This is to inform you that my PAN- AYOPS2194M refund cheque for the assessment year 2009-10 returned back due to wrong old address entry by the staff of local Income tax office. I’ve already received a refund for assessment year 2008-09 in my present address "9, BASEMENT, 5-R/4, GOVIND BHAWAN, N.I.T. FARIDABAD, HARYANA- 121001 (Ref. Income tax refund advice no-CMPP2369812 ) which is also mentioned as same for the assessment year 2008-09 SARAL form but this address had wrongly been entered in the system(H.NO. 55, GALI NO. 1, NEW INDRA COMPLEX NEHAR PAAR, FARIDABAD Pin-121002) due to which the cheque reached the old address and returned back .I’ve visited local Income Tax office at Kolkata several times and the staffs out there use to say again and again that the communication address has been modified. But on enquiry for the same both at SBI end and Income Tax office at Gurgaon is saying that the old address is still reflecting and status is ‘Party Shifted’.

I am really surprised that despite of providing the present address how come my old address being entered in the system while I’ve already received previous refund in the same address moreover the counterpart of SARAL kept at IT dept within the file is also found tampered with whitener ink. During the previous refund I suffered a lot due to wrong PAN entry and this time due to wrong communication address.
