I too had booked an order ( No 0GA[protected] dated 24.03.09) but he Ray Bon Sun Glass not sent with the CD.
The company is a cheat. We should go to Consumer Court.

cd — Cheating and non receipt of free gift

I had taken delivery of 8 CD pack parcel, on 7.05.2009. On the pack it was clearly written in bold letters that the free gift “Bestseller Pack+ Reebok T-shirt +Adidas bag” offer inside. When I opened the pack in presence of currier agent the gift was not found. I also contacted over the phone[protected] and Mr. Arvindra ( India Today Book Club) call on this phone. Mr. Arvind then advise me to collect the gift log on the web-site and enter the unique no. provided on invoice. When i tried to lodge my claim for offered free gifts on their given web http:// offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/, it was not available. Thus it is case of cheating (i) Despite written on pack that the free gift inside which prompted to take the delivery, was not found (ii) The condition of collecting free gift was not told while placing the order (iii) The web site is also seems false. When I told to Mr. Arvindra that I was lodge the complaint, he shows disrespect to the court of land.

I have sent the application form for free air ticket against the following reference:

But till date I have not received free air ticket as promised by you.

Today I have received vide their invoice no.OGA[protected] only the CD's, whereas all other things as promised have not been received.

On speaking to them they have informed to log on their website bookstoday.in/promos.htm and claim free gifts by mentioning the unique identification number.

Unfortunately after trying several times it is not being logged and shows error in the identification number.

ITBC have failed in their commitments and have failed to deliver the freebies and now are giving excuse of logging on their sites for claiming the gifts. It is misleading and people are fooled after they have made the payment.

The matter is to be taken up seriously with them and ensure they fulfil their committments or pay the money back to me alonwith penalty and fine so that such things are not repeated in future.

music cds — non receipt of free gift

i had ordered 8cds for rs 999/- got the delivery of the cds but the free gifts have not come, called the help line they said that we have to log on the site and enroll, the site doesnt open and neither can i get through on the help line.
why is such a big company taking people for a ride, its simply shocking i have already complained once giving the details to no avail
