[Resolved]  Hindustan Unilever - PureIT Water Purifier — Wrost Customer Service Level

We have logged complaint with Hindustan Unilver three months back to get the battery replacement for their Pureit water purifier product. There is no response as of now. We have been calling their tollfree number, customer care number & even their Anna Nagar East Division Branch near K4 police station but in vain. We have been following with their Anna Nagar Manager Mr.Prabhu - Contact Number [protected] for the past one week. He is also not taking any initiative. When we try to reach him someone picking up the mobile & saying he is busy in meetings & asking us to call later. This is happening for the past one week. HENCE PLEASE KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.

i have called your helpline so many times but no reply (at least 10 times)on[protected] for battery replacement after that i massaged and replaced on[protected] but by my purifier not working perfectly after replacement of battery purifier are leaking and i called delivery boy 5-6 times on[protected] he says this is wrong number after that he switched off his mobile his mobile number is [protected]and he is from JALARAM AGENCY(Pureit) CHEMBUR MUMBAI 400071 i live in 147/03 nch colony kanjurmarg(w) mumbai-78
Yes. Absolutely their service is very bad. Started to prepare boiling water daily for my family. No tension. Safe.

pureit people are the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE i have ever come across. i bought it on 12th june 2009. aftr much struggle of 15days we got its battery changed in september and now again i hav been calling them to change its battery as its life has finished but to no avail. their is no response from them. nobody is turning up. i would like to tell pureit people that WE ARE NOT BEGGERS HERE CALLING THEM FOR HELP BUT ITS THEIR DUTY AND SO WE ARE REMINDING THEM. their false promises can lead their consumers to severe health problems.
We purchased water purifier a month ago and it was told that service was free till the warranty period. The unpurified dust particles float on the top of the purifier when I asked for the engineer support to rectify the engineer attended and he cleared, when we asked the reason he told it was not seriously and its was minor and would repeat in future.

After 2 days the same problem persist, but this time the engineer took 3 weeks to attend the complaint. Post inspection the engineer told we need to use Cauvery river water instead of bore/ mineral ground water. If I had to use Cauvery river water then why will go buy this plastic box which is not even worth for 20/- Rs... These companies will fall to our legs when we have to buy and now we raise log for servicing they dont care for us... They are true liars and shameless people on earth... fit for things...

Hindustan Unilever — No response after may complaints at customer care

This is complaint against Hindustan Unilever Pure-It Product. I need its germ kill kit. I have registered first call on 27th march. They said it will be delivered in two working days. Nobody came for the delivery.
So I again registered complaint. Again same thing was told. But still no one came for the delivery.

I, Balbir Singh R/o Chandigarh has ordered for a GKB kit 1 month ago . I have call your custercare more than 4 times. they always assured that it will be provided with in 48 hours but everything is fake. I am facing a big problem because of non-provision of GKB kit. Without this the Pureit is of no use. My relavites also facing this problem.
Thats why I have been fed up with your customer care.and if you can't provide it timely then I think your sale will definately affected. So I just request u again to provide it as early as possible.

Be Cautious while taking pure-it.

I took pure-it in the month of september-2009. Daily a maximum of 3 liters i am using. And i have not used it for 2 months as i am out of city. The battery indicator is completely white. Even i am using it daily from 3 months the battery kit is completely white, the same is observed with my friends also. My friends are using the same from 1.5 years and their battery kit is still not become red. Usually the indicator will become red slowly after using it. Once it become 80% red we should ready to purchase. My Battery kit is white always and it never shown at least 20% red. But suddenly my battery kit become red completely in one day.
I had a talk with customer care regarding this. The guy replied politely that it is because of manufacturing defect, don’t worry our executive will come and change it and you need not worry to pay for it.
But the game started now. Executive telling that we are not concern about manufacturing defect, u need to purchase it. He is not interested to listen the situation also. And his senior also speaking similar to that.
I again called to pure-it customer care, they are also started talking that you have to purchase that as it is being used by you from 8 months. But they are not listening that my battery kit expires suddenly. The customer care executive transferred my call to their senior official he said that no problem we will solve it. But no action. I am calling daily to pure-it but no one is coming and changing the kit every time i call to pure-it they only replies that since it become red you have to Purchase it.

Few of the Germ Kill Battery kits have manufacturing defects, but pure-it executives & customer care officials respond differently for this situation.
Yes, they are really pathetic and the company requires to sell soap and safety pins as before. I had bought a water filter in March. In April starting it fell down and the lowest transparent portion was damaged. I lodged a complain and after 3 days got a SMS "your problem is solved", whence nobody had turned. Again I lodged a complain when they told I have to pay Rs 530/- for changing the portion. I agreed. Then over 2 days I received 3-4 calls asking me the address and said engineer would come. But all in Vain. My Purifier Serial No. is RPB[protected]. It is really heartbreaking to see a company like Hindustan Lever is commiting to cheating.
i fully agree to all this. i logged a replacement for a battery kit last wednesday and they pro-actively said it will be delivered within 24 hrs. so i had to take a days leave from office to receive the kit as both o[censored]s are working, but no one turned up. i called up again and they said it will be delivered positively tomorrow and i again took a day off but all in vain. no one turned up yet. i dont know what to do next...
Yes this is true. I have called their toll free number many times. The complaint for battery change was made by me a week ago, but no response till date. I called their distributor in J.P.Nagar, Jalandhar who after three days of delay gave me a number of the representative Mr.Balwinder who is looking after my area. On calling him he said he will be coming today to change the battery. I asked if he knew my complaint number. I was suprised to know that he already knew about the complaint. We don't expect this kind of customer service from the No.1 FMCG company in India.

If they cannot provide customer support, I think they should stop selling the product. I think there should be a law when a company does not give after sales service, there should be a ban on further selling of the product.

The service for Pure-it water purifier is the worst.
If people are sensible, they should avoid buying this product. The company may be a big one, but the service for the purifier is horrible.
The consumer forum should bring an end to this problem. There is no proper response i have complaint regards change of Pureit Battery till now there is no response or the executive as not visited for servicing.
please change our Hindustan unilever pureit battery as early as possible.
or We may go for other Water Purifier whose service is best in the market.

i am very much unhappy with the service provided by pureit my complaint no is C[protected] and HLL has supplied a defective which is continously leaking battery the service personnel told to replace the same very next day .But till date no body attended the complaint.the customer care people also confirmed that it will be attended immediately,

I ordered for replacing the germ kill battery kit of pure it water purifier on 22.06.2010 to the customer care toll free No.They ensured me that the battery kit will be replaced within 72 hours. They also contact me twice on my cell asking my address but nobody came to my home to replace the germ kill battery kit. So I advise all Indian family not to buy this product.
I purchased PURE IT, on the 29th of June 2010. Today is the 1st of July 2010, I have called the customer care almost 10 times till end of today. I only get sweet responses saying they will personally take it up and stuff like that. But I have not received a single call from their technician asking me for the feasible time to visit my place.

THEY HAVE A VERY BAD SERVICE. THERE SERVICE IS USELESS. I CAN'T COMMENT ON ITS FUNCTION AS I HAVE NOT USED IT YET.
