[Resolved]  India Today Book Club — Unable to open the site to claim free Jewellery Voucher.

My membership # ITBC98434440 & I had paid Rs. 699.00 against India Today Book Club Invoice # ORA[protected] dated 27 Jun 2008. As per their Flier, I am supposed to get a free Surat Diamonds Gift Voucher worth Rs.5, 000.00 & a Tupperware Classic Lunch Box worth Rs. 330.00.

I am staying in Visakhapatnam and have called up the company over phone #[protected]. Every time somebody tells me to log onto www.offers.indiatodaybookclub.com/greatoffer.htm & redeem the Vouchers.

Been trying for last 15 days but everytime I get the message on google.com that the site I am looking for does not exist.

Please advise how to resolve this problem. I make an STD call to Delhi only to be told to log onto a non-existent site.

Are they trying to fool the public ?

Just this morning I got a SMS stating that another of their packages offering a Holiday-cum-Adidas Shoes offer-cum-free Adidas Bag has been sent to my address. Until they resolve my pending problem, I have decided to not to accept any further packages from India Today Book Club.

India Today Book Club is one big farce. I ordered a pack of three CDs of Pt. Ravishankar, Ustaad Zakir Hussain and Shri HAriprasad Chaurasia, deciding to pay on delivery. THe apck did come but there were two CD's, same ones, of Pt. Ravishankar and one o[censored]staad Zakir HUssain. I tried calling[protected], after IVRS, there was no one to answer the calls. I kept listening to the music.
I had also ordered a reebok track suit for 1099.00 pay on delivery. I did get a polyester track suit but it looks as if it is fake (may be its not). reebok is written on the track but the insigia is missing. moreover, i purchased a better track from reebok for 3000 than the one i got which ITBC claimed was for 3999.00 (there was a tag also on the track!!!)
Much before, when I had registered for the membership, i didnot avail the offer to purchase something. Surprisingly, I received a note from the post office about a VPP for Rs. 500 in my name. Anyway, I didnot receive it as i thought i was being duped unnecessarily.
moral of the story: If you think of ordering something, pl. do so on pay on delivery basis, at least you get something! why not think of going to the nearby shop and buying when u have an option???

Yesterday ( 3rd June 2009 ) I reveived a letter from The India Today Group stating me as a winner of Rs.60 Lacs Sweepstakes Draw ( Prize: India Today Book Club Prizes ), asking me to furnish an ID Proff & an Address Proof to claim my winnings. The letter also has their web site printed www.indi-today.com.

Having a doubt about this, I tried to check the web site, but to my suprice this site does not open, even if it does, it shows me a lits of site stating that this is a fake. So here i m, posting my contribution to this raket.

The letter also has thier addess & cobtact numbers. Hope the concerned authorities can take a proper action.

I got the kodak camera but i have found out that i'm getting the same camera for Rs. 5450 along with 2 GB card + Cover case+ charger(worth Rs.1600 free) in my city town.and my grievences abt free gift offers are...

I always like to do online shopping with India Today Book Club because of its great deals on online purchases that I can’t find in the shops.This site really has a great collection of products. Here, prices are reasonable, good customer service and fast delivery. Overall, Superb website!
I had bought many books and CDs from India Today Book Club. I like the fact that their customer care is very helpful. For any kind of information one can usually dial their customer care number at[protected] or by sending an email at [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com.
I paid Rs. 3199/- thru my Credit Card to ITBC in May 2009 wherein I was informed about the membership No. ITBC09992216 that the consignment bearing ED[protected]IN has been dispatched through Speed Post. After tracking the position on Speed Post website no such number could be traced. Its now, almost 2 years past I have not received my consignment. After frequent follow-ups I could understand that ITBC, being promoted by India Today Group, one of the premier News Media, is totally out of reach of common man, whatsoever may be the cause. These media people has all rights to conduct sting operations against all frauds and corruptions outside, ignoring the degree of such frauds within themselves. Who will bell the CAT?????

Finally, I feel cheated by India Today fraternity, who I did believed to be very clean and honest.
