[Resolved]  Income Tax Refund — non-receipt of income tax refund

I have filled Income Tax return for assessment year 2009-10 in the ward of I.T.O. SULTANPUR (U.P.) My acknowledgement No. is - 1848 dated 28/07/2009. MY refumd amound is Rs. 7882/= only. Dear Sir/Ma’m,

This is to inform you that my (PAN-AFXPC7809K)refund cheque for the assessment year 2008-09 returned back due to wrong old address entry by the staff of local Income tax office. I’ve already received a refund for assessment year 2007-08 in my present address "ABAHAN", 23 Adiganga Road(27, Co-operative Road) Bansdroni, Kolkata-700070 (Ref. Income tax refund advice no-CMPP0543069 Cheque no.-056249) which is also mentioned as same for the assessment year 2008-09 SARAL form but this address had wrongly been entered in the system(20, Rajani Babu Road, P.O Kanchrapara, Dist-24 Prgs.-North Pin-743145) due to which the cheque reached the old address and returned back .I’ve visited local Income Tax office at Kolkata several times and the staffs out there use to say again and again that the communication address has been modified. But on enquiry for the same both at SBI end and Income Tax office at Gurgaon is saying that the old address is still reflecting and status is ‘Party Shifted’.

I am really surprised that despite of providing the present address how come my old address being entered in the system while I’ve already received previous refund in the same address moreover the counterpart of SARAL kept at IT dept within the file is also found tampered with whitener ink. During the previous refund I suffered a lot due to wrong PAN entry and this time due to wrong communication address.

I request you to please look into this and do the needful.

I am shafi, I had submitted my Income Tax return on 16 july 2009 for the financial year 2008-09 receipt No. [protected] at Hyedrabad. As per return Rs.14, 1470/- was excess tax deducted at sources. My PAN NO. is BXAPS4526F

Not received my Refund

I had filed my Income Tax returns for the Assessment year[protected]Financial Year[protected] on 27th June 2008. I received my acknowledgement from Income Tax Department on 27-June-2008. I am supposed to receive a Refund of Rs 4092. It is 22 months now and I have still not received my Refund. Please look into this and process my refund cheque at the earliest.
