[Resolved]  Honda / Unicorn — Engine Warranty

PASHANKAR AUTO PVT. LTD. Address: Kedar Empire, Karve Road, Near Dashbhuja Flyover, Pune.

The above dealer is responsible for providing 1st four free servicing of HONDA Bikes.
I have purchased this bike with following details : MH 12 FG 5283, Engine Number: 1037853 ; on 23rd January 2009, and completed 1st two and the fourth servicing within the said period.
4rd servicing was done on 20th of July 2009 and the KM the bike ran was 5876 km.

On 13th September 2009, I found problem in engine of my bike, leading to tedious and disturbing noise while driving it.
On 14 September I went to the above service center, and said about the problem.
After examining the bike, he said me that the engines PISTON and more parts conjunction to it are destroyed and need to get them change.
As per the company warranty policy, the engine has 2 Years of Warranty (ie 24 months).
The dealer is rejecting to replace the required parts of vehicle under warranty, as I have not carried 3 rd servicing.
If the PISTON gets damaged because of missing any free servicing then why do the dealers carry further servicing.
Now he has done 4th servicing on 20th July 2009 and I am facing problem on 13th september 2009, and is rejecting to replace the above said parts of engine under warranty.
And he - the HONDA dealer, says that due to the company's Warranty policy ie - " Any HONDA UNICORN on which any free or paid service has not been carried out as per schedule given in owners manual."
I demand HONDA company to see into this matter and provide me the above specified parts free of cost or through the company's policy.

Honda Unicorn seems to be running into a bad Shape with frequent engine troubles which is quite expensive. My Unicorn also warrants a Piston replacement at merely 20000/- kms which is surprisingly not a matter of any concern to Honda Authorities as well. Thats why Pulsar rules the Indian Roads u see.
the same kind of problem i am also having With My Unicorn
My vhicle Honda Unicron 150 cc purcehes 09 oct 08 ( one year ), running 15469 kms, my complaint is i had change two times engine gasket.
The Service after sales is extremely bad for every Honda product. I have 2 honda products.
purchased a Honda unicorn last august. The worst after sales ever seen. Never again a Honda product

Honda — rejected to fix the vehicle engine problem

i had purchased honda activa 2 years back.
After 1.5 years it got some engine problem(engine noise) when i submited the vehicle for servicing in sterling honda.
They replaced the damaged part under goodwill, but after 5 months it started showing up the same problem again.
Now sterling honda is refusing to fix the problem.
The esmitated cost for the issue is Rs 7000-10,000.
I Had got my Unicorn in August 2010. For 1st year the bike was running smooth and fine. But for Second year onwards there have been continuos engine problems in the Bike.
I kindly request to Honda Authorities to Look into matter the following Issues on Priority.
1. Front Suspensions which continually make noise.
2. Exaust gas smoke which is often seen in Unicorn Bike.
3. Engine and Piston Problem.

Every time I go to service centre they cum up with cost based solution wherein you are told to replace the piston, gasket and Valve on frequent basis.
Regret to say very bad service and bad bike to refer.

Yes, Honda is the worst after sales Providers.
i have escalated many times and got my work done.
they are very arogant. The reason is their trust in public. never go with honda. i urge my dear ones.

I have also the same issue..engine noise based on once reached next 20 km. my byke age was 1year old. I will submit a byke to jsp honda dealer, chennai. Even i tel about free service No :3 & 4. also . till not resolved my issue.

Today i will give a 5 th service .Now gas smoke also comming. I dont know what they will say. kindly resolve the issue at the least service based authorized service centers. All the service centers also money minded only.
