KINGSTON Pen Drive-32GB — Fake Product

Last week a person came, and told he is working in Port Customs and he having some original KINGSTON Pen Drive 32 GB with 2 Years warranty-Rs 2500/-. He has given his contact address and phone numbers, also he explained the capacity practically. Afterward many time I tried to saving my files in this same pendrive, but repeatedly shows "write Protected" Now it is totally unused condition, I don't know how to remove or add the files in this pen drive. This is same like original product, but some are preparing duplicate
and sell it in market. Why the Original Kingston company try to protect these duplicates? means they have to provide some secret passwords/ codes/security for their original products. Hense this is entirely Kingston's responsibility, they should pay me the compensation amount.

Hello sir,
I HAVE BOUGHT KINGSTON 32 GB PEN DRIVE FROM A RETAIL SHOPE,
WHEN I BOUGHT IT, I JUST CHECKED ITS CAPACITY WHICH WAS SHOWING PERFECT,
BUT AFTER A USE WHAT I KNEW...

1. The data in the pendrive got corrupted due to bad sectors.
2. On coping pictures I found out that only till aproximately 2 GB of data was intact, the rest got corrupted.
3. Formatting the Pendrive was of no use.
4. I tried using windows Disk Check utility to see whether the bad sectors could be recovered but the program used to hang on initiating it.
5. On opening the pendrive I saw the PCB was in a pretty bad condition.
6. Only a 512MB RAM Chip was used in the PCB.
Please help us if you know anything abt these type of pen drive case.
Say please what i do next.

I am an American who has been to India ( New Delhi ) recently. I was in Palika Bazaar, the popular hang-out for bargain shoppers. I saw hundreds of Kingston USB Flash drives ranging from 8 GB to 720 GB in electronic stores. Yes, 720 GB! ( there were 120 GB, 500 GB capacity as well ). I actually bought 5 of them for a 1500 Rupees each. I am a computer engineer myself and it is not easy for someone to fool me. I had my laptop with and I tested everyone of them and they all showed their actual capacity being 713 GB. I took them to my hotel, copied my entire music collection on to it...from my external HD to the USB drive. Worked like charm! They are fast USB 2.0.
I have no reason to lie. These USB drives are obviously cheap Chinese rip-offs, but so far they all have worked. I don't know how reliable these pieces are. I surely am going to test them though. I am going to hand these to my buddies in America so they can test them too.
Just wanted to share my experience with you. Let me know if you have any questions. My philosophy is be skeptical of life, but always give benefit of doubt and you can spring some surprises. :)

Same thing happened with me ... Nw wen i c properties of my drive its showing me memory 0 bytes and file system RAW wt[censored] ... Any solution for dis???

what is a meaning of fake pendrive...i have also same 32 GB pendrive and i'd putted more 2.8 GB data inside but when im putting folders inside its being corrupted ...that or those folders is will show 0 properts but 512 folder are creating automatically inside...i dont know is this virus? or something else ..when i tried to clean from antivirus for several times its shows that it is clean...so pls tell me wat shld b a problem?

Thanks for your warning...As I found the same thing happening at Lokhandwala-andheri in Mumbai.
The guy was selling the Kingston PD 32 GB at Rs.500/-.
On complaint to Lokhandwala Police on Number 100 within 10-15 mins they caught the Guy.
Lets see how they take it forward ...I hope they will route it out and wont leave with some mutual settlement.
If anyone can follow-up please do so.
I am happy that I took action and police were able to grab the fish.

thanks for your information... I hadn't face this type problem yet, but now I am aware about it.

My suggustion is buy the product with the reliable vendor, don't try to buy in cheep rate product sealer.

If we brought from fraud sealer, they are fool us as well as we are doing wrong against government revenue.

In future if you seen these fraud guys, call to police and inform about your doubt about the product. I hope they will do the needful.

The chap who sold me the 32K Kingston pen drive @ 500 Rs was named Javed. It is a group of these guys who do this business at JM Road, MG Road, etc.
He had given me this-> [protected] number which belongs to Dev Choudhary as per him. And surprisingly, this is a working number.
I had called upon this number several times and also spoke to Javed.
He says that he is in GOA now & cannot meet me. But i know, he is still in Pune. Just trying to make me fool.
Can anyone find the address for me?
