[Resolved]  KINGSTON 32 GB PEN DRIVE — IT'S A FAKE PEN DRIVE.

i have also bought the Kingston 32GB Pen drive ...for Rs.1000
as soon as i bought it ... i loaded it with 14 movies ...i.e 700 MB each...almost around 10GB ...
then i tried the pen drive in my USB DVD Playa ... well it just detected 1 movie out of the 14 movies and i knew something wrong in it...
I anyways tried the pen drive in different USB DvD Playa's ...like SONY, LG, PhilliPS, Etc...
the results were the same ...detectin 1 movie only ...
My experience please don't get ur hands on this pen drive even for free ...IT SUCKS BIG TIME...
and yeah IT IS FAKE ...totally agree ...
fORTUNATELY i didn't not pay for the pen drive so i returned it back ...GoD SaVe Ma SouL?

i bought a 32 gb pendrive for 1500f.. when i purchase it.. it was good after taking it to my house and when i try to use in my system its showing unknown language files and the memory of files is also not showing ... if i use it other system also i got the same problem pls try to solve it...

for me its same experience like typed below.

there are hell lots of problems in pen drives. So there is only one solution i.e. if you need it then must buy from genuine dealer. Don't go for cheap stuff.

ITS A FAKE PEN DRIVE.
I HAVE BOUGHT KINGSTON 32 GB PEN DRIVE FROM UNKNOWN PERSON,
WHEN I BOUGHT IT, I JUST CHECKED ITS CAPACITY WHICH WAS SHOWING PERFECT,
BUT AFTER A USE WHAT I KNEW...

1. The data in the pendrive got corrupted due to bad sectors.
2. On coping pictures I found out that only till 512MB of data was intact, the rest got corrupted.
3. Formatting the Pendrive was of no use.
4. I tried using windows Disk Check utility to see whether the bad sectors could be recovered but the program used to hang on initiating it.
5. On opening the pendrive I saw the PCB was in a pretty bad condition.
6. Only a 512MB RAM Chip was used in the PCB.

Now does this 32gb pen drive really exist. if it does then is KINGSTON the maker. Please let me know, because lot of friends are talking about this 32gb pen drive and saying it is only 310 Rs.(INDIAN CURRENCY)

hey you should have been more careful when u purchased the pendrive, where in the world would you get a 32gb pendrive for 500 bucks. that itself should have told you its a fake! anyways i guess there is nothing much you can do about it but be more careful next time. askin kingston to find such people is not fair either.

It's not the Kingston company that is selling these fake Pen Drives. Given the fact that you have opened the case, look carefully at the chip. If it's a Kingston chip, that would be printed clearly on it (even that can be faked out these days). Just coz the plastic casing has Kingston engraved on it doesn't mean it's a Kingston drive.

You are a fool that you purchased it from unauthorized person. You are a fool to have bought that fake piece of . Now it's for you to suffer.

People like you should grow up and buy authentic items. If you can't do that, learn to keep your stupid mouth shut!

hey folks the pen drive is really worth the money i bought it for just 150 rs at palika bazar delhi u have to format it in dos mode then u can use the full 32 gb with ease it works nly with usb 2.0 so njoy its worth buyin cheers dunt b dishearted

I never got any complaint from any of buyers.

But I would like to suggest that, if you find anything which is not proper from ur end. you can always go to kington website and ask for refund or exchange. they are always ready to help people like you. you need to contact them and have to inform that what happend with your pendrives.

Generally, if you dont have bill, then you need to take a bill. and always purchase with protection. If any of seller will ask for offline payment like ATM deposit, Bank Transfer, Western union, Cheque Deposits, Cash ... Never pay them. as being Buyer, you dont have any securities with you. always try to pay by Credit Card, and if you dont have credit card, then pay by Cash on delivery, so u can check it before you pay them. also have other option like PayPal or Paisa Pay from eBay. It is Secured and safe for Buyers. at least you wont waste your time and money.

Today somebody tried to cheat me by selling 32 GB Kingston pen drive in 500 Rs. just outside my office, I told him that I'll check it before buying, and so I took it and checked by seeing properties, which was showing 32 GB offcourse, and I tried to copy some data to it, and back to my PC, it all worked..
But after giving him the money I found out that more than 500MB of data is not getting copied to it. So I called that guy to sell me another 4 drives also, so that i can give it to my friends, and guess what, he came back, hoping for more money... But we caught him and took back the money which I gave him a little while ago.
So all's well that ends well...
But learning from that incident is. Don't buy Pendrives especially Kingston, if someone sells it to you in such a lower price... They all are FAKE... So please spread out the word to your friends... as its happening worldwide...
I searched on this topic and my foundings are that its a very big Racket... and its not only happening in India(Mumbai, Pune, delhi, Bangalore etc...), but its happening in UK, Australia and in some other countries too...
Ppl are selling it on Ebay also... These all Pen Drives are FAKE...

I have purchased Kingston 32GB pen drive from Delhi (Gaffar Market) from the unknown person there and I have checked with some of stall people who are selling same product after that I bought this product and the same data corruption issue I'm facing with this product after formatting.

If anyone got any effective solution for this issue please let me know it will be really appraisable.
