I am resident of gwalior madhya pradesh sir i have done my schooling and now after 2 years of schooling recently i got a job in los angles as a photographer in cruise liner so i need a passport so for urjent passport i completed all the formalties which is required under tatkal today i was in Q since morning 6 a clock sir and after that they said for residence proff .. sir i already attched my ration card, my electric city bill, teelephone bill, driving licenese and bank account and the statement of 18 months statement .. and annexure F & I also
sir 12 september any how i have to submit my passport for USA visa .. and bhopal passport officer MR.R.A Dhone is very bad ...he treats applicants like a ... and used bad words (which is not at all right as per INDIAN LAW) what i have to do in this case kindly suggest me .

I applied for passport on[protected] and my file No-H010792.police verification has been done positively and i am sure police report has been sent to your office. When I check my passport status on the computer it shown everything accept status is blank. What is meaning I couldn't able to understand? Please tell me in this regard.

But the Online Status enquiry at http://passport.tn.nic.in is saying as "Police verification not received"

I had applied for Passport under Tatkal option (File no – C010763/07) to the Bangalore Post Office. There is no Passport Office in Mangalore & I have travelled to Bangalore many times to track my Passport status. All my documents were processed and stamped by the Assistant Passport Officer on 24th Oct '08. I had paid the tatkal fee & have a receipt authorizing the same. I was informed that my Passport would reach my residential address in Mangalore latest by 31st October '08.
I have not yet received any update on the status of my passport. The passport has not yet been despatched from Bangalore (the online status shows the same status for the last one year). I have contacted the Post Office multiple times and have been informed that there is no update. Under tatkal scheme, isnt the Passport supposed to be issued in 3 days? It has now been 10 days! It is a critical need for my organization that I travel overseas in 2 weeks.
I request your urgent intervention to resolve this issue. Your support will be greatly appreciated by me & my organization.

My Father's name is"Sunil Chandra Biswas".Address "Vill- Jashra, Post Office- Chakdaha, Police Station-Chakdaha, Dist.-Nadia, West Bengal.The application REG_SLNO: 6990 and Receipt No. 117979. I have applied for renewal of my passport at Newyork Consulate on August 10th 2009 and they told me receive the passport on August 17th 2009. I went there to receive it and they said for some reason my passport is withheld. I dont know the reason . I am on H4 visa and my I 95 will expire on October 10th 2009.

I applied for a new passport (as my 10 year validity will expire ) at CGI NY in person on 10/02/2009., CGINY needs to get clearance from India (Srinagar) so that these guys can give me a new passport.
Long story short, the customer service people at CGINY are not quite helpful in getting me the information. These guys don't really know what is going on with my application. I could get some info from India. When I got my passport for the first time (Srinagar), the records were not computerized and so, these guys at CGINY don’t have any information about my passport records.
Passport offices in India will get a request for clearance from abroad if anyone applies for renewal (and the applying person's records are not computerized) and Indian office has to verify the records and send the clearance. It has been close to 2 months CGINY doesn't want to give me any time line.
The funny thing is, whenever I call CGINY to request status, they always ask not received clearance from Srinagar passport office. I am not sure why these people can't give out the info. Also, for every call, they ask me whether my status is legal in US or not. I have my VISA stamped until 2011.
Has anyone experienced similar stuff? If so, how long did it take to get the passport? Will CGINY people call when the passport is ready or do we have to keep calling them to get status info?
