[Resolved]  India Today Book Club — Not able to avail the holiday voucher package promised by them

I paid Rs 574 for an offer which included india today subscripton for 1 year + 3 cds + adidas bag + holiday voucher... of which i received only bag & cds...I got the unique number through calling them, but theirwebiste doesnt work from where I can claim My Gift. these customer care people are of no use. I am shouting on them for last 50 days, but they are deaf. they are just cheating people. I have written them mail with full details, but no use & no reply. If you have the details, you can calim gifts onthis website, for me this doesnt work

ihave received sms on 3-7-2008 but not received gift voucherand bag

I just e mail the indiatodaybookclub as to know how do i proceed to get my free gift voucher, after reading all this i hope i get my gift

Exactly the same thing happened to me. Nowonwards I am not going to accept of their VPP orders

Unfair Practices of your Book Club

I have paid a sum of Rs. 2000 based on your attached notification for A FREE deluxe Family Holiday was promised as part of the offer as outlined there.

A few outdated CDs were received without any documents or invoice or any clue as to how to obtain the holiday voucher.

Later on, as no any such offer was received, I contacted your Delhi number # 40502424 and took an ITBC number, from your delhi office telephonically, and printed the holiday voucher. To my surprise, I realised that it was mere cheating as you then demanded a payment of Rs 800/- towards charges.Though unwillingly, and in disgust over such conning practices, which is unbecoming of any respectable organisation, I had sent the required documents and voucher copy alongwith the payment drawn on a local bank.

Today when I called up, @ +[protected], as nothing was heard from you, the entire set of documents were I understand returned to me on some flimsy grounds. But the said courier has so far not reached me and obviously therefore, somebody at your end is at fault and all this amounts to deficiency in service and cheating.

You are therefore requested to take away your CDs and refund the money collected from me immediately to avoid further unpleasant and infructuous correspondence, and other actions or else, the Holiday as outlined by me be materialised on priority. I am attaching a copy of the holiday voucher as ready reference.

i have also cheated many times.because i have ordered many books and got books but gift items are very low grade.books are also.gifts are not to mark the quality and taking lot of money fr vpp charges.who that tell that book club is good site?????????i don't agrree this.my openion book today club is mother website and and i wasted more than 5000 rs to get holiday package but not a single gift i got fr last 1 month.
