[Resolved]  HSBC — Harrassment

This is to bring in your kind attention that I am getting multiple threat calls from HSBC bank to settle my card but I want to bring in your kind attention that I have fully settled this credit card 4 years ago. I have settled my card via settlement letter, but unfortunately I have maintained the receipt and the letter for 4 years as I have changed my residential address couple of times. But It is very unfortunate to state that today also at 10:30 my wife who is alone in Mumbai ( I am on a official visit abroad) received call from Mr. Mishra who claimed himself from hsbc legal department & threatened her to send police to my address if I dont pay my dues of 81000 INR by tommorrow 11:30. He also threatened her to personal harassment if she dont do as she has told by him. My wife asked for his address and contact details( as he claimed that he is from Kolkata), but he did not give it. On the contrary he has given the HSBC customer care number as his contact number. He told that this complaint is lodged in Delhi Patiala court and did even give the case no. as well.
I have settled my card long back and it seems that they are taking advantage of the long duration(4 years).
Please help me as i cannot take this anymore.

i have been the hsbc credit card customer for a year all my payments to the bank has been on time and never even once delayed...i lost my job in aug so from september onwards i was not able to make the payment . yet in September i made a payment of minimum due . now i want to go for settlement and want it to be divided in 8 emis. the hsbs agent initially agreed to do so . when i asked the agent to send a letter stating that they are collecting 8 PDC in lieu of the settlement of my card they refused to do so and became abusive

I have been asking for my orignal flat papers sice long time so please do the needfull, sir this loan was home loan on geetanjali vijay panwalkar's name sir i repayed the amount in whole through Federal bank after i got the outstanding till date from parth panwalkar her son and NOC certificate from HSBC bank to go ahead so i executed the sale deed of the flat and since april 2007 iam following for my flat orignal papers.

HSBC Credit Card — Threatening calls after 2 years of settling the account

For past 5 days I am getting continuous calls from HSBC, Phone # [protected]. They harrase me saying that I am Absconding etc. my credit card # was [protected]. I has settledown the payment in 2007 aaginst the letter from Asst Manager - Debt Management HSBC dated 24/10/2007 (Ref # FFS/WI/MUM/NWO/CPD/241007/KS).
I requested them to provide their name or emai or fax so that I can send them the copy of the letter, but they refused to do so.

Please let me know what should I do, I even have the receipt of the payment etc.

I fully agree and feel that HSBC shold be punished for harrassing and cheating people here in India.

Should we need such corrupted and fraud Bank In India. Govt. should cancell them and keek them out of India.

HSBC has cheated me. I never wanted to apply for this card but back in 2005 the executive came and informed that this card will be free for life long as my company has been listed in theier corprate list. I bought the card .I did use the card and paid itn full. Now after 2-3 years they have come back saying that i have to pay than more than 20k. When i refused to pay as i haven't used the card since 2005 and i had paid it in full.They inform me that the Annual membership fee has been charged on my a/c.They say that the AMF would be charged once we stop using the card. Thats !!!

I have been with HSBC for over ten years. All my accounts were up to date, but due to hours being cut I had to reduced my credit card payment from £250 to £100. The Operator accepted it and made a standing order for £100 to come out of my account and cancelled the £250. I had to send an expenditure form also. One year later and I am now with the Banking Ombudsman. HSBC had not accepted the £100 payment and sent my file immediately to Debt Collection agencies, one was Capquest who wrote to my father. I have been harrassed day and night seven days a week and written numerous letters to HSBC that they had an agreement and the agreement was binding by Law. They have lumped my account with missed payments of £250 a time, the accounts have gone over their limits now and higher interest charges applied and to all my letters have just had computer print outs or letters from departments alien to the one I wrote to, with rubbish content. I since found during the year HSBC dont have any original credit agreements on any of my accounts. I have told HSBC I will not lie down and take this and have the right to Sue them. Distance Selling Regulations 2000 talks about agreements made over the phone as being binding. Unfair Debt Collection proceedures by OFT speaks of harrassment. Consumer Credit Act 1974 HSBC breached also by not having copies of paperwork I have requested. It is a pity that all the people being harrassed by HSBC can't get together and collectively take them to Court. That wouldl hit the newspapers and perhaps make them behave more professionally. I don't recognise HSBC anymore, its like an alien set of operators have moved in and have no understanding of the Law and how to behave, or they have been trained not to care.

Ihave been following with HSBC Bank in Pune have been asking for my orignal flat papers sice long time . but they are not responding me, This was a Home loan was taken by Geetanjali Vijay Panwalkar and Vijay govind Panwalkar, Parth Vijay Panwalkar from HSBC Bank Pune. Sir i purchased the flat from Geetanjali Vijay Panwalkar and i repayed the amount in whole through Federal bank Pune after i got the outstanding till date from parth panwalkar her son (Power of attorney Holder)and after receieving outstanding balance till date from HSBC Bank i cleared that amount after that i receieved NOC letter from HSBC BANK Pune to execute the sale deed for the said Flat on the basis of the NOC given by HSBC Bank so i executed the sale deed of the flat and since april 2007 iam following for my flat orignal papers As the bank is giving me no reasons for my flat orignal papers . i have authority letter from Geetanjali panwalkar signed by her and HSBC employee in HSBC BANK Pune .And HSBC wants Geetanjali Panwalkar to close her account . So iam following BANK and Geetanjali Panwalkar
