[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Bank Credit Card — Harrasment by HDFC Bank

Dear Sir,

I have one credit card and uses the same pays the due amount regularly and it was issued to me when I was at Kolkata now on Sep 07 got transffered to Bangalore where my company opened salary account at HDFC Bank due to this transfer from Kolkata to Bangalore I missed 5 instalments of Credit card payment but this month for my daughter admission I took Rs-60000 from my company and deposited the same in HDFC Bank account but after i issued the check to my daughter school i came to know that Bank has hold my total money ie;Rs-85000. Again on 18th Mar 08 i came to know that Bank has taken this money.

Please help me how come the Bank can take this money from my account without informing me whereas I had call the Phonebanking & my branch.

Please help how to go ahead.

HDFC Credit Card — Harrasment by HDFC

Dear Sir,

I am totally at lost with HDFC credit card division, it started in the year 2006 june when i shifted my address, i had forwarded my new address to the customer care dept so that they can update the same, which never happened, i had tyo send letters through the collection agent so that he can change my address even then it was not done, i was making my payments thought, however i stopped my payment as the bank was not co operating, the ordeal started then, they started making calls to my family and using abusive language threatening them, i did continue making payments after 8 months they send a legal notice that i was not making my payment although i was making the same.I went to the bank asking for a final settlement which the manager readily agreed and i also made my first payment towards the settlement which was in the month of jan 09, however till now they have not send me a settlement paper, nor telling me how many installment i can pay to clear my dues of 33000, today a person from legal team calls me to say that they are going to take legal action as i am not making the payments .

Please advise me how to go ahead with this issue.

I was holding HDFC Credit Card from past around 4 years and has never been defaulter in any payments or any other thing. When I got transferred from my old location to new location I lost my Credit Card. I report this to Customer Care and they issued me a new Credit Card and told me that they will deliver me. But When I told that I have shifted to new location they asked me for address change.

Its been around 1 year that I have given some 3-4 applications and visited Bank Branches 5-6 times and mailed the customer care more than 10 times but till now I havent received my Card.

Infact I was doing Minimum payment for the card through netbanking but now i cannot change or pay more because i dont have PIN or Card to register my new card. My most of the payment going into interests charged by Credit Card.

After doing so many compaints and requests they are not doing anything and trying to get me into misery all the time by giving some or the other excuses.

I will ensure that my misery spreads and people will restrict themselves to use this anymore.

I have a complaint from your department and that is mr. rakesh who is working in rajori garden call to me for the payment but on that I have some complaint and that is rs. 7200 twice debited in my account which amount is not used by me that person told me that give Min payment for rs. 2000/- and fill that form that he send to me I gave him the cheque of rs. 2000 after two days the person call me and told me that ur cheques has bounced and he said some rough words that I will not explain you after that I gave him cash after I am going to bank and take the statement the bank told me and statement shoe me that the cheques is not present in my bank the person doing fraud with me after one month again I receive a call from ur department and he told same word but finally my probel is not solved and u r send me legal notice. Gove me response for this mail either I am going to consumer court because I have all the proof for cash payment payment through cheque and bank statement where they shoe me that cheque is not present in my account

However I made the payment when I recived the SMS .& dulicate statement on request from LDH office.

I also never requested for Auto Debit to My HDFC Account.

dear sir,

Credit Card — harrasement by collection department

Sir the people from your various collection agencies keep calling throughout the day even when the due date is far away. Not only this they even use threatining language and keep on insulting me. I am not interested in keeping your credit card and you are requested to take back your card. kindly teach your hired gundas to behave properly with the customers of your bank. I have four bank accounts of my family and few fixed deposits which also i am going to close. thanx for giving us this treatment.

HDFC Bank Credit Card — Harrasement from credit card any they have been blocked my pesonal account

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I have been holding HDFC credit card for more than a year and 3 months and have been paying the minimum payment on time inspite of getting the credit card statement from the bank. However, they have blocked my saving Account to get their money recovered without intimating me about the same.

Do you take the complaints seriously as I have been seeing lots of complaint against them but no result posted.

Now, I am in urgent need of money and not getting any help from the Bank.

I have received a call from collection executive from HDFC bank Phone No[protected] at 10.03 am and he has talked in a very foul language and also insulting words for HDFC Credit Card Number-[protected] outstanding. Does the collection executive have right to use foul language against any Indian Citizen??

I have never expected such treatment from a established & professional bank like HDFC.

This has completely disappointed me and I need to think to continue my services with HDFC bank in Future.

I am holding my Salary Account(Number-[protected]), a personal loan, also some insurance policy with HDFC Bank.

HDFC Credit Card — Block account without any information

Dear Sir,

I am using HDFC BANK Credit card from last 4 years, i paid all the month minimum due amount last two not paid because i am out of city and promiss to representative that i will pay when i come to city. But they are not agree and they locked my hdfc bank salary account and they block all the money and they taken for the creditcard payment. without informing me they blocked my salary account and money. This is happened 2nd time When i called to the cust care people they are telling account and money not to be release. Plase enquire about it.

HDFC Credit Card — bank not giving any help

one of my friend name- Rahul Rao [protected] stolen my credit card, now he is not attending my call,
and also left the city. only i now that he is in delhi and he have my credit card. when i told this matter to bank,
they told that they r not going to help me. and they want regular payment, and they r harasting my parent at my home town.i m student and now at pune.

HDFC Bank Credit Card (Platinum) — In correct DOB in records

I am holding a HDFC Bank Credit Card (Platinum) for many years but recently it was brought to my notice by the Bank that my DOB is not correct in their records and they cannot take my queries on phone banking.

When I asked the Bank how can by DOC be incorrect in their records, they told me that I have not submitted and DOB proof at the time of application and I should now submit a ID proof to get it corrected. (Id proof has DOB on them)

My basic questions to the Bank are:
1) How can my DOB be incorrect in their record? Is it my fault in filling the form?
2) At the time of issue of the card I did submit an ID proof. Why can’t bank retrieve those docs and fix my DOB.

I am ok to re-submit the docs but someone from bank should contact me and explain me what went wrong and answer my queries.

In this competitive environment bank should realize that this is not the only bank that issues credit cards.
I am really getting disappointed by HDFC to a limit that this may lead to end of very long relationship with them.

HDFC Bank Credit Card — HDFC Bank Credit Card Complaints

I had purchased some product in the month of 2008(do not remember the month) for around 850/-. As i had changed my address I had also placed a request for the change of address before the purchase. As i had not received the statement the payment was made by week delay, for which i had called up the customer care officer and told him the reason to waive of the money and made the payment. Later on also i was not receiving the statments to my address.

In december one person has called for hdfc credit card(sales) through him again i placed a change of communication address. My card got expired inthe Jan/Feb 2009, for which i didnt received the replacement card as well.

Today i got a call from Customer care of HDFC bank of Indira Nagar branch of Bangalore a female for the payment of around 6500/-(not sure what for) and she claims that it is for the late payment of my last purchase(850/-) and subsequent interest charges. She was very rude and telling that they will proceed legally against me, etc.

How can the bank charge some interest like this after confirming to the customer. and now they are telling that I have not made a call to them at all regarding this issue. Please assist in resolving this
My name is Saurabh Singh and I have been using HDFC bank Platimun Card since last 10 months. Since the activation of the card, I have been utilizing the card very actively and meticulously. I have never missed any single payment on my card since activation of the same till 7th September 2009. Till the month of June'09, I was in the transactor bucket (paying full on due date) and for the next three months I was paying 60-70% of the due amount and revolving the rest to the next month.

In the credit card companies parlance, transactors are the best grade customers following revolvers and then they have 5 or 6 default cycles and number may vary with the banks. Once a person goes to default buckets (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), collection department of the credit card company start tracking that account incessantly and they strat making agreesive phone calls. Behavior of the caller agent depends on the cycle bucket you are in and your credit profile in the past along with amount due.

On last friday (16 oct 2009) I got a call from collection regarding my due payments. I told them that I will pay my whole due amount (around Rs. 68000) on 1st November 2009. On this the agent told me to pay only 2700 (minimum amount due) to avoid any late payment fee on which I told him that I will pay the late payment fee on 1 November 2009. Consedering the fact that he was very adamant to his demand I told him that I will pay the minimum amount due on coming thurseday (22 oct 2009). Irrespective of the fact that I have mentioned to the collection agent that I will pay the required amount on thurseday, I have been getting collection calls. I got a call on monday (19 oct 2009) about the payment and told him that I will pay on thurseday and requested him to stop chasing me on my cell phone. On that he asked me to talk to customer care and once collection team has mail from the customer care about stopping collection calls then only they can stop bugging me. On that note I talked to customer care on Tuesday (20 oct 2009) and told the person the ongoing story and that person promised him that I will not receive any collection call till 1 November 2009. The customer care person also gave me liberty to pay the whole amount on 1 November (including late payment fee).

Today monring (22 oct 2009) again, I got a call from collection team. Details of the person is-

He told me that he has got a mail from customer care saying that I have told to customer care that "I WILL NOT MAKE PAYMENT". I was shocked and surprised at the same time. He was talking very rudely to me. I am quoting few of his remarks -
1. "Main sirf itna jaanta hoon ki tune KARZA liya hai humse aur 24 ghante me wapas kar"
2. Agar 24 ghante mein nahin diya to tera BAAP dega (In India this is equivalent to scolding someone)
3. Customer care has got no say in the collection calls and harassement by those calls, they are there only to attract customers at any cost

These are the remarks used by one of the Manager to a customer whose credit profile has been outstanding so far and who has missed just one payment. He doesn't even know that its not Karza he is giving but utilizing his money to make money from us and its his bread and butter.
