[Resolved]  IFB Industries — IFB service on their dishwasher

I have an IFB dishwasher that has been causing problems since the beginning of the year. It has been fixed a few times and I got the annual maintenance contract on 14/1/2012.

On September 21st, 2012, I registered a complaint that my dishwasher wasn’t working. I called several times to follow up on the same. Every time I talked, the IFB representative was polite and said someone will call within 24 hours – but alas, no one did.

On October 23rd, 2012, I was given a different complaint number by the representative. The earlier one had been magically resolved – even though I never got any repair person come home! Again, I have been calling repeatedly to find out the status of the complaint – but to no avail.

I am also being told that I should contact the service center directly at other numbers: Franchisee owner (Nagasai): [protected] and Dasbagir: [protected]. First, I don’t know why I should call them directly since IFB is supposed to do this. In any case, I called them repeatedly – but their phone either seems to be turned off or busy.

In the meantime, my dishwasher has been in a non-working condition for over 2 months now. And remember, I paid for the annual maintenance contract which I don’t see the value of – at all.

Can you please forward this to the right person in IFB so I can get the right service ASAP? My customer id is 572711.

IFB Customer Service Sucks big time. I am extremly pissed by the way complaints are dealt at IFB Hydrabad center. Its been 5 days that I have lodged a complaint for uninstalling my washing machine and I have made not less then 40 calls to IFB custoner care center which I believe is in Hydrabad and have spoken to 3 supervisor after asking not less than 10 agents to transfer the call. I spoke to Sachin 1st who commited me that me concern will be resolved at the earliestbut nothing happened. Then I spoke to Ravi who said he will speak to the Area Manager and will call me back but never called back. Then I spoke with Amit another supervisor, he put me on a conference call with Mr Chanchal who is now again asking me to wait for another day before my machine can finally be resolved. Also at the very last moment when I was speaking to Mr. Chanchal I was told that I will have to pay some charges to uninstall the machine. WTF???? I I was to pay any amount for installing the machine why was I not told about it in these 5 days?? If anyone from IFB is reading this please take a note of it and ensure that the agents and the supervisors live upto the reputation of your company and help you build your brand.

As of now all I can say is that this has been my worst experience with any customer service center.

My compaint is still in the pending list and I am sure it will remain in the same list. I am contemplating to get my machine installed by my electrician I am sure he will do a better job.

The problem is not with IFB product but with the center dealing with the after sales service, which sucks big time
I Purchased the IFB Elite SX5.5 KG washing machine Bearing Sl. No. 001668 from M/s Sony Electronics, Chandanagar, Hyderabad in 2010. There was a complaint after 2/3 months of receipt of this machine about Abnormal noise. IFB service personnel attended rectified temporarily. again same was repeated after 2 months. again complained and there was temp. correction. Every time I complain the service personnel interested in selling accessories/Bi products of IFB . Almost all accessories including IFB water additional filter which was recently purchased. Now this time I registered a complaint on 08.10.12 ref. No. 10161249, my customer Id. 2471915. service person visited after 10 days of my complaint, said bearing failed, m/c needs to take to the workshop and confirmed that the service people will come and take the m/c to work shop and it may cost Rs. 600 for transport. today 28.10.12, even after repeated calls to IFB toll free customer care, work shop and visited service person there is no response. Area service head Mobile no. and land line no. [protected] an[protected] seems to be always in switched off condition.
Even after repeated same complaint the problem was not rectified permanently and it lead to now total machine breakdown since 18 days.
I request you to kindly forward this complaint to concerned authority. I would be great full to you if you can arrange for replacement of the machine with new one. I totally and really got frustrated with this machine.

Again since 3 days the abnormal noise is coming from the machine.

I think IFB supplied a defective machine to me, Once again I am requesting for new replacement.

I really scared to purchase other appliances of IFB.
