[Resolved]  Kotak Life Insurance — refunding the amount

sir,
i ruchi baniwal proposal no-1689787 applied for kotak life insurance,but due to lack of graduation certificate my proposal is being closed. so the amount which i paid in advance should be given back, but still i am waiting for your cheque

I had taken a Kotak Life Insurance Policy No.[protected] Jan 10. Haven't recd Policy document till date (ie 13 April 2010). Have applied for free look cancellation on 4 feb 2010 at kotak's gurgaon branch. haven't got the refund. even submitted documents on mail to client service desk as was assured that they will process the refund but even after following up for for over 2 months with client service desk haven't got any response. haven't been to contact the customer care because of some server problem the lines are not been connected to customer care. Today on 13 april 2010 fortunately got connected to customer care (thank the god for that & kotak mahindra too) but was disappointed to haer the response. cutomer care executive said my case has been rejected on ground that its is not within the Freeloook option period. They don't even know that the Freelook can be done withing 15 days of receiving the policy bond. I haven't recd the policy bond yet so the period of 15 days never started. also whenever you call & get connected to customer care line (if you are lucky enough) you have to wait for atleast 10 to 15 minutes before your are able to talk to a customer care executive.

It feels like i had made the biggest mistake of my life by applying for Policy with Kotak Mahindra
