[Resolved]  Indian Railways — VERY BAD SIDE OF INDIAN RAILWAYS

Dear Sir,
My native place is Nagercoil ,Kanyakumari District. I am working at Coimbatore. From the last railway budjet our honarable railway minister Thiru.Lalu anaunced Coimbatore - Nagercoil Express Daily night Train. Immediately southern railway anaunced Train Number,Train Timing,Train Fair.Around 10 months left.So for train running date not anaonced.Around 50% of the total population of coimbatore is south tamilnadu people. They are doing business and jobs at Coimbatore.But so for no night train to south tamilnadu. But new and new omni buses are introduced with high travel ticket fare.In coimbatore ,so many meetings and fightings were conducted. But no use. Please look in this .

Angadippuram Railway Station Revenue must be not bad for the present time to Railway Business in India. 10 trains passing through the station between Shornur and Nilambur. Most of the People from Perintalmanna, Malappuram, Manjeri used to travel this station without any problem to anywhere in the India.

But the Counter for ticket is too small and two personnel sitting to issue the ticket always getting delay to the passenger even most of the time train leaves the platform and passenger running with ticket or without the ticket.

Better develop the ticket counter area and place more staff for ticketing and minimise the long long troubled this situation in that railway station.

This is to inform you, we frequently travel by train, my family (my husband, my kid 9 year old and brother and his freind) were traveling to Amritsar dated 31st May, 2008 by Golden temple to Amritsar by 2AC from Mumbai, we had ordered lunch on 01 June, 2008, in lunch we found a dead cockroach in food, which was pathetic surprising. When we had requested for a complaint book the service boy denied to provide that. He took luch and breakfast money and left.

Is their any other way to complaint such kind of incidents, We expect for a long journey atleast the quality of food should be good.

Saurashtra Janta Express — Worst Sleeper Coach

Saurashtra Janta Express towards Jamnagar-Mumbai-Jamnagar sleeper coaches are worst. It seems they are never cleaned. You can find mosquito, insects, mouse etc during your entire journey. It would be highly appreciated if certain action is taken on this.

It may be appreciated that only one train runs between Madurai and Bangalore i.e., 6732 Tuticorin Exp and on its return 6731 Mys Exp. SImilarly between Tajore / Trichy and Blore only Mayiladuthurai exp runs. (6231 and 6232)

First of all getting ticket in these trains has become next to impossible. Either Railway shall increase the number of Coaches (say till S13 / S14 like in KK express) or introduce more trains between these destinations. Out of which increasing the Coaches will be easier option. Because now only S9 is the Max coach available in 6732 / 6731 if railway can add 5 more bogies which in deed increases capacity by almost 60%.

Further once they leave Blore Cantt next these trains stop only at Hosur and vice versa in between the train crosses almost whole of East Bangalore and South Bangalore where more of our IT / ITe Service people stays who forced to come to Cantt / City stations. Instead if the trains stops at Byappanahalli and Sarjapur Road stations which will ease lot of problems to people who stays in these localities. Especially for Trichy bound people they are forced to take one hour permission / half day leave to catch the train. If railway introduces these stations and stop for 2 min lot of Man Power as well as auto / taxi charges shall be saved.

Kindly intimate us whom to contact in this regard and if required we will run a "Signature Campaign" among all the people who are struggling due to the Chronic Issues.

Dear Sir,
I have lost my money bag at new Delhi railway station while entering into KArnataka Expres on[protected] at 9-30PM. Since the train arrive to the platform late, every was trying to enter the train. It was heavy rush. Some body has taken my purse . I have lost worth of Rs[protected]/ . I have done FIR, filled the form and handed over TTE and Manmad Railstation. I have given complain to Manmad Rail police. Kindly take action and arrange to pay me the compensation as it all happened due to late arrival of train at New Delhi RAil sation.
Railway administration should keep tower security point in all Railway station in India so that they can keep eyes on whole area
of Railway station.

Dear Sir

I would like to bring to your notice the sufferings of the RESERVED TICKET holders in the train ML50, which departed from NCJ to Melmaruvathur on January 18, 2008.

My PNR #[protected]. The tickets got confirmed by 11.30 hrs. on Jan. 18, 2008. We were allotted S4 55 & 63. We boarded the train, there started our mental strain. One Melmaruvathur devotee came with a TTE in NCJ, to check my ticket; the TTE confirmed our seats in S4. Even after that also, they were not satisfied.

We came to know thro one of the passengers named Mr. Rajendran, a lawyer that the train was booked only for Melmaruvathur devotees by paying Rs.700000/- (Rupees seven lakhs) and not for any other passengers. Later whoever crossed, questioned and checked our tickets and started arguing till Madurai (22.00 hrs.). More than 20 devotees would have questioned and argued with us for nearly eight and a half hours. One co-passenger Mr. Sivarajan suffered a lot, he was even pulled by one of the devotees from his allotted seat.

The entire journey was full of mental agony. Nearly 15 devotees sat in each and every cabin of S4, which was more congesting than unreserved. There were two types of coupons among the devotees. “Berth coupons” and “Ordinary coupons”, Though the devotees had “ordinary coupons” they were in this S4 compartment only.

Later boarded at Tirunelveli an old lady aged 75 and her son of 52 yrs. There both were pulled out of their seats by a few devotees and was allowed only to sit the entire journey till TPJ, though they both have confirmed seats. There were no TTE or RPF to rescue the old people. It was much worse.

At Madurai Junction a few of the reserved passengers were not allowed to enter into S5, they were man-handled by the devotees. I am not sure, whether they were allowed to enter into the compartment or not.

Problems might have been solved or even not raised, if
a. The entire train ML50 was allotted only to Melmaruvethur devotees (or)
b. The train was not listed for the public to book tickets (or)
c. Proper instruction would have given to the Melmaruvathur representatives as other reserved tickets were also allotted (or)
d. Any TTE or RPF is there for the rescue

None of the above instructions were given to them, and so, it added fuel to the issue of fire.

The purpose of mailing the above mentioned sufferings might be for your attention and necessary reaction. It would definitely help to protect the passengers in future, if the problems were rectified.

Indian Railways — Worst behaviour of attendant and TTE

I with my family were travelling by Jammu Tawi Express (Train No 2472) in Coach No B4, Seat Nos. 50, 51, 53, 54, 56 on date 28/03/09 from Jammu to Kota.
My coach attendent Mr Shashi Shekhar was worst attendent I have ever seen. His behaviour to me and other copassengers was like that he is a relative of Lalooji. Despite little kids travelling with us, he did not provide us Bedsheets, pillows etc. till New Delhi. After New Delhi, he provided us stinking bedsheets, pillows and blankets which were unwashed for several days.Which were unable to use. When we tried to lodge a formal complaiint, he said talk to TTE. I talked to TTE, who was minting money by allotting tickets to unconfirmed outside passengers, he said that he is too busy and cannot give complaint register to me. TT name is Mr Sohan Lal Sharma.He also said that your complaint will be thrown in dustbin as always.

Other copassengers who were frequent in the train said that this is a routine practice in this coach and this duo of Mr Shashi Shekhar and Sohan Lal Shekhar is taking passengers for granted.

Complaint: Regarding incident happened in intercity train (Bangalore-Ernakulum) near Coimbatore on[protected] around 13:00 hrs @ S5 coach..

A lady special checking officer got in to the train @ siganallur (Coimbatore), she asked the ticket with my wife, she showed the E-ticket & a color Xerox laminated ID proof as a identity, but she disagreed the duplicate ID & asked for a fine of 410 Rs, finally she collect Rs 300 considering as without ticket travel & important is she collected the Xerox copy of E-ticket.

My Q?
Why TTR allowed the Xerox, he don’t have right to collect the ticket? He knows the genuineness of the person….

Why the special officer is there, they don’t have work so they are rechecking the ticket which has already checked by TTR? Are railway people don’t be live their TTR’s?

Why she wrote without ticket & collected the Xerox copy without returning?

On what basis she reduced the amount by 410 to 300? What, pocket money aa?

Or she wants give the account saying that she wants to catch hold these many peoples per day? Hope some rule will be there in Railway department is it so?

One thing you know? I lost my PAN card which I kept in my valet while travelling in the same train; I know the difficulty how I got duplicate of the same? So we prefer to keep a color Xerox with lamination, but you people’s rules & regulation makes the people to hate railway department, now I hated your railway department.

If possible please answer my questions for my satisfaction, we are middle class people we know the value of 300 Rs…

I along with my friend Board general compartment in Trivendrum-Gwahati super fast train, from
Balasore to Howrah having ticket No-4290, 4291.cost paid-Rs140. But with great resentment to say that
T T E( namely T.R.Ghosh)& his colleagues detained us by saying, it's a 480km restricted train,
Why you board it ? & demand penalty charge from us.When we denied them by saying no T T E either in
Balasore station or in train not restricted us to board this train then why we people are harresing &wasting
our valuable time but one of the T T E, Mr.T.R.Ghosh forcefuly snatch Rs-1000 from us, Since we are in hurry
to attain a patient, we are not able to lodge complain in Howrah stn.But we ask T T E, RPF& ENQ. about
480km restricted train& genuieneness of T T E, Who snatch money from us.but answers were not satisfactory. If in Howrah in day light TTEwill do dacoity, Moist&terrorist like acts without fearing railway
authority& law of the land then nobody will save this country from destrutoin.Please Inspect these fake&
original T T Es through railway vigilance squad to wipe out this mananece.

Indian Railways — Cocroaches in the train, bad behaviour of attendant

Dear Sir,

I have recently travelled by the grand trunk Express 2616, from Bhopal to Nagpur in the 2nd ac compartment on 29th june 09. We faced a lot of problems.

- Firstly the coach was filled with lots of Cocroaches
- The attendant was not knowing any langauge except TAmil.
- On asking for bed Roll, he provided us after half an hour which was is bad shape.
- The TT never came, we went searching for him, as from our 2 tickets, we had only 1 seat s no.

The coach was A2, my PNR is [protected].

If railways is providing such bad services what is it charging us for in 2nd ac, NO CLEANLINESS, NO BED ROLLS, NO PROPER RESPONSE from the staff.
