[Resolved]  ICICI Personal Loan — harassment and no waiver (LPCHD[protected])

I have taken a 73000 loan from ICICI bank the EMI of which is 2750 rs. The ICICI bank was not able to withdraw first EMI from my account (andhra bank account no. 19175). So they sent recovery executive to me for taking that installment. The recovery executive take two intallments from me by saying that there is a problem that ICICI bank will not be able to withdraw the second intallment also. So I gave him the two installments amounting rs 5500 the receipt no. of which is L[protected]. They deducted second installment from my bank account also and technical reason because of which they are not able withdraw first installment they put a fine of rs 225 rs in my account for the reason of check bounce which was not actually bounced. I showed them my bank statment which is showing no boucing to regional icici loan dept. at sec. 9 chandigarh. The executives there take photostat of my bank statement and ensure me that i will receive my 225 rs refund within 15 days. As the recovery agent has taken second installment from me in advance in cash which was deducted from my bank account also. So to take back the extra intallment which they have taken from me by there own mistake it took four months to get it back with deduction of 225 rs which according to them are check decline charges which was not bounced. I go to them after every 15 days they take photstat of my bank statment and tell me to come after 15 days. I keep on visiting there for around 5-6 months to get back those 225 rs. But every time they take my bank statement and ask to come after 15 days. This increased my frustration as being a bank they impose any thing on there customer and customer is the one to bear mistakes done by them. So after not getting any result i really bounced my dec. month installment after that i have started receiving calls from there call centre delhi. I told them to waive my unnecessary bouncing charges of first intallment and second bouncing which was done intentionally to have there attention. My only concern was to get a waiver of extra charges imposed on me but they told me to pay installment only. I don't have faith on ICICI bank.I am having records of every thing that how many times i have visited there sec. 9 office and called to them at there help line from telephone. instead of settling the issue by waiving my fines they have send recovery executive with police at my home.

Money is not a concern here. My only concern is that how a bank can be so irresponsible about there customers. Because there is cost of everything. I have visited there branch 6-7 times got no results only fustration.

My concerns are:

1) Why the have charged extra 730 rs in my first installment as my payment schedule is showing first installment of rs 2020 rs.

2) Why they have charged check decline chrges for check which was not declined.

3)Why there recovery executive had taken extra advance intallment from me.



Now i have actually bounced one of there installment to negotiate with them my waivers but instead of waiver they have sent police to my house. How can police be involved in recovery of icici bank.

Please help me immidiately and suggest me what to do as this is a matter of self respect now.

whatever you have done is right... I myself harresed by these recovery agents. Don't bother abpout poilce as non payment of emi is not criminal offence. Have guts & ask police why the hell he is there... keep all telephonic recording with agents, file complaint iin local police station . If any recovery agent comes give teach him in his own language (hope u understand). recovery agents are [censored] bull hit them harder you can...

I myself not paid their PL & Credit card payment due to there this attitude...

Personal — extra charges impose on me

i am your coustmer since last two year at the time of opening account i have been misguided by sales agent that no hiden charge will charge after openig the a/c now bank manager has impose of Rs 3550 on me .that harassment of coustmer kindly help to waved of above ammont .

first of all peoples mistake is calling to ph banking, visiting bank etc. just talk in mail so that every thing will be in recorded communication and then tell to the bank if it will not be reversed in week then i will stop paying EMI and bank is responsible for any consequences etc. then bank comes to your leg. (i am too arrogant with this private banks. ECS bounced due to nil balance in icici and next month before due date i paid extra emi as balance is nil in icici ac. 2 times abn amro bank presented emi even though i paid advance. i stopped paying credit card dues (different to ecs) for ecs presentation finally Abn amro came for credit card settlement with 8k less. so happily i paid)

simple Rule: ph communication is difficult to prove for your favour. Mail is too simple to prove you had informed.
icici bank is worst and idiotic bank in the world i paid 5 installments from one bank and my 6th installment check is in another bank but those had sent this check which is in another bank to first bank since it has bounced, then the recovery agents came and warned 3 to 4 times and finally the came to seze the vheicle then i had made a clash with them and finally i went to hit them like hero afterwards they went saying we will come tomaro then we all about 5 to6members went to icici bank barked like any thing and manager apolises but i wanted to recovery agents to tell me sorry so i went to my uncle a police officer and explained all the thinks and he called those recovery agents and banged them finally those recovery agents came to my home like a dead dog and appolises, after all the things had done and payed all the installment till now i had not recived noc, if we ask them they are giving customercare no and that is intractive voice service these are not available at that time,
tomaro i am going to call them again, WHY THE TERRORISTS ARE GOING TO PUT THE BOMBS IN INOCENT PEOPLES PLACE LET THEM PUT IN ICICI BANK
they r treating the customers like prisoners the thing is crime done by them and imprisonment is for customers


so friends dont go for icici bank for investments, let it liquidify
Praveen you have done a very right thing.
I had face the same situation and also I have taken a personal loan on a fixed reducing rate in January 2008 but when the market fails they automatically put my loan into the floating interest so for 70000 I was paying interest of 2376 and it was for 3 yrs not tenure has increased for 4 yrs and I didnt get any intimation from the ICICI bank that your tenure has increased by one year.

I came to know when I been to bank to close my loan so they tell me to pay more and I refused to do so and I had put a written complaint and they took around 2 months to resolve them and unnecessary they have charged the late fees

I think Consumer court should take action against such things and due to such harrasement done on us they should be strictly punished and should give us our money back

I dont trust ICICI bank and I dont recommend any one to get anything from it and I would say this bank should be Banned for doing such things to client
Dear Mr.Praveen,

This is a normal thing with many ICICI Personal Loan customer's ...its just that people let go off these issues considering this as a small amount, its good that you raised your voice.

I myself have encountered these sort of problems, am also fighting a similar issues wherein my 2EMI's got dedcuted in the same month.
