[Resolved]  Idea Net Setter — very slow

i had purchased the so called high speed net setter yesterday.and from the tym i plugged it i got to know that its useless and i hav wasted my money..the funniest thing is that i had collected my pocket money from 6 months and purchased the setter.but i got really hurt.why these people do so..why they try to cheat the innocent people.now the only q comes to my mind is WHAT TO DO NOW? imean i cant throw the device.also i had to pay 1500rs bill for the coming thee months and after that 800 per month for this too slow speed
im getting download speed of 1kbps and even less than that...it sounds horribleeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

i am getting only 0.01 TO 9 kbps I have UNLIMITED plan What the hell is this ??? 0.01kbps means what? is this speed?

I have purchace an Idea high speed internet connection i.e. net setter high speed EDGE/GPRS Mobile internet wireless data speedup to 236.8kbps
and i think idea is having the worst network i have ever seen
i just want to cancel my connection

I am for the last 1 month using idea netsetter and until yet I didnt used it properly. They assured me 236.8 kbps but for me the maximum speed received is 0.16 kbps, I have with me complete evidence such as screen shots. I will upload it in a server and will post the link here for proof. I suggest pls dont take netsetter they are cheating customers. I faced a worst customer service from them. Every day Iam calling customer care and no one responded to my complaints. Iam moving legally against them . I will approach consumer Redresal Forum to get return the amount that paid for getting the netsetter.

Pls pls once again Iam informing not to get trouble by buying netsetter pls go to other service provider

I've purchased Idea Net Setter high speed wireless internet connection data speed upto 236.8kbps unlimited plan Rs 849 in August'08 and Iam getting internet speed only 1.23 to 4.41 kbps and the worst thing is that sometime the speed of internet in bytes. After several complaints to Idea company no response till date. Please suggest me what to do?????????

Idea Net Setter — Very Low Speed Data Card

The speed shown on the Net Setter interface is - in KB/s (kiloBytes per sec). You will have to multiply this figure by 8 - to get the speed in kbps(kilo bits per second)

That is i[censored]r speed is 10KB/Sec - then ur actual speed is 80kbps

'kbps' is the normal term for mentioning speed.

I have been using Net Setter for my regular use - the speed is good. I get around 120-160kbps (or 15KB/s - 20KB/s) - sometimes even 200kbps. It depends on network factors, signal strength, etc i suppose. But - sometimes(rarely) even I have got speeds as low 20kbps

(try it 2-3 times, at different ocassions, to compare ur speeds. Ur actual speed will be slightly higher than what comes as the result)

I also agree with this . I have a connection. Wireless is supposed to provide connectivity when we are on the move. Sorry to say but nobody should take this connection .It is a waste of time and money. No connectivity, no service here.

I want to register the complaint againt your idea data card. It often get disconnected and very slow also.
Always it get disconnected after 15- 20 minutes. What should I do.?

friends i think u haven't experienced the speed of 0.00/sec.Ya its really very horrible. onece i start my downloding and after 2-3 hours speed go down with 0.00/sec and my downloading stops and again i have to try from first.Even for downloading one sofware, i have put my pc on for whole night.Plz sirji do something, this is so BAD idea then i accept..
