[Resolved]  Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. — Overcharging of Insurance

Dear Sir

I have purchased a car – Honda City VMT on 27.02.2010 from M/s Cosmic Honda vide their invoice No. 314.

Upon my enquiry Mr. Ratheesh, Sales Consultant of M/s Cosmic Honda had issued me a proforma invoice No. 1120 where in which it was specifically told that –

The cost of the vehicle will be Rs.9,08,100/-, Insurance Rs. 28,318/-
Road Tax Rs. 54,526/-, Total Rs.9,90,944/-
Since I had agreed to take the 2009 model, upon negotiation, the sales contract was signed given by Mr. Ratheesh and in that one it was agreed that the cost of the vehicle will be Rs.9,08,100/- and the insurance would be given free of cost along with 4 years 80,000 KM warranty, Teflon coating , Under coating, Cooling sticker, Parking Sensor and Rubber mat will be provided additionally. Since I had already in possession of insurance NCB of 50% on my earlier car I had informed Mr. Ratheesh that I will give the NCB Certificate, and it was agreed that upon issue of the NCB certificate equilent amount 50% of the insurance policy value will be refunded. The contract was signed by both o[censored]s and an advance cheque No. 118822 for Rs.25,000/- of State Bank of India was given. I had taken delivery of the vehicle by way of funding through Kotak Mahindra finance.

Upon receipt of the insurance policy from M/s Bharti Axa General Insurance Company Ltd. I had verified NCB status and they have reduced NCB of Rs.13,688/-, whereas in my account the credit given to me is only for Rs.6,844/-.

It is informed that in spite of claiming on my NCB certificate and availing the credit discount of Rs.13,688/- M/s Cosmic Honda have only given me Rs.6,844/- as NCB amount which is contrary to the agreement. Hence you are requested to kindly call upon the necessary documents to pursue the same and to direct M/s Cosmic Honda to settle my legal claim at the earliest.
