IRCTC — Refund on failed ticket transaction

I had tried to book two tickets from Bangalore City Junction to Trichy Junction for 17th Dec 2010 in Mailaduthurai express(6232). I reached the point till where I entered my card number and password details and clicked submit through the Citibank payment gateway. After this the web page showed service unavailable and Rs.392 was deducted from my account and the tickets were never booked. The seat availability before and after I tried booking was 150 and when I checked the failed transaction list the status given was ‘SETTLEMENT REQUESTED’ Kindly do the needful at the earliest and refund the amount ASAP. Herewith I am giving you the details required.

IRCTC — False Allegations

I had few train e-tickets where myself and some family members could not travel. As per their policy, on e-tickets, if chart is prepared, there's only one option to get refund and that was to file a TDR on IRCTC.CO.IN website. I did and waited for years to get refund. I followed up frequently on a periodic basis and got some refunds and some are still pending.

Few weeks back I could not log into their website and upon sending request to their help-desk team, I got a reply that my account has been blocked for filing a false TDR.

This is a serious allegation and I want to raise it to highest level. I am not ready to face these allegations just because of their department's incomplete investigations who came to conclusion that my claims are false. I have proofs that I did not traveled and have requested them to investigate. Still sending requests but they are not responding now.

My id at IRCTC website is "praxonline"

I don't think IRCTC will look into this matter if you post on consumer complaints.
Recover your password using forgot password link at irctc.co.in (http://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/services/forgotpassword.do?username=)
And login, go to cancel eticket section, select the eticket you want to cancel and you should be able to cancel it easily.

This is RAVI.While booking the e ticket from irctc . The ticket is not booked but the total amount has been deducted from my sbi card account. amount of rs 964 has been deducted from my account. IRCTC — Cheating / Fraud

While travelling through Jaipur super fast express from Jaipur to Mumbai on 13/10/2010, i encountered following cheating/fraud from IRCTC authorised pantry in the train
1. Cold beverages were sold on higher prices then that specified by MRP.
2. Tea served was much less then 150ml about 80ml in cups of 170ml. On complaining even the pantry manager was not responsive.

Please do the needful.

IRCTC — regarding non supply of food during late arrival of Rajdhani Express [2309]on dated 18/10/2010

No breakfast and no newspaper were delivered to passengers even after late arrival of train at New Delhi around 10:30 a.m. on dated 18/10/2010.

IRCTC — Linen Services

I am travelling to bangalore by train no. 6222 (Kaveri Express) from Chennai to Bangalore in 2nd AC Coach on 20/10/2010. They have provided soiled linen, which is not comfortable to use. Same is the case with other passengers. I understand that the fare includes in receiving a good, washed and hygienic linen.

Request the concerned authorities to look into this.

The train had been cancelled and we were informed that refund would be given to us within 90 days from the date of cancellation of the ticket. Till now we have not received the refund.

Kindly let us know the status and refund us the amount at the earliest and oblige..


I had cancelled E Ticket 5 months earlier i was told i would get refund within 90 days or more. but till date nothing has been done, i have sent atleast 5 mails to the irctc.
Where should i send the letter for information

IRCTC — not available during 08.00 to 08.30

Attn to GREAT INDIA RAILWAYS
The IRCTC web site designed for online ticket booking is the worst unreliable site . Many miracles will happen like
A) amount will be deducted and you will not get ticket.
B) When u want to book tatakl ticket in the required time between 08:00 to 08:30 the site will tell service unavailble.
C) Some special train list it will not show in the list

Many online websites are almost 100 % avaialble and meeting the requirements of custumers. But IR treats consumers as beggers. I am eagerly waiting for the days of private trains entry in future the days to cut off the wings of IR like BSNL.

What else we can do apart for praying the god. !!!
