[Resolved]  Highland Holiday Homes — fake gift voucher

they have called me that i've been selected for a gift voucher worth 7000/- i went to collect it at the venue(I.H.R.S.A.) Raheja arcade unit no-28, ground floor, 80 feet road koramangla 7th block, bangalore-34,It all began with a smooth talking salesman writing a lot on bits of paper creating flowcharts and lists and sweeping them away to create more on new pieces of paper. We were explained how Bajaj has plenty of ventures like Electricals, motors and god knows what else, and now there is a new one - Highland Holidays. This of course was total bull , as none of their papers had anything to do with Bajaj beyond its being the surname of one of its founders.i took a membership of 1 yr worth 6500/-.now when i try to redeem the gift voucher which was supposed to b free, they are asking me 1236/- for it. If the free gift voucher is like this then i can think of the membership promises. what can i do to get my 6500/- back??

I also got a call from them today. They have setup an office at Nirmal Lifestyle Mulund (2nd Floor, Opp Fab India). They are calling themselves as Bajaj Highland Vacation Club.
Thank god that i read these comments...i was excited to know the offer but i am surely not going... if i ever get call again from them im surely going to tel them how big cheaters they are...

Yes Deepika. its a total fake and misleading communication from this organisation. Today I also recd a call from this organisation regarding free voucher and asked me to come to their premises at Mulund, Mumbai to collect the same alongwith spouse. But as I am aware of such this i simply denied to that lady that i don't want your scheme, then that lady used abusive words and picked down the phone.
I think there should be a police complaint against such illegal company and such fraud directors should get arrested at the earliest.
I totally agree that these people are cheaters... We shouldn't allow these kinds of people to fool us... We have also done the same mistake & now we are suffering.. Pls. let us also know how we can get our money back.
Guys i bought the package of 46000 rs in 2008. Now we are planning to go to Jaipur.So 2 days ago i called HHH.The lady was telling me this is a pick season u wont find a single room in their prescribed hotels.

2) And they are also telling to pay 1500 per day what sort of package is this ??????again it is non refundable.Pls we all have a discussion about how to get our money back.Police complaint wont be enough.

I am lucky enough to escape from these fraud people. I got a call on Sunday, asking me to collect a free voucher from there office. I repeatedly asked them do i need to make a payment or registration fees to get the free voucher. They told me that i need not have to pay a single penny. I visited their office in Nirmal Lifestyle, Mulund, Mumbai. A gal came and started drawing all sorts of diagrams, making charts and doing calculations. She informed me about the various packages. First she informed me about a Rs.50000 package and asked me to enroll for it. As i wasn't interested for the same, she started explaining about Rs.25000 package. Once, she was done with it, she was literally forcing me to take this package. I asked her for a day's time, but she said you will need to take the package on that day itself as they can't offer the same package for another day. I wasn't interested at all and I told her that I will be happy with the free voucher as am not prepared to shell out Rs.25000 on one go.

She told me that she will bring the voucher and then came back and started explaining about another package which was of Rs.11000 and was literally forcing to take it. As i was least interested in taking it, she made faces and at the end gave me the free voucher. Today when i searched for Highland Homes, i happy to find these complaints been registered. We will need to take a strict action against these people.

Inspite of everybody registering their complaints in the Consumer Complaints website, I am surprised that there is no action take till date against these people. When i visited their office, there were many people waiting to be duped by these fraud people. I would appreciate if the concerned government authorities could take action against these guys. I hope this website is not a fraud, where only the complaints are been registered but no action is taken against it.

Yesterday I received call from one lady called Neha to come and have tea & snacks and collect the free gift worth Rs 7000/- at 12th Avenue hotel, 12th Main, Indiranagar, Bangalore. She told they were giving these gifts to the 25 randomly selected mobile nos they collected from the service providers. Though I sensed fishy about this, I was curious to know what is in the offing. When they offered the 28000 package we asked lot of questions. The guy was saying what I asked are very Good Questions and called some sophisticated guy and told he is his Sr Manager. He convinced us our doubts are valid but generally they make sure such things wont happen. The sales guy was confusing us with joint venrure details between the DAE and Highland etc. Even he is claiming Mahindra Holidays is part of DAE etc. He also told we could visit all the country clubs in Bangalore whenever we would like to. He also offered me the trial package of Rs 17000. He showed us the details of the guy who had just booked for Rs 16000 package.
I asked them we need some time to think about browse through about the co. Then they offered we can browse thourh their mobile and gave us the mobile with DAE website. Then I tried to open the Google website. But immediately one call came to that ph, so I returned the ph back to them. Later we realised that somebody in their team deliberately called on that ph to avoid us browsing throgh Google. We also asked him how many ppl generally they offer daily. He told this is one time offer to the selected 25 ppl on the 25th Anniversary of DAE (Dial and Exchange). Later we asked him to give us some time so that we could go out, think among ourselves and come back.They said Ok. Like that we went couple of times out and came back. When we asked in the reception of the hotel for how long these ppl are here, the guy replied they dont talk and tell these things in the receiption. But he told they are here for 3 months. So our suspicion grew bigger and went in and told them that their offer is fantastic but we need at least one day time to think about it. They didnt accept this. We also told him that if they change their mind in future to call us again so that we would accept the offer. At last he was ordering one of his guys to register a free gift for us. We took the gift and walked out. They almost made us to accept the deal. Fortunately we didnt fall in the trap. Now today when I am browsing, I am totally shocked to know all these sufferings. We are now planning to put big posters near that hotel to make the people aware of this fraud.
Hi My name is ananda, Yesterday I have paid my amount through my credit card after all seeing all the complaints, I want it make it stop, but when I called to the bank they said they have already been debited it is not more than 24 hours and they said that to check with the Merchant side to cancel the transaction, if they don't do it is there any way that I can cancel my transactions through the bank. Please advise any one to me, only one day has passed till now and they have not posted my application yet.
next day I have called many times to cancel the membership with in the period of 36 hours where I did called to Credit card department even they said once you swipe and signed to the check list and that is your risk and you have to deal with merchandise afterthat I have called to the executive of highland and the word cancelation make them bother they were not picking my calls, Angrely I went to their office and requested them like anything to cancel the membership and that bluddy lady is telling that 25% Administration chagres where as I am not member yet, If you need to USE any F word is the first company where I ever seen like this, Some one need take an action, Please advise any one can we put into to TV9 media to that they can spread the news...Bluddy of their policy and no body can't stop them...They are the biggest chitter I have found...

Membership sold based on false information
We received a call from Highland Holiday Homes Pvt. Ltd. stating that we had won a gift voucher and would have to attend their company presentation to avail it. On visiting them, they presented their membership scheme for a holiday timeshare system with lot of other benefits. We found the membership scheme quite beneficial based on their infomation and opted for a 5 years, 7days per year membership, costing Rs. 35, 000/- ( Rs. Thirty Five Thousand Only). We later came to know that all the information provided was false and the company had cheated us into buying the membershup. The following false information was given in the presentation.

1) We had purchased the membership on a 12 months EMI plan, using HDFC Gold credit card. The sales person claimed that the company has a tie-up with HDFC and the payment would be converted EMIs, and the interest, service charges and service tax would be borne by Highland Holiday Homes. On enquiring with HDFC, we were informed that there is no such scheme available and they have no tie up with Highland Holiday Homes.
As refer to above transaction details on I cancelled the transaction immediately with the help of bank.
On 14/03/10 I had done the transation & on 15/03/10 I did complent to HDFC bank CC devision about that I have been cheated & I want to cancel the transaction immediately. & on sending charge dispute form whole transaction has got cancelled. Important thing is that immediately you need to cancel it before credit card swiped amoumt gets transfered to there account.

I did enroll for their membership and want to cancel it. I talked to icici bank and they said i would have to go in dispute ? Is there any point talking to these guys or should i enter a dispute with the bank against Highland. I am from Pune and would appreciate if anybody would help me out with this matter or ina similar case like me?
As I know nothing can't be done and dispute request can't be done because you have signed to the check slip of the transactions, Do one thing go to police station and explain everything what ever had happened and they will help you out. Because in the slip it self they have mentioned that no refund. Pls speak to local police station that they have given false statement.
I request all people at mumbai to give me contact details who all are cheated, I am going to file a police Complaint & one copy will be submitting to home ministry. please mail me I will get in touch with U.

I feel immense happiness in talking to you through this letter. The purpose of this is based on our belief that good service providers are created out of valuable percentage. We for the first time expeivencred highland service at our very first trip to lonavala, commend on 1st May 2009. The experience was exiting and appreciatable. Right from reception to room service and every one out there were at their besting extending service. We felt at home with their company.
We look forward towards exactly good service extended to us at our next visit too at different destinations. Congratulations on team’s commendable performance and keep up the best work.
We had been to Lonavala & Kodaikanal during the month of April 2008. We stayed in there place for two days each. The stay had been excellent and the treatment give to us in the hotel were well above our expectations.

We thank M/s. Highland Holidays Homes for their whole hearted hospitality shown and expect the same throughout.

I would also like to bring to your notice that I have not received the following as per your charter membership package.

1) Brochure and literature on latest happenings.
2) Charter membership card with accompanying benefits.

Please also find enclosed a reference list of 10 prospective customers.

Do keep in touch and let me know the fate of these references along with the earlier ones

Even I received same phone call saying that we offer u 3 day/ 3 nights free stay. I denied and didnt turned to them. So what I want to say that Before accepting such an exciting offer please search on the net, by typing the company's name u will get entire info. I did the same thing and later denied them...
