[Resolved]  Kun Hyundai Chennai — exorbitant bill/repair work carried on without customer approval/consent

Dear Sir,

This is to bring to your notice the issue that I am facing with Hyundai dealer – Kun Auto Co at Anna Salai, Chennai.

My car met with an accident 9th Aug 08 and subsequently I visited the above said dealer for my vehicles repair work on 11th Aug morning. Based on evaluation of the work and considering the long weekend I was promised that my car would be delivered to me on 19th Aug EOD.

Since my car was covered under comprehensive insurance coverage the dealer said (Mr. Ramachandran – Body shop in charge) they will take up the claim related formalities with the insurance company's surveyor the same day. I was initially told that based on the damages/depreciation calculation I would be asked to pay Maximum of Rs5000/- as rest all would be borne by the insurance. I also made it a point that beyond Rs5000/- I would not pay anything more.

We kept following with the dealer on a daily basis on the status of work and approvals from Insurance etc for which we were given positive responses.

On 18th Aug 08 when we checked the status the point of contact Mr. Ramachandran was on sick leave and now we had a new contact Mr. Guna. When asked to him on the costing that we had to pay the next day he said they are yet to ascertain the exact cost but informed that we might have to pay Rs10, 000/- (a sudden double in amt than what was promised) when we protested and asked for the reason he said only mandatory items that are required have been replaced. This was our first shock.

On 19th Aug 08, when we called Mr. Guna, who informed that the car would be ready only the next day as the estimate would be sent to insurance for approval that evening. When we demanded the reason for delay he agreed to deliver the same day evening.

We received a call at 3PM from the dealer to inform that the total repair charge is Rs36, 000/- out of which we had to pay Rs14000/- while rest would be borne by the insurance (this was the second shock).

We protested back and said we will not take delivery of the car unless the issue was sorted with insurance and them as they never took our approval or consent to do the work up to this cost limit.

But since we needed the car urgently I had to pay the difference and took delivery of the car 0n 21st Aug.

The point I am making here is - Exorbidant bills are raised on customers by un-necessarily replacing spares that could better be repaired and fixed on vehicles that come to the dealer with insurance claims.

Please respond to my issue as soon as possible and advice me on the solution. Should I file a legal suit for my refund and also for the compensation for the mental agony and loss of time & energy I suffered due to whole episode.

Kun hyundai, ambattur service center is very poor service.I had given my accent for service ...with two complaints...but neither was attended and I was charged full... new spares want change this is phone call from service centre front office ok i agreed but after finishing service not salved problem why their is no change new spare after the raising voice the give new spares but i not believe that is true or not even their drivers mishandled vehicle in there premises and my vehicle got new dent overall not a good station to take your vehicle... TOTALLY KUN HUNDAI SERVICE CENTRE AMBATTUR IE. IS CHEATING PUPIL'S.

SBI — without my approval insurance was charged

i want to cancel my credit card

i am fedup of sbi credit card and there poor service... i have never asked them to give insurance cover to my credit card but these people have done that without my knowledge and sending me the insurance charges in the monthly statement. and its adding up everymonth.. can someone help me in...poor service,no telephone ediquett,no proper clarafication when i asked for the explaination they say will get you back but no revert again after 15days same again call for haressement every one has different stories about the charges on my card how do some one belive on SBI.(please contact me on my register cell no)
I am planning to purchase Hyundai i10 auto, and now little scared with all the experinces listed here. If given a second chance, whom would you prefer, if not KUN?

where should we all give our hundai cars for a service ? Company authorised service centres are our holes. Neither we cannot trust local mechanics. Moreover OEM's has to be availed only from Service centres, because duplicate spares are more in vogue in GP Road, chennai.as well as in other parts of the city.

Where the heck should we all get our cars seviced with genuinity ?
Dear Sir I am owning I-20 car given service in Kun Hyundai Kottivakkam (TNO5QAA0279) on 11th of March i ve never been came accross such a poor service, I gave my car for service in the free service in Kun Hyundai Kottivakkam,
No body checked the car and the water washing - they wipped my car with the dirty towel left the strains all over the places, need to correct this one other wise no one is going to give service in Kun
I am owning the Hyundai cars for past 10 years its really a big disappoinment, I am going to tell to my friend as well customers not to go to Kun Hyundai,

Hyundai Car i 20 — Delay in repair work

Dear Sir,
I purchase car from hyundyai on 14 Jul 11. On 6 Aug 11 i Have an accident due to that i meet a heavy loss. Due to non avilability of car parts till date car are in Hyundyai show room at mohali Joshi hyundyai. Dealer saying that part are not available in India so they give requirment to korea plant. Thaey show me mail where reaciving status of spare in 17 sept 11. But till date not any type of spare recived and no further action taken please do needful.

As a ex Hyundai salesman, its very difficult to please every customer demands. Customer is important until the time money is fully paid, rest is history. If you want attention, record your next conversation and tell them you are taking your case to media or customer court.

Kun Hyndai service staff are so unprofessional. I went there for repairs last year to get my car repaired. While I gave it for servicing and talking to the service manager, I saw a mechanic using a thin iron wire/rod to open the window as he forgot the key inside. I should have taken a video of it but forgot. I reported this to the service manager who promised that he'll ensure it is fixed properly. But ever after that, whenever the window is lowered and raised I get a sqeaky noise.

I have given my i10 Era for a General Service and Parts replacement at Kun Hyundai Service Center at Ambattur Estate,

My car has got a Noice at front area, where i was not knowing from where the noice is coming,

for this reason i have given the car to Kun, Initially the service advisor have tested on drive and informed that there is a problem in suspension area and confirmed there is NO PROBLEM AT STEERING COLUMN.

But after 3 days the service advisor have called me in phone and informed that Suspension is good and noice is because of Steering column. And he had informed and advised me to change the Steering column. As i am a lay man and not aware of where the noice is coming i informed the advisor to change the steering column.

When i have received the Car on 15/11/2012 and driven yesterday the NOICE STILL CONTINUES AT THE SAME PLACE.

I dont know why the hell Steering column have been changed and i have been charged more than 6000 Rupees for No reason.

Moreover i have asked to adjust the Radiator which have been misplaced from the bracket, WHICH HAVE ALSO NOT BEEN DONE.

UNDER BODY CLEANING have not been done...

I was doing my service at HMP - Ekkatuthangal which was very good and these People at Kun have made me a fool.

Kindly take immediate action on my mail, Or else i need to take this issue to other higher authorities of HMIL.

I am fed up of Kun Hyundai service and my money have been mis used for a worst service.

hyundai i 20 — repair delays

i had given my car i20 to amit motors,distt kullu which is authorised hyndai service centre two months ago. the car is still not repaired for want of electrical fuse box which is not a very uncommon spare part. i want compensation for this unusual delay inspite of repeated visits, tele calls and emails.
Fully agree. This thirsty for money. They would go on adding service which are not warranted at all and with all those wrong advises to raise bills. This is sheer cheating.
I have been associated with KUN Hyundai, Ambattur Indusrial Estate for more than 8 years. For my first car, generally there was no problem with KUN Hyundai's service; but during the past two services of my second Santro Xing car, I got bad service from them. Each service bill at an interval of 6 months cost around Rs.9, 000/- Few days after service, the car started to create troubles. For which, I had to pay another bill. I had to waste my time, energy & money.

Now they have appointed inexperienced people. The old experienced guys are OK.

After reading the above reviews from various customers and comparing with my experience, I decided NOT to go to KUN Hyundai Ambattur Industrial Estate.

This regarding the KUN HYUNDAI service center, PALLIKARANAI.

I gave my car after an accident on 19th April and till now (June 3rd), they didnt deliver my vehicle.
Total useless people, irresponsible answers and service was not up to the grade. Even a small roadside service center will far more better than these guys.

PLEASE DO NOT DROP YOUR VEHICLE IN KUN HYUNDAI, PALLIKARANAI.

WORST experience with these guys.
After the flood at my area on 1st December-2015, my car I-10 got affected. Water entered up-to / below the bottom seat cover. As an abundant precaution I did sent the car by towing truck to Hyundai authorised centre at Ambathur, M/s Kun Hyundai Limited on 17th December-2015. Service centre gave me ack saying Flood-B(Water up to seat level) and assured the vehicle would be made ready within five working days once insurance inspection would be over.

On follow up, the centre confirmed that Insurance was over on 28th December, since then i have been follow up regularly. At one stage the reply was that under chasing wiring hardness to be replaced and order had been placed.The service engineer confirmed that once received within five working days, the vehicle would be delivered.

The same reply I was getting it till april 2016. I visited the workshop on 19th April, and to my surprise found that my vehicle interior corroded out side paint spoiled due to scorching sun.The dash board, seat covers are fully discoloured due to scorching sun. Most of the body area started corrosion including the interior of windows panels. Battery is lifeless. I am sure the air conditioner would have gone. The mere look at the the vehicle and the way it is left unattended to it is most unfortunate and I lost hope of getting the vehicle back in usable condition in the near future or otherwise besides my expenditure on damages caused/ happened due to flood, and a huge amount may be equivalent to the cost of vehicle as of today, more so, happened due to damages caused, leaving the vehicle for more than 4 months in dum yard/ scarp yard due to body corrosion/ seat cover /dash board damage due to exposure to open sun without attending to it.

I sent an email to Kun Hyundai and Hyundai Motors India Ltd. Then Manager started talking and confirmed the wiring part would be received on un urgent basis, and repair would be completed.

Recently last week service engineer confirmed that the Battery gone out of recondition level and the Car Stereo also got damaged. I understand tow hat suspension also needs repair due to rust /corrosion. Still I have not received the vehicle.

I strongly feel M/s.Kun Hyundai having the responsibility to keep the vehicle in a protected atmosphere to contain further damage to Battery, Seat Air Conditioner, Car Stereo and Body Corrosion, till the receipt of spars from Original Equipment / Spars supplier, failed and left neglected the vehicle in the yard for rotting on the scorching sun unattended to for more than six months, the Hyundai Motors India Ltd also jointly and severally, responsible for not supplying the spars in time, resulting which my car got more on consequential damages.
