[Resolved] Irctc — Tatkal opened with waiting list | |
Dear Sir, I am a daily user of irctc website and I fear something abnormal happened today. I tried to book tickets for 2 people(my parents) under tatkal from Chennai Egmore(MS) to Trivandrum Central(TVC) in Ananthapuri Express(6123). The total availabililty under tatkal is 206. My PNR [protected] got generated at 8:04, but I am shocked to find it in waiting list 71,72. I have booked many tickets in tatkal and have never seen almost 300 tatkal tickets booked within 4 minutes in a single train. Can you please confirm this is normal or some malpractices happened in tatkal reservations. This is urgent since only two more days left for the journey. Its my mistake, the berth reservation depends on the boarding point and in the above reservation, the boarding point don't have availability, hence the waiting list.
This is no more an issue.
