I am a student of CFA 042143 and taken my admission from AJC bose road branch kolkata . I have done MBA in finance from Calcutta University and at that time I was working with India Bulls Securities Ltd . I talked with the student counselor Ms Debjani Ghosh and I repeatedly told her I want to take admission in DBF (the 1st part of CFA - MS Finance), She has misinformed me that in future there is no possibility to if I want to continue in CFA programme . She took 12 no's of Cheque from me in favour of their tie up loan company . I repeatedly told her not to do this because in the near future it is no guarantee that I will continue that course or not . I have paid Rs 10000 as admission fee . After that I lost my job and and repeatedly told the institute that I cannot pay, they send us the legal notice and humiliated like anything . I have paid my money but I have not given any exam whatsoever .After that I have changed my sector in HR and pursued the course PGDPM&IR. Icfai is a money making institution they are taking money from their students through a illegal way and they have taken lot of money from me. In CFA from the group 1 level the passing % is so low and that is done by the university by intensation, this is one mode of getting the money . I invite all of the students to come together and make a mass appeal against the university . If we don't do this there are lot of students are there they will be under the trap of this university in future. This is one type o[censored]ndue influence and coercion what happened with me. This unversity is offering different course in different time, it is really doubtful that they have proper recognition . We should come together to fight against ICFAI unversity . One very vital point that they donot have any year wise or semister wise payment option, they have only option to take whole money, wheather you continue the course or not or you fail. Please note that your dual MBA program requires high degree of intellectual stimulation, hard work and motivation through out the period of time to successfully complete the program. As you maybe aware that the program curriculum is contemporary, in-depth and vast. Those who want to pursue the program acquiring that sort of knowledge may continue.

Debjani is a real in AJC Bose road. The University should take out that out . She has no information about the university. I too has been cheated with my MBA admission.

I think rather posting this type of nasty comments, if you are a student of that University.. you should have informed this to University authority.

You should have write a mail to [protected]@icfaiuniversity.in mentioning your student identity. Surely they would have addressed the issue.

THe ICAI institute of chartered accountants of india is also a cheater it only cheats as only it makes students fail and take money for xams, and also it dont allow u to do graduation and masters due to the articleship and also u cant do any job u had to remain under a ca for three yrs with 1 thousand per month and after that u wil find that u havent cleared any exam as u failed and also u r not a graduate even, so not getting an job. Its like a jamindari system in a corporate way. I curse the institute and also the ca's for this system this is just a politics to prevent youth from doing anytrhing, u wil not pas ca exams as the paers are cheked by ca's who dont want u to be a ca as it wil increase competetion for them and al this is very harsh realty, go for mba, bba, even also for bcom m com but not ca & cfa this wil mak ur life a complete hell belive me

My husband has cleared Groups A, B & C of the CFA course of ICFAI Tripura. When he got his Group marksheet it was written as MFA course instead of CFA. Why is it so ? Has the name changed to CFA or is it an error on the part of the institute

I DONT KNOW WEATHER ICFAI CFA OR INTERNATIONAL CFA BUT ABOUT ONE THING I AM SURE THAT NO CAN STAND PARALLEL TO THE CFA(MS-FINANCE) FROM ICFAI NEITHER ICFAI PLAIN CFA NOR INTERNATIONAL CFA.

I even asked why it is written MFA...then guy tel you what even CA got FCA degree n CA is designation..same is with CFA...cfa is designation we get...

I joined ICFAI for DBF programme in 1999. The DBF programme is tough. I had to give papers twice. Some papers I had to give thrice. I could clear only 2 of 3 groups to date. Let me tell you some of the questions in the paper are not covered in their 'textbooks'. Even a post mortem of the paper would reveal that you could never answer some of those questions since they were 'out of syllabus'. I now feel that they were doing this deliberately with a commercial bent of mind to maximise exam fees. However that course gave me some good grounding in Finance which I have been able to use. However I would not recommend that course to anyone - it isn't a recognised and a respected course and there are better ways to learn finance than from ICFAI's courses. All the best to those who have joined. Do complete your course and then go and crack interviews for jobs with enthusiasm. Employers want to see your enthusiasm and knowledge and personality.
