[Resolved]  Indian Railways — HARRASSMENT BY RAILWAY BOOKING STAFF

Dear sir,
I was issued Rly. warrant from mumbai to Delhi and back, to attend some urgent official meetings, at mumbai it was exchanged but when I went to the ticketing counter at Sarai Rohilla it was not honoured saying that since name of station written in railway warrant was Delhi to Mumbai and it was told by booking clerk that there is no rly station by the name of Mumbai hence it can not be honoured. but it is obvious that all the station (Bandra, Dadar, Mumbai central, borivali etc) comes in mumbai only. Even I met Supervisor Mr. Surender singh who also refuse to honour it saying that if we will honour it there will be audit objection . Eventhough everything was okey but they refused to honoured even the destination was clearely written. if there are multiple stations in a particular city then any of the station will serve the purpose. Due to the refusal by the railways it cause a lot of invonvienence to me. This was due to foolishness of that particular railway staff. I have faced this kind of problem in delhi only, hence i hope necessary instructions will be issued through ur good office in this regard . Thaks with regards MC LAKHERA

Refund of Rs 2105/ againnst cancelled/rerouting of train No 2904 on 07 jul 2010 due to flooding in ambala train did not come to Saharanpur hence self and wife who are sr citizen had travelled all the way from dehradun to catch above train had to cancel journey and faced hardship.Cancellation of ticket not accepted by rly stn SRE/DDN on returning.application alongwith original ticket(pnr No[protected] was fwd toDy CCM RefundNorth rly Varanasi on 09 jul 10 and has been ack. Refund not yet made despite reminders.

MMTS RAILWAYS — ticket counters

Sir,

There are 2 counters to issue mmts tickets at FAthenagar Railway station. The 2nd counter is supposed to opened at 0800 hrs. Inspite, of heavy rush and long ques at counter no 1 no second counter is opening at 0800 hrs daily. Pl look in to the matter.
I TOO AGREE WITH THE COMPLAINTS, AS I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED 20000 FROM THIS JAN-10 DUE TO TRANSACTION FAILED.

Indian Railways — Amount deducted but ticket not booked

I was trying to book my ticket in TATKAL,
but after giving the card details n making payment it said as "SERVICE UNAVAILABLE"

Unfortunately the ticket not got booked n the amount was also debited from my HDFC account.

So kindly revert back the amount deducted.
I have lots of time from railways, its improving day by day.

Indian Railways — Never get available tickets for reservation

Hello Sir/madam,

I am staying at bangalore since 2001, and I always required to reserve/plan my tickets two weeks before.

Earlier I used to get the tickets on reservation, but I can see a lot of changes at Indian railways past one year. Its not only impossible to get the reserved tickets, also the WL is always to high. That I am afraid to take it, as I had few times bad experiences too.

Requesting to the Central Government and also to Railways, please look into the issue. As I belive when India is having growing population. The number of policies are also growing. We Indians are paying lot of taxes to get such kind of benifits from the government.

This time during Dasara and Dewali Indian rail didnt think of running extra trains or special trains... forget this they didnt even added extra coach to the running trains specially on Bangalore - Hyderabad route... people booked online with WL status cant even board the train... this they will come to know just 2 hours before the scheduled time... this horrible...
Chart preparation ... every train it is different time for some it 3 hrs.. for some it is 2 hrs.. some times it 4 hr before scheduled time.. wht is this.?. when that passenger will come to know weather he will travel or not..?

Very pathetic condition... specially i[censored] r completely depend on the train journey...

Indian Railways — CHEATING FOR TICKETS

On 4November 2010 I travelled from Mumbai to New Delhi from NZM Garib Rath train no. 2909.My ticket was on waiting and did not got confirmed.Outside Bandra station railway ticket counter at 4pm an auto driver told that he would provide me a ticket.His auto number was MH03 AA 1021.He introduced to me to an agent there who were giving false commitments to many passengers.They provided 2 tickets,one from Bandra to Surat & other from Surat to Nizamudin which was on waiting.They promised atleast 20passengers that they will get seat till Delhi.They charged Rs2500 from each passeneger but no one got a seat after Surat.Auo driver took Rs 200 for the same.
Please help so that going forward,,no more consumers are cheated.
there is always corruption in railway deptt.
i[censored] r travelling in a train ur ticket is not confirmed. just give some ruppes to TTE ,he will give u a seat and took some money from u.
Please check countinous and free corruption free train travel
please do the needful action otherwise no need of this dwept.

Indian Railways — dishonour of certificate

The railway reservation clerk Mrs. Bharathi in James Street Local railway station under secunderbad section refused to issue railway concession ticket to my son's mentally handicapped certifcate. which I was obtain concession for the last several years. She blamed that my handicapped son is not eligible for such concession. This is happened on 10.12.2010 at 9.40 hrs. Indian Railways — Non receipt of Goods

Sir

I have booked a parcel vide Docket No.P D 011179 dated 11.12.2010 from Agra Cantt. to Hyderabad. Which I have not received till dae. The attitude of the railway clerks in the Parcel receiving section is that the parcels should be booked through private transporters or the takedars who charge huge amounts.

It is being said by the people ( Hamalies ) there that if the parcel is booked through them it will not reach the destination in time. The only excuse said by the railway people is that there will be no space in the train. when there will be space we will put the same.

The police man in front of the parcel section demands money for doing duty there otherwise he will not let the parcels in and says stop the rikshaw out side the station and bring the material. whereas the private ontractors are bringing their vehicles very near to their loading or unloading point and parking their vehicles there.

I would like to know when will my parcel arrive in Hyderabad

Recently i won a product in jeetle but they asked me to send PHOTOS though mail. After that no response from them. I have sent many mails to them asking for the delivery status but no response from them. Can anyone help me regarding this issue pls.

Indian Railways — Ticket amount refund delayed

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I had booked Railway e-ticket of the following details:

Due to some problems I coild not travel and I had cancelled the same ticket and filed a TDR in Railway www.irct.co.in website on 20.09.10 and Reference no. was ekt[protected].

But till date nbo refund has been issued to me.

I between I had called up Railway Customer care services at[protected] and one customer care exceutive promised to me that the refund will be sanctioned after 90 calendar days. Now more than the stipulated no. of days has passed away and no action has been taken yet.

I need a explanation in this regard from Indian Railways for this delay or negligence.

I also request Consumer complaints cell to help me get the refund amount with penalty from Indian railways.

Local Train — Ladies Security

Sir,

This is very unfortunate that we stay in Mumbai and still are worried for our security in Local Trains. Today we got an 7.48am train which runs between Thane to CST (Slow) 12 cart Train Last Ladies Compartment (First from Thane side). In Kurla an Transgender (Hijada) got into the train and started begging in such a way that he was actually trying to frightend the ladies. We callled up the RPF control room when train reach Sion station and said that the train is heading towards Matunga and the Transgender was threatening us that let "Dadar come I will show you what I can Do" . We have raise an alarm but sorry to say the Police boarded the train in Byculla and by then he got down at Curry Road Station.

Indian Railways — Railways should pay penalty if train is cancelled

Respected Sir,
I had booked one ticket for Indore in train no. 12416, Indore Intercity Express for 26/12/10 for myself and my uncle, this train was first delayed as I cheked with the 139 for 4 hrs later for 8 hrs, than they finally cancelled the train. I want to question if we are not able to board the train for some reason and get the ticket cancelled than railways deducts our money to half or nil wihtout asking the reason for not boarding the train as it is our problem, but if railways does the same, by cancelling the train why should'nt it pay double money as what can we do if they are having some problem, why does not the railways has the same rule for itself or either it should stop deducting the passengers money who cannot board the train for some reason.
If railways had been a private organisation than they could have been thought to be in such practices of being in tilted towards themselves when dealing with customers but for a government organisation they should be ashamed of themselves and as if that is not enough when you go for ticket booking and you do not have change the people sitting at ticket counter cheat you of your extra money, this happened both the times for me, when I did the reservation as well as when I got the cancellation done.

Indian Railways — Senior Citizen harassed by Railway coach conductor & poor security at New Delhi Station

Dear sirs,
In incident took place with my mother and father (name smt. Shanti dei age 75years and Sri Amarnath Tiwar age 82 yars ex railwys employee ) both senior citizen on 5th January 2011.as under;

(1) Train No.12191 was Late by 12 hrs. here Railways administration was responsible.

(2) My fathers reservation ticket (In B1 coach) was stolen alongwith cash in coat on New Delhi plate form No.2, here Railways poor security system was responsible.

(3) FIR was lagede with Railways security system and asked for further for proision for traialing, it was sugested by them that copy of FIR was sufficiant because he was ex-railwayman.

(4) Train started from plateform no.2 at 02.00 Hours on 6th Jan.(insted of 14.00 hours on 5th Jan) Train Conductor of Coach asked payment of rupee 1500/- each treating them without ticket inspite of their name on chart and shown indentity.

(5) Refusing unauthorised payment they were compeld to leave the coach, when 'Complaint-Book', was asked to write such grevience, conductor refused to do so.

Above incident spoils all soft policies infever of senior citizen, ex-railwaman, and about indian culture and law&justis. On 5th January 2011 night temrature at New Delhi plateform and in the train toward its way of journy was too cold to bear in such situation my parant had to sty on plateform till night 02.00 hours and thereafter they had to suffer painful traivling with additional tickt in general class without any bedroll (in Ac coach bedrolls are supplied so they do not collect the same to aoid extra lugeged ) Here I would like to place my complaint for appropreate action against directly resposible authorities and to knwo the Indian Railways ruls-regulations for duplicate ticketing against reserved ticket (througr railway free pass) , standing instructions for train conductors, behaiors of railway staff with senioe citizen passengers, calculation basis of demanding rupees 1500/- each on without ticket in Ac3 coach, and overall ethico-moral performance of a present railway employee with retired railway employee in critical situation. This complaint is submitted by me on the telephonic information recieve from my parant who are still in the train (No. 12191 New Delhi-Jabalpur super fast) not reached to Etarsi (parant travailing from Delhi to Etarsi) yet.Detailed and hard copy complaint will be placed before the cometant authority, and in court of law(if appropreate action will not taken) after collecting more details with strong evidances and figures.

I would like to submit the following for justification and compensation thereto.
On 28 Dec 2010 at at 1410h at Matond station, I requested the counter clerk for issue of authenticate single ticket for Harpalpur station by Allahabad to Jhansi passenger train, the clerk refused to issue the ticket with the plea that the train has arrived, inspite of my so many request he ignored the request and thus I have to travelled to my destination by road, duly causing extra financial burden which seems to be improper and against the code of conduct of the rly staff.
Such an incident has lead me mentally and physically harassed duly imposing me extra financial burden which have been taken on loan.
Its understood that the train has arrived, however the counter clerk should issue the ticket whether I perform and catch the train thats my problem but if I performed it without ticket then I will be brought to the act of rly which is not the fact but nobody will listen to my grievances due to non production of any authenticate documents and its right but what I have faced that God knows. Being a obedient citizen I have requested for the ticket not in kind but by paying why the counter clerk has not issued me the ticket is still a suspense and I should be compensated for that.
This aspect has been brought to the notice of the authority due to not execution of such type of action which will create unnecessary harassment duly physically and mentally and monetary. My contact No [protected] for any querry. The above contents may please be justified in right spirit and not as a complaint which could harm any gentlemen.

I have faced similar situation..Its true.Also it seems the railways is blocking the existing seats against tatkal. Earlier I believe depending on the Tatkal booking additional coaches were attached. Is anybody hearing...
