consumer Court also. I am going to hire an advocate regarding this illegal statements given by HDFC Bank.
