I am a retired officer. I had filled my IT retutn on 27th July 2009 Ref 603, I am waiting for the refund..
I had paid Rs 60000 as advance tax and Rs 51694 as TDS. (total Rs 1, 11, 694/
I was supposed to get refund of Rs 22528. However, I was refunded Rs 6000/, a balance of Rs 16308 is due. for payment
This is because TDS credit of Rs 51694 was not given due to non availability of records at IT office.
I have submitted documents of paying TDS to the IT office range 6 on 21 June 2010, Ref603
I shall be grateful if I am refunded the balance amount.

I had filed my Income Tax Return for the assessing year 2009 - 10 to Income Tax Office, online on 27/04/2010. The acknowledge number is [protected]. I will get refund of Rs.26330.00. But till date neither I have received any information nor the refund has been sent to my Bank account.

IT REFUNDS ARE NOT CREDITED FOR TWO OR THREE YEARS EVEN IF THEY ARE FOR SMALL AMOUNTS FROM 500 TO 2000 IF ENQUIRED THEY ASK FOR BRIBES THEY PROMPTLY SEND REFUNDS FOR BIG AMOUNTS AFTER RECEIVING BRIBES SMALL AMOUNTS ARE IGNORED THE CITIZENS CHARTER OF IT DEPT SAYS IT REFUNDS WILL TAKE ONLY NINE MONTHS BUT IN PRACTICE
IT TAKES EVEN MORE THAN NINE YEARS OR NEVER ASSESSEES ARE REMINDED ABOUT DUEDATES ONLY FOR PAYMENT OF TAXES AND FILING OF RETURNS BUT FOR REFUNDS NO TIME LIMITS OR DUE DATES ARE FIXED WHENEVER I VISIT THE IT OFFICE FOR INQUIRY
NOBODY WILL BE AVAILABLE THEY WOULD HAVE GONE FOR TEA/CANTEEN/PAN BEEDI CIGARETTE

If you look at the IT department site, you can find all details and signs about filing your tax, but nothing useful related to refund. You can see words blinking "pay your tax by july 31...", but no where u can see "get your refund by so and so date". These guys are fooling everyone. If you are not paying, they will come behind you bcoz u r not paying a few hundreds or thousands. But if you are not paying taxes of crores and crores, no one will be behind you... this is india.. shame on our country.
