This is in regards to the problems I am facing in my new bike CB UNICORN DAZLLER.
Vehicle NO : KA-05, HL, 5527
Regret to inform you that I never enjoyed this bikes quality as this comes with loads of problem and I should call this as first failure product from Honda india.
The problems I am facing in this bike are

1) Cold start
2) AIR BLOCK
3) Mileage of 30 KMPL
4) Wrong speedo meter reading
5) Vibrations after first service

Till now I have visited your showroom (Saphire Honda , JP nagar Bangalore) atleast 8 times reporting these problems and only problem that was resolved was cold start problem all other problem remains the same.

When I went first time to showroom saying cold start is having problem they told me to use KICKER during morning and do not use self, these guys don’t even have basic knowledge of this POOR-QUALITY Dazzler I was speechless after listening to them, no body here understands bikes problem and tries to resolve the problem and they don’t even accept the problems we report to them.

After lot of follow-ups with service manager in the show room they decided to do some analysis and called Honda as they could not find why the AIR is getting BLOCKED and Honda suggested them to replace the tank and its been more thatn 2 WEEKS and they have not yet replaced the same, when I called the show room regarding this they said “ we dont have the tank now and it takes 8 to 10 days “. Why the hell Honda is launching this bike when the parts are not yet ready? How can they good support to its product?
Mileage is another big BIG problem , company claims 60 for this bike and it gives only 30KMPL every time I report this problem the show room ppl say this problem will be resolved( not only this ofcoure they will resolve all the problems). Now even the first service is done and now they don’t have any answer and they are not even ready to look at this bike and find the root cause of the problem

Speedo meter is another example for Hondas POOR-quality, after completing 1000Kms it starts showing kms again from 1 it does not show 1001, I really wonder was there any testing done on this bike or it was just launched like that.

I was waiting for this bike to complete its first service , thinking all the problems will be resolved, to my surprise the vehicle engine started producing lot of noice and vibrations and it lost its pick up now the vehicles power is like 100CC bike and mileage is like a 220cc bike( mileage is even lesser than 220cc bike , my brother owns pulsar 220cc which gives a mileage of 35kmpl).

I had initially booked a bajaj –product as every body told that bajaj gives reliable product but I cancelled my booking after getting the dazzler launch news . and booked the same I am the first person to book this vehicle in Saphire Honda now I am regretting every day I take this vehicle on road.


I am writing this just to inform you that what is the quality of your product and the quality of service done at Honda show rooms and quality of the people you have.

I am going to report all these problems in all famous MORTOR BIKER’s SITES and suggest them strongly not to buy this POOR Quality product.
I will wait for another 1 week and if problems exist even after that the only option I have is to go to consumer court and fight for my rights…..

Honda — Stuck up of Engine within 6 months/1500KM

I am Mechanical Engineer working at GSECL,UKAI. I have purchased Honda Unicorn on 28.03.09 from Imperial Auto, Valsad (Gujarat) .Two nos of free services carried out at Company,s authorise service station.Now after 6 months period on 8.09.09 my bike stopped on road( Appr.1500KM) and I have to take it to nearest service station at Vyara in AMI MOTORS, They have attended the problem at the cost of Rs.1698.The dealer M/s Imperial Auto have informed to reimbursed the cost of repairing before repairing of my Bike.Now they are neither responding nor refunding the repairing cost.Also their attitude with customer is rude.
It is requested to arrange to give necessary instruction for refund of repairing charge of Rs.1698.

I am also a Dazzler owner, i think your complaints are from your foolishness and rough riding conditions. My Dazzler gives me mileage of 50+ km/liter and also is good on starting in rainy season here in Kerala. I did not face any vibrations from my bike till it reaches 100 km/hour speed. Then speedometer, hey speedometer is not incorrect, but you are incorrect, you click the select button on the right side of the speedometer then you can see total kilometers, now you seeing the kilometer assigned for trip. Don't publish this type of matters to a site before asking about it to authorized servicer. Be proud to own a Dazzler for the first time. Its a good bike with good pickup and power. Enjoy its smoothness and power and Honda's own mono-shock suspension.
pleaes read everything first before you make any comment your bike may be giving good mileage it does not mean that everyone is getting good mileage.

how do you know that i am not riding it good? have you seen it? even the honda engineers have linked the mileage problem to problem in the tank

you seen to be a guy from honda and not a actuall user,

i am in touch with one of the manager from honda and they are going to replace the tank in this week and solve all the problem in the bike.

i too own a dazzler, i am from chennai,
i agree that honda service is too bad . i recently had my first service done and my total bike performance is lost.i have a dent in ma tank and when i showed that to the showroom they suggested for a tank replacement. when i went to place an order for my new tank they said that"tank will take 20 days to come" .
i went around whole chennai asking for the tank but non of the dealers have it...
the is really bad .honda is loosing its reputation..

Even I had the problem of LESS PICKUP & MILEAGE. I visited the service center in Domlur(Bangl'r) they advised a CARBURETOR cleanup and did the same. Now both PICKUP & MILEAGE have improved. If your CARBURETOR hasnt been cleaned after buying getit done. This is done only if necessary and not in every sevice.

Hi i purchase my dazzler in 1st sep-10, Since i was the owner o[censored]ncorn previously i can tell that dazzler will never meet the quality of performance and smoothness with unicorn, Just dont fall for the look & initial pickup.
My new dazzler bike is giving mileage of 45kmpl only. even though still now i never crossed 50 kmph. i am very much unsatisfied with its performance & the quality of service in saphire honda show room in bangalore is worst, i have never seen like this kind of service in my life.
Show room persons were not at all responding if we are standing in que, even though they were relaxing simply they will tell only one come on tommrow other wise they will reply to our answer as we cannot help it out. This is the type of response they were giving to the customer's then tell me why should we buy honda bike.

Honda Unicorn — Product and service

Dear concern,
I had purchased Honda UNICORN on[protected] from Jhaveri Honda and giving for servicing at pilot Honda Mulund. I found this bike is giving trouble. Many complaints were not attended at the service centre. There estimate and bill are not matching. Job knowledge is poor & workmen ship also not up to the mark. Because of that I am suffering.

Me also have this problems. My Dazzler gives only 21KMPL. And all small parts is not genuinely fitted, (eg: something fitted at the both end of handle are loose, reset button is not working, pass switch wouldn't go back, sometimes bike will not on even the key is on.)

Honda- Unicorn dazzler — Service Delay

Hi am renjith a tool designer from hyderabad, have bought a new Unicorn dazzler bike 4 months ago and after 1 month rear disk bush got damaged and since then am roaming here and there to get it replaced but surpricingly each and every dealer from hyderabad saying that Honda is not delivering parts to them, i bought the the bile by paying 76000/- because of the trust i had in Honda but the service which i got is disguesting and am totally disapponted with Honda.. me too own a dazzler and I feel the same about pickup... but I'm getting a fuel economy of 50kmpl...the suspension is very bad and it causes back problems...

I too own a Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler bike, I too have problems with the bike. Though I get decent mileage of 50 Kmpl, there are some other problems with the bike. It turns OFF due to air lock and I have to open the fuel tank cap and let the air flow in. Only then will the bike start, the brake light never turns OFF even though you are not pressing the brakes.

The major problem is with the Speedometer. Even if the bike is on stand, not moved by an inch the speedometer shows speeds upto 40- 80, while riding it displays incorrect speed. This problem was reported to ORANGE HONDA showroom in Hyderabad. They do not have a speedometer in stock. They say that the bike is new and the parts are unavailable. I will give it another 15 days and check with the showroom. If I do not get the Speedometer replaced then I am filing a complaint with the consumer court and will give my honest review about the bike on each website I find.

It is not worth going for Dazzler paying 73k and getting this kind of poor customer service from the company. I think Honda Should definately change their slogan from 'I enjoy the Quality' to ' I enjoy the Charity' because Honda is definately cheating people.

Just to update after about the superior quality of Honda Dazzler. My Speedometer was defective ( refer my previous post ). Not within 15 days the Odometer got screwed up. I will post a video of the Speedometer on Youtube very soon and let the from Honda check it out themselves.

Very Poor customer service, very poor product quality. Anyone willing to purchase Honda Dazzler forget it and go for some other product, its not the worth the money you pay. There are better products in the market priced lesser and Honda certainly survives on our Charity.

i too own unicorn dazzler. The bike have a very good pick up and milege than the old unicorn.I even get a milege of 63km/l and usually used to get 50+.I don't feel any thing bad on dazzler except the look.
