[Resolved]  India Today Book Club — www.bookstoday.in/promos..htm does not exist

I had placed an order for 12CDS of Encyclopedia Britannica & Discover, which promised Free Reebok Tracksuit & and a holiday voucher/coupon for 3days/2nights stay with veg meals for a couple for Rs.2499/- (incl. Rs.500/-) handling charges on Jan., 17th 2009. I have received the 12CDS and Reebok Tracksuit but not the holiday voucher as mentioned. Instead the Invoice mentions that to claim the free holiday voucher gift we have to log on to www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm within 60days of the invoice date but to my surprise the said site does not exist. When the remittance was already credited to India Today Book Club, why the Holiday Voucher was not send alongwith the CD & Tracksuit. In this scenario, if you are not able to log on to the site, one is sure to loose the holiday voucher. This simply seems to be an eyewash. There are already 637 complaints against this company. Has the company ever thought how this in turn going to affect the reputation of the company? It's one kind of cheating.

You are requested to look into the matter on priority basis, otherwise the matter will be put forward to Consumer Forum, media coverage and definately it's going to affect the reputation.

I ORDERED BENETTON SUNGLASS, FORM INTERNET JUST BECAUSE OF BENETTON AND INDIA TODAY. BUT I RECEIVED VERY BAD PRODUCT FROM THE COMPANY. PRODUCT IS SHOWN TO ME IS NOT SAME AS I ORDERED FROM PICTURE. WHICH WAS IN GREEN GLASS AND GOOD FRAME, AND I ALSO RECEIVED THE INVOICE WRITTEN GREEN GLASS, BUT I RECEIVED IN BLACK AND VERY BAD FRAME. I ATTACH THE PICTURE OF BOTH PLEASE CHECK AND SOLVE THIS PROBLEM URGENT. MY COMPLAINT NUMBER IS 115475 IN INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB.

Ihave ordered a pack of 16 CD and received by VPP against invoice no.ORA[protected], order no OGA[protected] ON APRIL 5TH 2009 . But till date the free gift as assured by you not received. Please look into the matter.
I had order on ITBC 13/5/2009. and I am told to sale exitive that it confim me holiday with in 25/5/2009 he said Yes its confim with in 10 days but when I recive voucher no they told when you recive promotional code (Revice with 10-20 days) then your confim my booking, I vist resort-store.com and to book call [protected] no not working.and I am shore when I have revied my poromotional id then no booking available in resorts between (1/6/2009-15/7/2009). its all are froad case. Pls send my money back !

This India today is a fraud company.Please donot buy any items from them.They are doing it purposely.Many complaints are registered against them.But no one is interested in going up with the the cases as it consumes time.

I had placed an order with india today book club for books worth Rs. 5196 in two sets (Rs 2598 per set ) with which they promised me to deliver a holiday voucher coupon for 3days/2nights stay with veg meals for a couple with return Air fare . I have received the books as told but without any holiday voucher ...Infact we were tolds in case we dont receive we have to log on the website www.bookstoday.in/promos.htm with our special offer no to claim for the offer ...But thatr site seem to a big fraud as it says it doesnot exist ...as it can be seen from the above complaints that Someone is misusing the name of india today & befoooling the people ...

I request you to kindly take necessary step against this fraud & let us know how we can get back our money.

India Today Book Club/ Reebok Tracksuit — Non Delivery of the product affter 3 months of the 100% payment in advance

Dear Sir/madam,

This with reference to the purchase made from M/s India Today bookclub for purchase of Reebok Tracksuit - cost Rs 1099/- paid by credit card on 5th April-2009, (HSBC Credit card). The order was booked on Phone after failure while booking through Internet.

Indiatoday ref No. ITBC 0998709 ( as per Indiatoday bookclub).

In last 2 months i have sent some where 20-25 mails and made several calls to the customer care dept of Indiatodaybook club (STD Calls). Every call or mail they respond with the same problem that, the courier was misplaced and matter has been sent to concerned department and will be resolve in few days. and this i am hearing since last two months. Even I have spoken to two supervisor who all except the fault and apologizes but no action till date. After paying in advance full payment and making calls worth Rs200- 250, there is no response on the supply.

I have all proofs of payment made, mail correspondence and Phone bill statement for the calls i have made to customer care dept.

Now these people are harassing me politely and there in no ethics and commitments.

I kindly request you to let me know the procedure to tackle the issue and the method to get the material.

India Today Book Club — Not recieving my free reebok shoe for the past 8 months.

My name is Sachin Hembram & I had ordered a DVD set of Agatha Cristhie for Rs 2598.00 on[protected] with which there were 2 complimentary free gifts
1- A round trip ticket
&
2- A free Reebok sports shoe
The order was delivered but when it came to free gifts it took 2 months for the form of the round trip ticket to be given & the Reebok sports shoe still has not been delivered for 8 months & a few days before they gave a wrong conssignment no. that they say has been processed through Blue Dart courier service on 24th June, 2009.So please contact them & give my Reebok Shoe.
