[Resolved]  Kenstar / Kenstar Air Cooler — Product not properly working

I'm basically from Chennai, and its a known fact that this season is the most painful season as the summer goes to peak. Till date me and my family haven't opted for A/c nor an aircooler and we'd coped up with fan itself. Suddenly a thought raised that why don't v buy an aircooler atleast as A/c is not affordable by us. I went to a nearest home appliances dealer in our area itself and I saw two different brands one is from Symphony and the other is from Kenstar. As I'm new to this product, I went by the sales person who was there in the showroom and he had showed me that kenstar model and said you jus need to add water into this, switch it on then the cooling starts in the room within 15mins. Believing the same i bought it. The very first day i bought and switched it on in the night, air cooler was spitting air like flames. I convinced myself saying that b'cos of the climate and also since i switched it on for the first time the air comes like this. But even after 2hrs there is no change in the output. the next day in the morning i immediately registered the complaint to customer service stating that the purpose of aircooler is to cool the place where we keep. They registered the complaint and they sent a person too from the service centre. He came and spoke something he know and said to operate in a specific functional mode so that the cooling begins within 1/2 hr. I was so happy that my operating way was different b'cos of which the room was not cool. I did the same way that was explained by the service engr, and to my bad luck the result was more worse. The heat exposed by the aircooler was more. Third day i immediately took the aircooler from the Next Showroom (useless showroom) to tell my issue. I don't whether they are really customer service minded people or not. One person is telling to put ice cubes so that more cooling will be there. But he also tells once the ice cubes melts cooling will go off.. What a stupid reply? One more person who is supposed to be incharge of the shop came and said that he cannot take back the air cooler as we'd poured water and used it. I strongly gave back that without even pouring water how can you use it? They were in the same state saying that they won't take back nor give any other product in exchange. I asked for the HO number of that showroom so that i can get this escalated. The person who attended my call @ HO understood the issue and asked to retain back the aircooler check for the issue and proceed with it. We gave back the aircooler, but god only knows when the service engr comes tomorrow.
Someone who's reading this please ensure a few things before buying a product

1. When you goto a showroom ensure the person who's attending you is well versed about the product.
2. Gather more info about the product which you're planning to buy before even getting into the showroom.
3. Tell the manager of the showroom, at the time of purchase itself, that this will be returned back if there are issues.
4. Don't go for any of those products which are not in market, otherwise we'll spend the money and we'll be in trouble.
5. Do not open the pack unless there is a demo shown @ your home, the person should ensure that the product is working fine.

Kenstar — BAN KENSTAR IN AP

Hello sir/Madam, I Muppidi Vijaya Kumar from Rajamundry Andhrapradesh. Almost of my home products are from KENSTAR. I feel shame of this. I have complained on 18th of January and the technician came on 19th January 2009 and found compressor is in fault. My complaint number is 124. I have warranty for that. Now today is 28th January 2009 (5:18pm). Nobody is responsible for my complaint. I have two little children, I use my refrigirator for all uses to protect my children medicine and food. I told before they took complaint. 9 days over, still they are showing their neglagency in satisfiying the customer. Their response on phone is not satisfactory. As I enquired, they received Compressor for my refrigirator before but, they are telling that climate is not supportvie. I too live in this same area. I do work on outside. I promise now itself we never faced difficulty with the climate sofar after 7am in the morning and before 6pm in the evening. Now, I'm unable to use my refrigirator. It's too smelling and became black. Is KENSTAR going to bear my feelings? Who will tak action...!!!

Kenstar Air Cooler Turbo Cool Dx — I need service for the cooler

this is the best cooler i had, but i need service for that since every year i will have service for that and afterwards i will start using that i had old service numbers they are not working i think so...
I had purchased a Kenstar air cooler from Pai International Electronics Ltd, Koramangala vide Bill no. 008129 dated 10.4.2009. (S.No. COOKEN 02 Kenstar Cooler 18L CT9924).

I regret to inform you that I have used the cooler only for two days as there was an abnormal sound from the cooler after two days of purchase. I have immediately informed your customer care deptt.(tel.no.[protected]) and they have given me a complaint booking number and advised me to contact Mr.Guruprasad at phone no. 41281281. The complaint no.was BAN-[protected]. I called up Mr.Guruprasad and informed him the problem. He had taken my residentail address and told me that within 2 - 3 days the problem will be rectified. But even after 10 - 15 days nobody visited to rectify the problem. I was following up with him regularly but there was no use. Finaly he said the validy of the complaint got lapsed and he asked me to lodge another complaint with your customer care deptt. I called up your customer care deptt again and they have given me another no. BAN-[protected]. Someone called me up on 22nd May from your service deptt and said on 23rd the service engineer will come to rectify the problem. I was waiting at home on Saturday (23rd May) but noone turned up from your service deptt. I was in touch with your call centre regularly.

I have callled up to your Aurangabad Office on 27th May 09. They said the issue will be taken up with Bangalore office and they problem will be rectified within 1 - 2 days. Today again I called up your customer care and they have given me Mr.Janardhana's (Branch Manager) mobile number. I was trying to contact him at his cell number but not connected through as it is switched off.

I would request you to look at this matter urgently and do the needful to avoid any further delay.

i have bought Kenstar Turbocool Dx 9704 Cooler on april. it is not working properly as well as water leakage is another problem. i have told to the shop owner so many times, but he didn't send anyone to repair it until today.what can i do now about rules?can u help me, plz.

we have bought a new kenstar air coolel vibrant turbo model number CT-9924 ON[protected], but just after 2 months cooler is not working, its exhaust fan was not moving, we lodged a complaint in customer care, a guy came, he said we need to replace fan when we showed him our 1 year warranty card, he said this won't do we need copy of your purchase bill, we were unable to find that at time, he said i havent braught any new fans at this time I will call you guys back tommorrow, get that bill photocopy, next day we searched that bill we found it, and agian called customer care, they said we have lodged a complain and a our person will visit, since the 5 days has passed every day we call then at least 2 to 3 times they say we have lodged a complaint but nobody comes to visit, when we asked for any senior manager contact number they simlply denied to give this this has happened on[protected], and since then, you can imagine it june time in delhi, and we are suffering in summer with so much humidity and temprature, I would like to lodge a serious complaint against kenstar company and there cold and non caring attitude against there customer as once there product sold, they dont have any responsibility towards there customer

i purchased a kenstar coolers last month and that dont work properly from last 15 days and i regularly send complaints to the coustmers care and they give me 0 responce im totally disagree with ur service. i dont feel shy to say that ur company will be in negative side as ur service given to the custmer call me when u recieve this message my cell number is [protected]
the site of kenstar itself is also fully infected as its pruducts does. google do not access the site because site is dangerous. this shows what is kenstar.

ken star — cooling not happening

Dear Sir/Ma’m

I have purchased refrigerator (KEN 175PR 175SLTS) from dealer Danam Sales Center, 78 Kamaraj Salai.. on 12-Apr-08.

I have logged the complaint for the reason not cooling to the Sree Susmee Electronics, at 29-Apr-11. The service vendor said he has to replace the replaced the compressor [as its not working] its in Warranty period but I have to pay for refill the gas charge Rs 1600.00.

Before this complain my refrigerator has been repaired more than three time with same problem, I have spend 3000.00 till date….

If the compressor is not working its not my fault company has to replace the same and refill the gas as already I have spend above for three time repair…..its company fault only the compressor is not working I can not pay for gas…..


I request you to please look in to the matter, and please solve my problem at the earliest. I am being harassed for the service from 5.8.2010.

please look in to the matter urgently.

Kenstar — no response to customer call

I had bought a Kenstar Vibrant Air cooler a year back. Used for 2-3 months during summer last year and this year when i switch on, it not only makes loud noise but also does not give cool air.
I had contacted their customer care centre and they logged a complaint and promised to send the technician. after 2 days i get an sms that the complaint is closed. i had to send an sms again to reopen the complaint. its been 10 days now and am still expecting the technician. Whenever i call them, they tell that they will send the technician as soon as possible.
I am highly disatisfied with their service and would like to advice anybody not to go for Kenstar.

Kenstar — Service Person didn't show up after repeated complaints.

I own a Kenstar Air cooler, Model - Vibrant from e-Zone, Punjagutta. While running its produce some sound, so I called Kenstar Customer Care for Servicing the product on 2nd May 2013, but till now no service person show up to service the product after repeated calling to Customer Care.
customer service is very very poor, I have purchased around 15 days back, it's not working and no response from the customer care...
no body attending the call and call either cancelled or closed

Kenstar — Kenstar Mixture Grinder Moter is not working

I have purchased Kenstar Mixture Grinder from flipkart with order OD[protected] but after 3 month it's motre not working. As per service warranty it should be serviced.

We had purchased Kenstar Cooler on 29th Apr, 2016 from Croma, Bangalore. But the cooler worked only for 2 days and then stopped(Motor got burned). We informed Croma, Bangalore, but they informed to connect with Kenstar customer care. We had to complain 3 times before they finally reached home to get it serviced. We informed them that they need to get the cooler exchanged since we used it only for 2 days, but they were only wanting to change the motor. After that we have been again following up with them, but sadly a month is passed and no one as been attending our calls or get anything done about it.

Kenstar coolers are totally useless and their after sales service even worst. I repent for purchasing the same.

Desert cooler is not working form the date of purchase

Desert cooler is not working form the date of purchase and customer care says that they don't having the spare part to get it repaired or change. I bought it from a reputed dealer in Delhi.
