[Resolved]  Indian Railway — REFUND OF FARE IN CASE OF TRAIN CANCELLATION

The Railway Minister

I have not received the refund in case of train cancellation even after 18 month of continuous follow ups. Trail mail of follow ups is self explanatory. Each time I am getting the same respnse that they have given reminder and credit will be given after confirmation.

tickets in case of Train Cancellation. This is not the case of ticket
cancellation which required detail verification. Train cancellation
detail was available with all the department and you people are simply
harrasing the customers.

process. Railways will check all the matters and
decide what amount should be refunded and this all
process takes 90 days or more. Once the railways

Dear Madam,

This is to inform you that I have purchased these waitlisted
tickets(PNR No:[protected])for my family members but after chart
preparation, it was showing out of six tickets only two tickets has been confirmed so we have decided to postponed this journey.I have filled TDR on 26/12/2009(Reference No:ekt[protected])but already three months over, so far I have not received any positive response either from IRCTC or railway authorities and your online TDR status still showing "Forwarded To Railway".

I had already informed IRCTC several times regarding this problem but they were informed me that "Refund under this category is processed by the railways under the present commercial rules and this process takes minimum 90 days or more".For your information, three months over after the TDR filled(26/12/20009) and now they were informed me that it will takes minimum 90 days or more.

So, I am requesting you please go through this mail and do the needful at your end.Please treat as urgent and revert back to me at the earliest.
