India Today Book Club — incomplete delivery of products

hello this is k.shekharbabu , i have ordered rebok product through india today book club. Indiatoday book club has given advertisement on eenadu paper about rebok products ,only by paying 2999/- five rebok items you will get. i recieved the above given parcel , but above the parcel the mentioned five rebok items , but inside the box only two items are there.

India Today Book Club — gold box win offer

Today morning at 11 A.m. i have call from india today (bag it today).and their person told me that in past 1 month you purchase 1 product form us that base you are selected for gold box win and he is told me that in gold box you can win 2,00,000 min. and 2,40,000 maxm. they not clear thing to us that in this box they give only gift vouchers to us they told me that cash prize you can win and you have to pay 2392 fo this and also you want to purchase one product this product value is 17699 so, total cost is 20091. then we open gold box and our person told you that what you win either you win cash prize or gold of 2,00,000 value.but when i pay 20091 by cridet card then their person open gold box and tell me that you win 42 voucher of 5000 each of surat dimoand. they are cheat with us they have not clear that they can give this type of raskal thing.


What is the smart wroking they do with us.i decide that i personaly go in court with this cheating.i m not accept this thing.

This is as there customer care always tell different different responses. This is purely fraud company and consumers are being fooled at every purchase.

I have been cheated like thousands others , surprisingly they are robbing people in broad day light and seems nothing can be done.
I have ordered Benten Sunglasses last year (May-June 2009), which has been delivered broken.
I returned the material back to them which they refused to accept and returned it.
When complained they asked to send again, I sent it back again.
From then I have written them hundreds of mails requesting resolution of my complain and I am getiing following responses alternativily :

1. Please wait for few more days. (I have been waiting for more than 1 year)
2. Your complain has been forwarded to concerned department ( A thousand times)

I wonder how they can do this and get away. I have wasted huge amount of money and time calling /complaing them, but no results at all.

I wonder how they can do this to people and get away, they are worse than petty thieves. I have complained in this forum about same before also, but there was no response.

I request people to not to get lured by there offers, they are cheats. In other offer they promised me free holiday which I never received. They promise big brands names, I am sure they are sending sub standard products (if they decide to send at all ) using brand names, and they cheat on name of free gifts. Please stay away from them , if you really want to purchase something , its better to use ebay or similar on line e-trading portals.

I had ordered for 'History of the world " along with other books from India Today Book Club( Bag it today) in November '09 and and paid and advance amount in January 2010,

Till date I have not received the ordered material.

I have written several emails and and every time I get the the reply - "we would like to inform you that we have already forwarded your complain to our concerned department and we are following the matter with them. We request you to kindly wait for few days. We will do the needful soon"

The customer support division of India today is the most unprofessional and rude in the country and they dont understand the issues and tell that material will be despacteh in 10-12 days.

It has been very frustrating experience with India today. Pls help

India Today Book Club — false holiday offer

india today book club has offered free holiday vouchers with Rs.7000/- free air ticket with their purchase.but the offer is a fraud .on enquiry their sites also not exist.

India Today Book Club — non refund of duplicate order

i had ordered reebok fitness on the offer given by ITBC through email. i tried to order the kit online but the transaction was not completed online due to internet problem. after that i received call to complete the transaction through tele sales. again after that i got sms to confirm the the transaction.which i did but i doubted repetition of order and immediately called up india today book club and was assured that order will not be duplicated but to my horror i received 2 parcels which confirmed duplication and amount for both was debited against my credit card. i contacted ITBC and was told to return one parcel which i did without taking delivery.i was assured refund in 6 weeks . order was placed on 28 apr 2009, 2 parcels received on 14 may 2009, 01 parcel returned on same day. till date no refund received. details send by post not responded. mails answered till mar 2010.last tele complaint on 05 apr 10 was rudely replied asking me to go ahead with whatever i felt was right.legal notice served on 01 jun 2010 not responded.finally compelled to file a case in consumer forum.case filed in consumer forum on 01 jul 2010. legal proceedings under progress. details of order are:activity id- tele salesdespatch no: 3113invoice no : ORA[protected]courire docket no : ZD 5590079membership no : ITBC 095790booking id :[protected] tele complaint reference: no 7691 on 05 apr 2010 no 550997 on 08 jul 2010 complainant -- maj ajit kasodekar. advertisement against ITBC being published shortly in national dailies on legal advise.

My refund is not yet i get i call IBTC so many times even i mailed but they telling wait for few days
i called them from 12th april and now it 7 july today also they telling wait, sir please help me, and get my refund to me eary.

I sent cheque for promotional offer of Reebok kits . Cheq of about Rs3300 encashed in May 10. Despite FALSE promises that the parcel has been sent , I have not received it. On dated 10/03/10 i received a call from India Today Book Club(Ph No: [protected],person Sanjeev Verma)and He told me that you have won Rs/- 160000/-, as you are old customer of India Today book club but for this you have to shop for Rs/- 24000/- which is minimum qualifying amount for you. He assured me that if i shop for 24000/- I will get my winning amount up to 30th June 2010 positively.as i trusted India Today so I agreeed and he told me that other person will call you shortly for shopping. This is one of the fraud companies in India. They are simply misusing the name of India today group, they use to do Fraud transaction through credit card and when member request them to refund the money ,they refund the money after 4 to 5 month . I am a victim of such issue .
