Now that I have read the above comments, I decided not to buy the NetSetter. Also, Can anyone please tell me what kind of broadband service is available where one does not have to sign up for a landline. I stay in Pune. Mobility is no issue for me. I can stay glued to one place. I just want very high speed.

The speed of Idea Netsetter is 236.8 kbps in EDGE network and 53.6 - 85.6 kbps in GPRS network. Currently EDGE network is available is select cities only in India. Your city may not be one of them. So kindly wait till the EDGE service comes to you city. Untill then you will experience the speed of 53.6 kbps only.

Hey guys for getting good speed with idea netsetter (for unlimited plans only) you need to first start a download of say 40 mb ...or anything and then surf the websites...this would give you a constant browsing speeds say 15 KBPS (not 15 Kbps) upto 20 KBPS.I prefer to use Bitcomet for my downloading applications and works well with idea net setter.I have even downloaded a movie of 700 mb in just 10 hours through torrents.You are connected wih idea node at 236.8 Kbps so max speed u can attain is of 30 KBPS but sometimes i get 35 KBPS also.

I have purchace an Idea high speed internet connection i.e. net setter high speed EDGE/GPRS Mobile internet wireless data speedup to 236.8kbps and Iam getting dowonlod speed 5 to 10kbps, no response from the company after complain to IDEA please suggest what to do?????????

Actually you can insert other sim into the net setter and avail better plans. Reliance has launched new GSM. IN the net setter application you can change the options to other networks and access points. Reliance has monthly unlimited for 250 rs.

u r lucky my speed never crosses 15kbps & downloading is 1-2kbps

net connect.so till i am terminated that.this is my big mistake.please how to make the speed high...

i am using idea net setter before 1 month. this card is very very slow up to 10 kb last speed .some time rare 15 kb last speed.so any new customer plz dont take this product.if take u will be loss u r time and money.plz call me old customer and new [protected]

Extremely bad IDEA! I purchased this thing last month. I took unlimited plan (in MP). The speed was exactly what I was looking for and compared to Airtel's Broadband 256 unlimited (I use it too). Aftter a few days when the download crossed 150MB mark, the speed just dropped and now I get only 0.02KBps which is utterly IT "Stone-Age". I feel ashamed to use it and feel that I was just ripped off. There is no support, no Tel. numbers to call, and the netsetter web site just displays our Sirji with the datacard. Absolutely worst after sales I have ever seen.

The speeds are pathetic and medieval. Do not purchase this product.. a VERY BAD IDEA SIRJI.

idea netsetter was very slow

it is waste product from idea.i want to get away with this but now that initial amt of 2500 is gone for that set please do not buy idea net setter. hopeless speed and worst customer care perhaps no Customer care service.

so mobile connection in n6300 had better peformance than netsetter

while i was downloading sims life 2 from torrent it was giving download speed of 38 kbps
slowly slowly it raised to 50 kbps - 55 kbps
now i have downloaded around 190 GB in 1.5 months
i have downloaded 35 movies of 2 GB
i have unlimited pln of 850
instant connectivity
better response
i am getting connected to net at 303.2 kbps
donno how but iam first who gets connected at 303 kbps

I have been using idea too. and the difference is that if you get the signal of IDEA GPRS you ll get speed of 53 kbps or something. and if you get signal of IDEA EDGE you will get speed of 236.8 kbps. On complaining they are not responsing correctly.
