[Resolved]  ICICIcredit Card — Harassment by staff

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

Respected Ms/Mrs Kochhar,

I bring to your notice the appallng customer service by your staff.

I, Mr Ramesh Pai, card no:- [protected] had to make a payment of Rs 4000/- with 26th June 2012, the due date, unfortunately, I could make only the part payment.

Hence, I called customer service to enquire, how to make make the ICICI card payment, through another Credit card, since I could not use netbanking. One lady told me to go on the site and check for CItibank option, which I duly did, but it only had debit card option!

I called up again to check & was told, there is no option to make payment through another credit card & he told me to check with Citibank!!.

Then, I asked him to pass on to a supervisor, which he said yes & then remembered to verify details.

Unfortunately, since the email address was old & I was on field, did not remember the last payment, but confirmed the birthdate, also I told him that, last payment was made on 26th June 2012 morning of Rs 3000/- & bal was pending of Rs 1000/- .

He flatly refused, stating, he cannot see that, & argued with me, stating that I told him, that the payment was made by cheque, which obviously I did not ( You can hear the conversation )

Then I requested to pass to a supervisor, since he was wasting my time, he flatly refused for any further conversation.

This has really disappointed me, since, this was the last day of the payment & would incur unnecessary charges.

Kindly have a hear at the conversation & decide for yourself.

Name of Rep:- Harikrishna from Hyd
Time of Call:- 19:20 pm to 19.33 pm on[protected] on 26th June 2012

Kind Regards

Ramesh Pai

Hi Ramesh,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We have made a note of your contact details. Our official will get back to you at the earliest.

Regards,
ICICI Bank Customer Service Team
Just look at this FRAUD & shameless organisation. Could anybody advise me how to contact RBI or the leading newspapers to hammer this GUTTERSIDE organisation.!!!

Hello, Mr. Gani,

Finally, after playing around, you showed your true colors.

I was under the impression, you were deaf, but now I realise, you are blind as well. You cannot even see, that your so called external officer has been cc'd in previous mail.

Also, I'd clearly told you, Mr. Ramesh Pai had called up on 26th June 2012 & before this call, there was another call made some time earlier, which was confirmed & this was the 2nd call, when your illiterate road side rep started acting smart.

Why were other details not verified by him, why did he accuse us of lying, when he had been clearly told, that on 26th June morning, Online payment of Rs 3000/- was made.
Why after that, your person, Mr. Ravi Vanker, said, not to worry, since, no interest will be charged, since, the payment amt was of Rs 1700/- only & not Rs 3900/-

Why did he not escalate to his senior when requested to do so, after explaining that it was the last day of payment?, why doesnt ICICI afford a toll free number, instead of keeping people on hold for ages & then getting disconnected in this manner rudely?

Try to answer things specificially if you a real manager, as I've asked & not type non productive nonsense in half the mail.

Your person has made a terrible mistake, if not he, the company should pay for his mistakes, else, if you love him so much, take him home, but compensate us, till then the issue will remain wide open, whatever you say.

Regards

Ramesh Pai

Hello,

Do not try to skirt & avoid your responsbilities by giving silly & vague reasons.

You told me the call is not recorded, the person before you apologised for it,
so you decide, how much you want to lie or say what, before talking any more
nonsense.

Why do you try to provide best possible solutions, why do you not provide actual solution?

Tommorow, I will say, I tried my best to pay your money, but, I could not, then I would request you
to waive of the pending Rs 900/-, kindly waive it off, is it possible?

2 weeks ago, since our conversation, you were supposed to respond to me, through your senior management by email, where is that response?
If this issue is still on, your illterate staff is the sole reason, also, you do not record such crucial calls, in that scenario, does
that give me the license to abuse your staff personally left & right, in such a scenario?

Your person said, since amt for prev mth was only Rs 1700/- there would be no charges, sinces amt of
Rs 3000/- was paid, still you went ahead and applied the late charges & your illterate staff says,
I am going round & round,

Regards

Ramesh Pai

Hello,

What service gesture??
A pathetic organisation like you, is giving me a gesture for the brazenness of your illiterate & 3rd grade staff? Do I need your charity?

The very fact, I'd mentioned in the first mail, that I will be not liable for any charges, since the credit for the entire fiasco & stupidity was courtesy your rep.

Later, when your person called after this incident, he said, since the original amt due was only Rs 1700/- & Rs 3000/- have been paid, for that mth, no charges wil incur till next billing date, now what charges are you talking about?

Also, please stop making calls and only reply with mails, from your senior management, since, tomorrow you will say, you did not find any call records!

I need your mail response, since I am liasing with RBI as well.

Regards

Ramesh Pai

PS:- Its now a mth, for this issue if you've any shame left, kindly resolve this by escalating or taking action.

Dear Mr. Vanker,

Appreciate the prompt response as per our call.

Although, it is gracious on your part to apologise, it doesn't seem logical that any employee can act in a indifferent manner & the management apologises & expects the issue to be closed, especially, when the person said here, was adamant & stubborn enough, not to pass my call to a supervisor, inspite of not understanding my genuine concern at that time.

He indirectly or directly accused me of lying, stating, I made the payment by cheque, when I'd clearly stated, that I transferred it online.

Secondly, it does not seem amusing, that, you are pointing out the previous payments made or not made.

Kindly explain, what relevance, does it hold in this issue or how does it matter here?

If you've a concern with my credit record, then please state so, I've no qualms in closing this asap, but not before, this issue is resolved.

You've not mentioned the details of the transcript as requested earlier.

If Im wrong or miscommunicated, I take back my words, if not, you should take action against your staff, or let him state a written apology, cc'ing the management.

Best Regards

Dear Mr. Pai,

We refer to your appended e-mail of June 25, 2012 addressed to Ms. Chanda Kochhar which has been assigned to the undersigned for due analysis and redressal...

Further, with reference to our telephonic conversation today, we sincerely apologize for the unpleasant experience you had with our customer care. We urge you to treat this incident as an exceptional occurrence and not an indicator of our service levels.

As per the statement of June 8, 2012 the total outstanding was Rs. 3906.39 to be paid on or before June 26, 2012. We would like to inform you that, we have received the part payment through Infinity payment of Rs. 3000.00 and the same has been credited to your Credit Card account 5239 xxxx xxxx 0000 on June 27, 2012. As per process, the Turn Around Time (TAT) for crediting the infinity payments is 48 working hours. The current outstanding on your Credit Card 5239 xxxx xxxx 0000 is Rs. 2066.39.

As per terms and conditions governing usage of the credit card, if a customer makes payment of only the Minimum Amount Due (MAD) or any amount less than the Total Amount Due (TAD), then appropriate charges and interest are levied to the account. Over-limit charges are levied when the total outstanding exceeds the credit limit prescribed for the card. This is explained in the terms and conditions sent to the card member at the time of issuance of the card.

As indicated above, the payments made by you were less than the TAD and less than even MAD on several occasions and at irregular intervals on the aforesaid card. Further, payment of only the MAD amount, does not abstain the responsibility of the outstanding dues on the card account. The customer has to make payments of the TAD within specified due dates, to avoid levy of interest and charges on the card account. The card has been utilized by you for your personal benefit without any deficiency in the services offered by the Bank. However, failure to make TAD within specified due dates attract interest and other charges in your card account. We also confirm that we have been regularly dispatching your statements at your registered communication address updated in our records.

As per the process, customer can make payments though Visa Debit cards or through Bank accounts and not through any other Credit Cards.

We deeply value our relationship with you and hope that you will give us the opportunity of continuing to serve you.

We look forward to an early opportunity to restore your full confidence in us and provide you with a high standard of service that would indeed be up to your expectations... We are confident that in the near future you would have a better banking experience with us.

Sincerely,

Ravi Vanker
