paid rs 600 for 3cds+adidas bag +holiday offer.all i got was three corrupted cds showed incodec error when i tried to install for the first time.so returned the cds got replacement.do my utter disbelief these cds also had same prblem( may be they have sent back the same one).when i tried to install it showed incodec error & my system crashed.then reformated my system.after scanning the disk by spyware found there are TROJAN TYPE VIRUS.NOW HAVING USELESS ADIDAS BAG @ RS 600.NOT ABLE TO AVAIL HOLIDAY OFFER ALSO...

I had gone through all comments posted by various senders I don't believe such since Times of India Group is very prestigious and valued organisation. I would like to clarify that on today 26.12.2008 there was an advertisement that on booking 16 cd pack of Rs.1999/- plus 500/- handling charges there is free gift offer of two.1. 3 days 2 nights free stay for a couple at exoitic location and 2. Beneton track suit. My only question is it completely free as claimed by India times book club or some amount will be charged ? I am not at all sure.The same can be confirmed after receiving voucher.

If any one in India today is listening, it will be great service to the company and constomers if they can clarify the intent and the gift scheme which is running.

Further the scheme seems somewhat illogical commercially. They are offering air return tickets + set of books + 1 year subsc + holiday package . All of this for <2000??? Wonder if India today also invested in stock exchange 1 2 ka 4 scheme.

India Today book club is a BIG FRAUD Company.
I didnt recv my order from two months
i did 1000 calls and mailed to them so many times ultimately they despatched the order.
call centre is the worst and i have never seen these kind of people.
Now they are not giving free gifts
CBI or COnsumer Court should look into alls complaint and should take action to aresst these people.

I have paid Rs. 700 & odd for the Reebok shoes discount offer. But yet I have not received the shoes.

I too agree with you all, I paid Rs 2729 including postage(VPP), I received 20 CDs for Bajan, No other any Exiting gifts, after repeated enquiries they given some web address (Promos), I logged in, I got some free travels coupon, have to pay Rs 800+ identity card+ postage
But, now I afraid to do that further cheating,
till now i was not receipt my Reebok shoes+ other gifts

India Today Book Club — My Offer Package not delivered

Hi,

These guys called me for a offer where I was to get CD's, Reebok shoe & a holiday voucher. My membership number is ITBC08760119 . And order number 0GA[protected].
As per the offer my credit card was charged aproxx 2400 Rs in Nov 08. Till today I did not get the delivery that I was supposed to get in 10 days.
Also there customer service is really bad. they don't respond properly to my issues.

indiatodaybookclub — fraudulant schemes

Recently (about a month back) I got a call from Indiatodaybook club and they told me that I am one of the lucky winners of an offer from them in which I have to pay an amount of Rs. 2598/- for 7 DVDs of Agatha Christie Detectives and would get free gift worth Rs. 12, 000/-. I was given an offer to pay through credit card, which was to be done through their IVR. Now they claim that I have not placed an order. Though I have not received any credit card statement for payment nor has my account been debited, I am afraid the credit card details could be misused. Please take action against this organisation for cheating people by falsly offering them gifts.

I have received another mail today in which I am being offer reebok shoes and track suits worth Rs. 8, 000/- on payment of Rs. 4, 000/-. If no action is taken against them they will continue to fool people endlessly.

I have paid VPP, 499 + charges(order No. MITBC-WEB[protected]. The cap and travel voucher was not inside the box delivered to me. When contacted, they advised to pay again for cap and voucher. It is a trap..and trap, until you giveup.

Please circulate the message to all your firends/contacts to avoid them getting in to such trap.

India Today Book Club — Not received Shoes and Airfare Voucher

In mid November I got call fro India today Book club for buying CDS along with that I am going to get Rebook shoes they took size and everything They send CDS with taht they had given me the website to confirm my shoes and Air fare voucher and some other stuff. Bu site was under construction for around a month. When I could logged in to the site . There it shows totally different vouchers where there to have those Voucher I have to pay some Thousands o0Rupees extra. Not even replying to my e-mail.

I am unable to understand why a reputable magzine like India Today indulge itself in such a fraud. If I would have found this information earlier then my Rs.2350/- would have been saved. I was promised 20 CDs pack+Reebok Shoe+Rs.5000/- Diamond Voucher+Holiday Voucher on[protected]. After one month I received 20 CDs pack. On entering unique number I was offered only holiday voucher+return air ticket. There was no mention of Reebok Shoe or Diamond voucher. I contacted them, they told me there is some problem with the website, it will be sorted in one week. After one week the story didn't change. Then I sent an e-mail. They e-mailed me one link for diamond voucher and asked for my shoe number. The link didnot work and shoe is yet to reach me. Then two week ago I contacted Delhi office, now I am told that Diamond voucher is for crdit card payment only(I paid cash through VPP). I have sent the registration e-mail for holiday voucher but they have not responded in any manner. I would like to spread the message that please please don't fall prey to these cheaters.
