[Resolved]  Honda/ Activa — Harassment by email

i had purchased the activa on 17th july 2008 from the chandigarh dealaer, PLATINUM HONDA based in chandigarh and mohali by paying the full payment in cash to its showroom in mohali. But after 1 day, we began recieving calls from the head dealer enquiring about the mode and the amount of payment. We cleared that we had made the full payment including the insurance n have the required documents.
Then on the evening of 22nd july, 5 men, including the owner of Platinum honda come to our home n ask for my mother who had gone to the market on the activa. After a few minutes, they tracked her down in the nearby market n FORCIBLY SNATCH the keys from her, n take away the scooter ordering that if she wants the scooter back, come to our showroom in chandigarh.
They left her stranded in the market n didin’t even gave her time to take out her belongings from the scooter. Finally when we reached their showroom they said that your cheque had bounced n laid the blaim on us that we’d issued a fake cheque. We said that we had never issued a cheque, instead the payment done was in full cash n showed them the sale letter which had been issued by some Mr. sunil from mohali. When we asked to produce him, they said that he’s out of town n can’t be contacted. seeing no way out, we were forced to lodge a FIR in the police station n now, will have to pursue a legal battle against these dealers. My mother will be compelled to use the auto to reach her workplace. More so, the dealer didn’t even return our belongings, refusing bluntly that there was nothing in the scooter.
IS THIS HONDA'S DEALERSHIP ??
workers in the mohali branch said that sunil has run away n duped many customers in and around the area.
Such harrasment to the customer is the last thing anyone would expect from an international company of this reputation. Personally speaking, i've lost every ounce of respect i had for your company. i hope strict action will be taken by the authorities concerned against these fraudulent dealers as soon as possible, failing which, i assure you that i'll knock the doors of the consumer court and publish my story in the print media. HONDAs reputation is at stake. expecting for an immediate action.

Actually you should not have paid the money to unauthorised persons without proper company bills and documents. I was thinking of buying of Honda Activa recently in chandigarh. now i have to be more careful while buying.
I have purchased A Honda Activa Scooter 4 Months back from a authorised dealer in vasai road, Ambadi road.At the time of purchase I was given to understand by one of the executive (Mr Nitish Shrivastav) tat the time of first service will be in 30 days of purchase or after 1000 kms. But when i took my vehicle for servicing i was told by Mr Ashok Gupta that my first service has been expired.When i Asked mr Nitish he told me that the rules has been changed & it is also metioned in the mannual book.My mistake in this case was that, i only trusted Mr Nitish Shrivastav's words and had never opened the mannual book.I know that there is hardly any charges for servicing of a scooter, but i really felt very bad bcoz the executive did not keep up with his words, , , , Just Wanted to share this, , , , Thanks..
this is old practice of owner of this deslership karan gilhota they sre cheap people do any thing for money
Hey I had also a bad experience with Krishna dealer in Industrial Area phase-1
My mothere booked a grey colour activa with them on 14 and they told her that it will be delivered on
18 .Today on 17 we received a call, first the lady receptionist told us to purchase activa today only and that is whatever colour they have though we booked grey color only. THen I told that we dont purchase iron things on saturday and we can purchase it on commited date i, e 18. THen she told me to get the full
payment today and take kinetic tomorrow.I said how can I make payment in advance, she said If i make full payment today in advance then only she can keep grey color piece for tomorrow otherwise not.
I asked her then what is the purpose of taking 1000 Rs if she cant retain it. THen I said ok, then she said
that we will have to purchase all accessories from them then I said I dont want to get accessories
then she said we dont have a option. I was totally confused by what this lady was saying, she was dealing as I a govt office. God save me from them, Then I wen to there shop and gave a application to cancel my booking, which she told that I will get check after 3 days, THis is the height, THis agency doesnt accept payment in check but when it comes to refund, then they will do so in check and i.e after 3 days. this is one of worst consumer experience in a city like chandigarh
Dear Sir,

I have purchased activa honda from Sector 35, Chandigarh. They issued me a tempoary number. For that temporary number they charged Rs. 100/- from me but the actual govt. charges are Rs. 30/-. They are charging 70/- Rs. extra from me and all the customers. When I asked them whey they are charing Rs. 70/- extra they replied that they are charging that money for envelope & Sticker. I have also printing press. The sticker and envelopes cost's is Rs. 3-4 only maximum. They issued no bill or receipt Rs. 70/- which they taken extra. They are also stealing VAT Rs. 70/- & income tax.

PLS CONTACT A PERSON WHICH IS BALD WHO IS OWNER OF THAT . PLS COOPERATE WITH HIM HIS MIND WAS CONFUSED EVERY TIME. HE WAS A SPECIALIST IN CHEAT BY HIS EMPLOYEES. EVEN AFTER THAT HE WAS GONE IN SAME WAY.
