To Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav The Hon’ble Minister of Railways New Delhi Date: 17th May, 2008 suject: Online Booking through irctc.co.in Respected Sir, I would like to get your kind attention on the problems faced by the general public who use Internet Booking facility to book their ticket for their journey on www.irctc.co.in.IRCTC web service is a disaster. You would reach peak of your frustration booking tickets online. This low cost server always throws a message 'Unable to retrieve due to communication failure' whenever you search for station codes, check train no.s, check availability you name it.i was booking my ticket yesterday through irctc.co.i completed all process and payment gateways charged the payment but didn't issue me ticket.i got the message from irctc "sorry for Unable to retrieve your ticket due to communication failure' and i lost the Rs 60/-for this hell sorry word. just i want to ask who will return these Rs 60/- it is very painfull losing your Rs. without any cause . i woud like suggest in this condition, if custumer is not getting booked ticket the irctc should refund total money without make any charges. so i request to you sir please look forword this matter and make some rule and regulation regard this problem. so that general public can save their money and time. Dear Sir,
While booking the ticket from Anand vihar(ANVR) to Kathiar(KIR),
The transaction was failed & could not book the ticket, however an amount of Rs.2150/- deducted from SBI A/c alongwith Rs. 10/- and so far not refunded. The follwing details were shown in the cancelled history : -

Pnr Number: 0 Transaction ID: [protected] Train No: 12506
Train Name: NORTH EAST EXP From Station: (ANVT) To Station: (KIR)
Date Of Journey: 25-Oct-2011 Class: 3A Boarding: (ANVT)
Resv Upto: (KIR) Date Of Booking: 23-Oct-2011 Total Fare: Rs 2150.00

so i request to you sir please look forword this matter and refund total money in my SBI account...

irctc.co.in has become a living disaster. My husband and I try to book tickets from this site very often. There are number of times we went through traumatic situations...I hope they maintain the site properly...it becomes very frustrating and irritating at times. You can see the tickets available but you end having a failure notice message.

Not refunding for TDR

PNR No. [protected], train was late by 6 Hrs. still not refunding. IRCTC is harassing customer nothing else, this is the Indian govt organization's culture.

Double Ticket amount (BNC BBS PREMIUM Train)

I have taken 2 tickets from Bangalore to Tirupati (BNC BBS PREMIUM Train) around costs 250/- per head.But when i am booking they have charged to 1100/-.May i know the reason.
