[Resolved]  H.D.F.C Bank — Undue Harressment on part of the collection team

I am attaching a corrospondence with the Bank which is self explanatory. Kindly go through it:

Dear Ms. Aparna,

I was quite pleased to have received your mail and was of the opinion that this matter has been sorted for good but I regret to note that yet again I have been roped in to this case for no fault of mine.

I have received a letter at my personal address once again in the name of Ms. Nitu Pandey, which seems to be a legal notice sent to this lady. May I know as to why this letter has been sent on my address. It has been made clear many a times to you that she does not stay here any more and any kind of help that was required by me was given to the bank in the past. Inspite of your assurance this is still happening. Why cant to understand a simple thing that this lady was a paying guest with us more than two years back and has nothing to do with either me or any member of my family.

If I continue to be harassed like this I will have no other option but to file a counter case against the bank and drag every person whose has made life miserable for me.
I have today spoken to Mr. Alex Stephan deputy manager at Kolkata branch who has assured me that this will not happen again. I trust this is the least time that we are talking on this subject failing which I will be compelled to initiate legal proceedings against the bank not only in the court of law but I would also go to consumer forum, human rights organizations and involve the media as well.

I am attaching herewith the earlier correspondence with you in this regard for your ready reference.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

Dear Sir,

I am forced to write this mail to you as me and my family has been harassed beyond limits regarding some outstanding of one Ms. Nitu pandey who was a paying guest in our house more than 1 1/2 years back. For your information let me give you the back ground of this case.

Ms. Nitu pandey was working with Taj Bengal, Kolkata and was staying with us as a paying guest at that time. Ms. Pandey left the job from Taj Bengal and also our house in bad taste in January 2007. After a couple of months phone calls started coming to my residence address from your department for some outstanding dues on account of Ms Pandey's some credit card.

It was explained to the people from your credit card department that Ms. Nitu Pandey has left our house in January 2007 and we have nothing to do with her. It has been shocking how the people of your department have been behaving with me and my family members. They has been using abusive and filthy language. I had lodged a complaint to your customer care unit on 13th of December when I spoke to Mr. Supretam Ganguly. I even went to the extent of providing the details of Ms. Nitu Pandey and whereabouts to the department as much as I know. After this for a couple of months the phone calls stopped from your department.

I have now received again phone calls from your department and I have also had a visit from some local person for the collection of this amount. I spoke to your customer care executive Mr. Dhruvojit Chetri on[protected] and have registered my complaint and again I spoke to Mr. Subadeep Mishra vide my complaint No. [protected]. I have once again tried to help by giving whatever whereabouts I had of that girl.

May I request you to kindly look into all this and ensure that me or my family members should not be harassed any more from any person of your department. I am giving the details of the girl to you, which are as follows.

Name - Ms. Nitu Pandey
Credit card No. [protected]

Please note that the address CL - 256, 2nd Floor, Salt Lake city, Kolkata - 91 is my address and is my own permanent house. The telephone No. 23210428 is also in my name and belongs to me. No further calls should be made to my residence number and nobody should visit my residence for collection of any money as Ms Pandey left our house where she was staying as a paying guest in January 2007 failing which, I will have no other option but to file a legal case against the bank and also approach the consumer forum besides providing the details of this case to all leading news channels and to the print media. I would expect a response from your side confirming above. Please let me know as soon as possible as I will have to get my legal team place to take up the matter in the court of law as a last resort.

Thanking you,

yours faithfully,
