Hi All,

i ordered a watch from bag it today.. subs of india today book club, wide order numbero 0GA[protected] for Rs. 299, had to wait long for the delivery, upon receiving the product found that, they have sent me a different product - I paid for the round dailed watch, which was displayed on their web page, received squared one.. more over it was broken, the hour and minute needles were hanging.. send mail reg the same and also called their pathetic customer care.. (have the chain mail at lest 20 of them), later as adviced by those genius agents, send it by courier which costed me 250 Rs. sent the scanned copy of the bill to them, again no response.. sent many mails.. they confirmed that they will replace the watch and refund the courier charges.. 4 months passed no response.. when you call their customer care.. after few mins of talking.. they hung up call on your face.. couple of times.. while i was speaking to them.. agent disconnected call.. who will stop these guys...

i still have all the chain mail.. it will be usefuly... in the consumer court.. just need to file complaint about these guyz... if somebody wants to face real night mare.. shop with bag it today....

Indian Today Book Club — Bad quality product

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have ordered one combo offer which was proposed by indian today book club.

Today i got the consignment.

The recived product is very bad in quality.

I have contacted customer care of the vendor and asked for sale retunr, but person has cleraly refused the request of return/replacement.

The given products are not looking like the proposed branded product and it is not possible to keep it.

Please help in getting my money back.

India Today Book Club — sending fake or rugh quality product

i have bought a package of a watch and gogle from india today book club. my order number is OGA[protected] and invoice number is ORA[protected]. The gogle which we recive is completely outdated or
is of rugh quality or is also not of that company which they promise us to send. And the watch is not working .we have pay amount of 1573 for this and we have got approximately nothing of this cost .plz take some action towards it, other wise we all loose our confidence in all such type of marketing . it is really very bad on part of such reputated company like india today.And plz send us any information regarding repayment of such fake product.

India Today — No response from the company

On 27th APR 2009, I ordered a diary of india today and i made payment through credit card but till today i have received anything except a mail of confirmation and claiming that they will give deliver with in 10 days. i am calling on the number they mentioned in the mail but no one receives the call. i wrote a reminder mail but there is no reply for that mail.I have not seen such a shameless team of people and not expected from a group like india today.

India Today Book Club — Defective Items Received & No response from Company

I had ordered a 4 CDs set from ITBC, and i was promised a free gift of watch with the order.
On receipt of the CDs I noticed that two of the CDs were damaged (scratches, leading to jumping of the tracks) as their cases were damaged. The third CD does not play on any of the Music Systems, although it plays on the PC (only). Further, i realsied that i have to claim the free gift separately (on the net) and for that I will have to wait for another four weeks.

I wrote twice to the company at the mail id provided on the product (on 15 Aug and 30 Aug 09), but have not yet heard from them. Further, i am yet to receive the free gift also.

Such insensitive behaviour from a group belonging to the esteemed 'India Today' is actually surprising. They need to be more responsive to customer complaints. when it comes to tele marketing, i receive so may calls from their call centre, but those personnel do not want to address the customer complaints !!

India Today Book Club — Non delivery of product/refund

I ordered Philips Home theatre on 4th July 09 ( order ID [protected]) with a committment of 15 days delivery period. After calling no. of times and writing mails , they had different excuses such as product was out of stock , there is system problem, packing problem and lastly that the product cannot be delivered at your registered address ( How they booked the product at my given address, they should first verify for the delivery service of their courier). Then I request for refund and they promised to refund the money in 21 days. Now I got a mail asking for the submission of scan copy of credit card statement showing the payment to them. How it is possible that without getting payment they had processed my order. Why they cannot check from their system. As now I does not have the statement, and requested to see at their end and refund my money. It seems this is a fake company and cheating the people. Its my humble request to the cunsumer forum to intervene and help me for the refund of Rs 7580/-. I had the worst experience with this company as the reply from their phone service is very casual and same all the time that you will get your product in next 7 days positively without going into actual facts. Please help.
I have reced a SMS from you stating that i should give complete details about me for Rs.6000000 sweepstakes to your no[protected], but i could not get the line. Hence what to do about that. Shall i give my particulars in this form. Please advise me acordingly.

India Today Book Club — received broken product

I had placed an order for Benetton Sunglasses. I recieved the product and made the payment. The membership number is ITBC09961722 and invoice number is 0RA[protected] dated 11th June 2009. When i opened the packing a glass was broken. I called customer care and they told me to send it back and they would send a new piece. I send the sunglasses back within 3-4 days but still havent recieved the replaced sunglasses. On calling the customer care number, everytime they say that the details have been not been updated, we will update the details and you will get the replaced sunglasses within 20 days but nothing has been done about it.

Hi,

Today at around 6 pm, I received my order... regret to inform, the moment I opened the package all the excitement i had about the india today group had broke... 2 reasons for the same..

1. I got a defective watch.. where the minute needle moves freely... (i.e. if the shake the watch the needle moves... other problem.. i am unable to reset the time... as the time set button doesn't work.. to summarize.. it doesn't look like a Reebok watch.. instead.. looks like a cheep quality watch (defective) which is sold on the road side for Rs 20.

2. the watch I received isn't the one I ordered. In your website the picture is shown for a Round dial watch.. the one i received is the square / rectangular one.

hence, requesting you to make necessary arrangements to pick up this defective watch and replace with a good and preferably round dial watch (which is shown in your website, by looking at it.. i ordered), if not please do refund my amount...


please treat this as urgent..

Hi,

thanx for your response. I also called your customer care department, they also suggested the same, (to return the product and the product will be replaced, and i will be given back the courier charges),

i sent the watch back wide blue dart courier yesterday (25th feb), dont have the scan copy of the bill now.. will send you the scanned copy of the bill asap.

Please do note that, I OPTED FOR THE ROUND DIAL WATCH, please do take of while you send the replacement, i dont want to be disappointed again.

as mentioned earlier.. will send you the scanned copy of the bill shortly. meanwhile wanted to know.. how the refund will happen (for the courier charge)..

today i got mail, stating my order was shipped back due to wrong address (nice way to communicate the receipt of wrong/damaged order), anyways got confirmation of receipt of it.

so, when will i get the watch ? Please do remember to ship the ROUND DIALED WATCH not the same squared one again.

i didnt expect such a childish reply from your end, wherin i clearly mentioned about the issue, informed you guys about the defective package and wrong item sent to me.

i do work for a corporate, and do understand the importance of replying to mail, NOW AFTER THIS MAIL, I HARDLY EXPECT ANY PROMPT REPSPONSE FROM YOU GUYS, I DID JOIN THIS CLUB WITH THE FAITH ON INDIA TODAY GROUP, NOW ITS SHATTERED...

Please go through the trail mail, I did order for the Round dialed Reebok watch, but received a damaged squared watch, as per the call and as directed in the mail, i have sent it back for replacement, i did pay 250 rupees and courier charges, also sent you the attachment, but now, i havent got any proper response you guys,

regret to say, as i lost my patience, this will be my final mail, as next course of action, i will lodge complaint with the consumer form, if i didnt get a proper reply within next 48 hours. let me also make it clear, this is not about the money, where i paid 299 for the item, and 250 for courier, this is about the poor customer experience and false assurance given by you guys.

any update on this ???

i must say that... this is the Worst Customer Experience of My life... delaing with you ppl.

after numreous phone calls... tons of mails... no action is taken..

when i call your support... explain the issue to tech... post asking for supervisor, , .. even after informing not to disconnect... YOU PPL DELIBARATELY DISCONNECT CALL... when you cant answer / resolve customer queries on phone... why do u ask us to call the number...

PLEASE MAKE A NOTE THAT THE MONEY IS SECONDARY... Rs. 550 surely wont make any difference in our day to day life... here the point is about THE TRUST / BRAND / THE PROMISE YOU MADE...

as i see that, lot of ppl complain about your compmany / product / service, I LOST HOPE COMPLETELY...

I DONT MIND SPENDING 10K ON A LAWYER BY TAKING THIS ISSUES TO CONSUMER FORM.

I NEED A MAIL CALL FROM A AUTHORISED PERSON, WHO CAN SHOW A RESOLUTION TO THIS ISSUES...

REMEMBER... I NEVER OPTED FOR FULL REFUND... I STILL LIKE TO GO FOR THE WATCH (ROUND) AND REFUND OF THE COURIER CHARGES...

JUST HOPING FOR A REPLY... NOT FROM THE PERVIOUS GUYS/AGENTS.. FOR A AUTHORIZED PERSON WHO CAN TAKE ACTION !!

India Today Book Club — Defective and incomplete product not replaced for the last 6 months

I had placed an order on bagittoday.com, order id[protected], artdinox 55 pc dinner set on 28/04/10. Billing Id:[protected] Date:[protected]:07:10.0 Mode of payment: Credit Card/Debit Card Total transaction amount: 6698.0 I received the courier on 03/05/10 and found out that 2 quarter plates were broken and 6 small bowls were missing. From that day till now I have send them 6 mails and made 12 phone calls. Initially they said that withing 15 days they would replace the product, In August twice they said (response center floor managers Aadil on 6th and Kapil on 14th) that the replacement has been approved and next three days the courier guy would come with the replacement. Now this month they are saying that they are out of stock therefore we cannot tell you by when the replacement would happen. Its been 6 months since the payment.
Same incidence with me too... Too bad service and really these are fake guys...
One thing I would like to say that there'll be always deceiving people.

As a corporate employee, u should know that how come u get a reebok watch for 299/- (this is the stupid add I have ever seen).

First of all, we should not bend down for all these stupid/time consuming promotions. We should treat such mails as spam.

I can surely say that you wasted lot of your valuable time concentrating on this issue...

Instead complaining...at least from now on wards beware of all such dirty promotion mails/adds (which are ruining the name of INDIA by keeping our country name).

Buddy, Thanks for updating on your views .. i got a mail today from Bag it today and i was offered a blackbarry 8860 at 5999 Rs only.. but before ordering it, i thought i should check first on google as honestly i didnt know much about bag it today.. and when i typed the word Bag it Today..i found the similar negative views on differnent forums .. and now i hav made up my mind to not to buy any product from any online shopping portal until u r confident.. thanks for sharing your experience and saving me
i send a mail saying that i dont want the product as there is no warranty.without company's warranty, any product can be treated as fake n not authentic.still, i get mail about the product that it will be reaching soon to you.kindly stop sending me mail as i dont want your product.
it really sucks, after waiting for about a month i come to know that due to your "technical error" AS SAID BY THE AGENT. it will take some more days to reach the parcel...

i pray everything goes well, but no more buying from "bag it today"...watch out ...
