dvd — dvd cds are not able to be played

We are having a problem with our dvd player which has been off warranty and projects only vcds.Your service person had come to fix it but said he had to change the motar but we felt that it was waste of money money .But now we are ready for you to fix our dvd how much ever the expences are as sooon as possible.
